Those I’ve heard of consume 0.25-0.29kg per hour. It’s good when you have large number of birds. Charcoal can be too stressful.

I have observed over time that when birds are placed on antibiotics/anticocci, they tend to drink less water which results in low feed intake.
Whenever that occurs, I suspend the drugs if there's sign of relief on the birds and place them on cool clean water after which I administer vitamins to boost their appetite.
But I do think that suspending the drugs without completion of dosage may result to drug resistance. But I haven't experienced it yet for broiler.

I understand. Procaine penicillin is #200 water for injection is #50 each. Use it for the affected ones.

mehn.....my broilers are eating too much....I can hardly meet up...so sad I got 30 broilers thinking at least a bag can last for 1 month...but now I can't meet up and December is around the corner.... God help me...I don't want to be at a lose as I've spent so much from my small teacher salary trying to raise birds.

My oga has said it all. You can raise some money to feed them till 8 weeks, sell some of them. And you get more funds to raise the remaining for Xmas supersize...

i av been find it difficult to upload their pictures, for more elaboration these are the symptoms, pox symptoms almost besides their eyes, swollen region where the signs came out, and the water is coming out of the affected eyes, smtimes they ll close the affected eyes

I've had this case before, it's tough but here is what I did and got excellent result though it was for grower pullets.


Isolate affected birds, give both groups Tylodox + Polidine for 5days.(if you've used tylodox, tylosin or enro, dont repeat)

and spray the birds with polidine- this is to reduce the spread of the coryza.

For the pox-like thing around the eyes, get procaine penicillin and water for injection, inject 0.5 ml per bird. And you'll see how it'll dry up ASAP.

P.S my case was as worse that both eyes of some birds were covered. But it all wiped out and no mortality. The birds are still doing good till date.

And please, improve your ventilation and sanitation so as to aid convalescing and to avoid reoccurrence. The root of this disease is respiratory.
