Lol I was just thinking this night how I'd wake up sometimes as a teenager and find my mum just standing there watching me; and how she sometimes covered me on nights I'd be shivering but too lazy to get up and cover myself, so I'm not surprised you are still doing it after a few months, it never ends.

Also took me a while to get used to d sound kept checking to b sure he was alright. My sister still teases me abt it. Then there's this thing their eyes do when they're asleep like rolling then u see only d white d pupils sort of roll up I observed it d day he was circumcized I was sure d nurse had caused my son to bleed to death I screamed til I was told its normal. Felt stupid afterwards.Google confirmed that its normal he still does d eye thing just not as often

The eye roll thing really used to scare me too esp cuz it happens right before they fall asleep. I wonder how new mums survived pre google days, they would be back in the hospital every day for the most foolish reasons.

So my baby is sleeping beside me today and her breathing is so noisy, I know babies breathe weird but she sounds really stuffy so I've been up half the night just watching her breathe (ftm things, maybe cuz I usually don't spend the nights with her, when her breathing is noisy I shine my phone light at her until it stops, when she's quiet, I place my hand on her chest to make sure she's still breathing who can please the world) anyway so I tried to google it and this came up . People are crude. Anyway apparently it's normal for a baby to breath like her airways are stuffed up, that's what I was about to type, not like a pig

The first one was a bit hard for my baby. I just converted one of his burp cloths to a wash cloth and that's what I still use

I bought washcloths too but we've never used them to bath her cuz it looks soft, she sweats and her skin is peeling off in some places cuz of a rash she had in her first week, I need something that can take off all that mixed with powder. I'd sha try a washcloth tonight just Incase I've been underestimating it.

I used the one in the 3rd pic for my newborn till about 5months. I guess it's because of the tender nature of their skin. Started using the one in the 2nd pic afterwards till date, quite soft and no complain.

Thanks, I like the 2nd pix too cuz that's what's used for my 2 year old nephew, it's just the right amount of soft and hard. I'd definitely switch to it when she's old enough, was hoping to see someone that's used it for a newborn tho with good reviews so I can switch faster

Please can I use the sponge in the first and second picture to bath a 3 week old. I'm currently using the one in the last pic but it's useless.

I started with 60 from both. I expressed in the office today and got 200 from both in 20 mins. I'm still aiming for more sef although he still takes formula. You'll get there

I've been meaning to ask how you manage to pump at work. Where do you stay to pump biko. I'm still at 60 from both, today's 90 was a miracle. Atleast it's increasing like you said it would.

For week 2 you are doing good. My son is 4 months when I express I get 120ml from both breast and you need to see him so chubby wit a small potbelly (pics attached). He was 4kg at birth but he is 8.5 kg now . As long as you are feeding on demand the baby will get enough .

Aww what a cutie, I love chubby kids. I'd try to express more and see how it goes

Giddyperson and Sansa you need to see how happy I am that your babies are spitting out the formula you gave them . Teambreastmilk only joor. Please express breastmilk in a bottle and keep for them so that when you want to rest somone else can feed them.
For babies being restless and not sleeping try and google swaddling it helps to calm them down. If it is hot where you are you can swaddle them with only their diaper on. Once they get to three months they sleep longer at night.

Lol I'm trying jor but either I'm just really impatient or my breastmilk/pump is not co-operating. I just got 90 ml after two hours, I'm sha happy cuz this is the most I've ever gotten so yayyy. Any tips? This is week 2 and I'm still giving formular cuz I'm still not sure if she's getting enough breastmilk, tho the flow has remarkably increased from what it used to be in week 1.

Argggh, who else uses tommee tippee manual breast pump, how come I never get any reasonable quantity when I try to express. Is it my breast or the pump biko

If you can still find orange, buy some and after eating, turn it inside out and eat the insides too. You can also make a large pot of vegetable soup and just keep licking it from time to time. These too things worked so well for me post delivery, if not, with my history of constipation, I'm sure I'd have torn my stiches straining.

She's sleeping real deep sleep since after bathing and eating. I've slept my own, bathed and eaten and she's still sleeping.

My baby does this almost every night. How can they even figure out when someone is standing. Even if you are very tall and sitting, they would still cry until you stand. Fortunately if I feed her well then put her on my shoulder, stand and rub her back, 10 mins max she's knocked out and I go and dash her to my sis for the night and come and get her by 6am.

Is he still exclusively breastfed. These days when I give my baby formula, she keeps spitting it out until I get frustrated and whip out the breast.
