Hate mails and comments will probably make no difference to this guy. Check their news profile, even in the U.S., they're always saying and doing dumb things because they're always high on marijuana and other hot stuff. You don't expect such characters to be rational in their behaviour, do you?

The 'normal' person cannot understand their way of life. And somehow, this life they live is what sells and make them millions. We all inadvertently encourage them.
Celebrities / Re: Why Am I Getting Married Again – Charly Boy by Gifo(m): 2:46pm On Mar 15, 2010
Forget the elaborate bling bling he displays. He is well educated and intelligent. Everybody in society can't be the same. I think he's an added value to entertainment, don't you think.

Besides I think he's remarrying his wife soon, or do I say renewing vows? It's all good.
Autos / Re: 2011 Hyundai Sonata - Hyundai Don Vexxxxxxxxxxx by Gifo(m): 7:44am On Mar 15, 2010
These guys may not have even owned a Hyundai car. Just making comments based on old perception keeps one in a box and out of touch. If Hyundai were not doing well before, now they are doing well, just admit that!

For instance, 2009/2010 Hyundai Sonata crash rating test conducted by U.S. NHTSA(National Highway Traffic Safety Administration) was rated 5 star, i.e. 5/5. Now this is still Hyundai and by the U.S. highest traffic safety authority.Even the reliability is up to par. The only thing to brush up about Hyundai cars is the resale value, which is improving. Its only being delayed by stands like we are holding now, i.e. Hyundai cannot produce any reliable cars- the perception.

So abi na we know safety pass the U.S? Personally, I've not seen any other thing in the Sonata than pure enjoyment. And this is not just for argument sake, I'm really enjoying the Hyundai Sonata.
Autos / Re: 2011 Hyundai Sonata - Hyundai Don Vexxxxxxxxxxx by Gifo(m): 2:43pm On Mar 13, 2010
If you wanna buy the 'real thing', then do. Even Toyota Lexus were said to be copying Mercedes. When the Japanese came, they were said to be copying the U.S. and Germany. Now they have perfected and being used as standard.

The Koreans came, and they are copy-copy; yet they're bestsellers even in the U.S. Tell me who doesn't 'copy' even the minutest detail not visible to the eyes?

Just appreciate beauty and effort; people are having thrills riding these cars and no qualms.

@Fhemmmy: Men the car is hot. It's tempting to upgrade oh. But just hold small time so we can enjoy the previous model small. A bi na 2011?
Autos / Re: 2009 Hyundai Sonata Brand New? by Gifo(m): 12:48am On Mar 09, 2010
@Sultaan & Kunle-A
You are correct about the time lag for new cars here in naija.
I'm still waiting for the restyled 2010 Hyundai Tucson, not for me though.

@RICHIE BOI
The replies from contributors gave you 'I think Prices'. I just gave you what it was. Like sultaan said what you may likely see now is the 2010 model. The best thing to do would be to call Hyundai Nigeria and the reps here.
Don't forget, you could get promos and nice offers for some short periods; you find out.
Currently, the 2010 Sonata 2.0L leather is N4.095million . It went up a bit this year.

@Marbles
If you want the Sonata without leather, then its cheaper. Personally, I don't consider it. Your question about the functionality may be answered after you've settled the price issue; otherwise it would be of no use.
Autos / Re: 2009 Hyundai Sonata Brand New? by Gifo(m): 6:44pm On Mar 05, 2010
2.0L leather approx. N4.0million(N3.95m);2.4L leather N4.15million. Without leather is over N3million depending on engine capacity i.e. 2.0L & 2.4L.

No doubt, discussing with them may reveal promos or concessions.
Career / Re: When Your Career Ends, What Will You Do Next? by Gifo(m): 2:29pm On Feb 19, 2010
You know guys, it's very easy to say you'll do this and that at the end of your career. There are lots of things to facilitate that. Infact, financing of the business and the experience you need to have may not practically be as easy as one may think.

Generally, start gaining experience on whatever you want to do, say on the side business; and plan for the finances required. Go for a business that will not send you to the streets if it doesn't work out. Believe me, it doesn't always just workout well.

Also the use of all payoff money to invest in a new business should be discouraged; especially the one you don't have experience on. If it doesn't workout, you may go begging as you may not have anything left to take care of your basic needs.
Crime / Re: AIT Reporter Efenji Efenji Stabbed To Death On Vals Day by Gifo(m): 2:03pm On Feb 19, 2010
Why can't the Nigerian police have a working ambulance ready to be in action to resuscitate life just as they respond to SOS calls?

I'm surprised at Saharachic's comment. I wont release my wife to a gang of four for dance anyday. It's very suspicious and not normal. Not that no one could dance with my wife, but not a gang of four!

The whole thing smells of foul play though.
Family / Re: Is Getting Married In Your Late Twenties, Early Thirties Too Late? by Gifo(m): 3:22pm On Dec 30, 2009
Whether you marry early or late, you will still pass through the stages in marriage.

But its better you carryout periodic medical checks to ascertain the state of your fertility(that is if you intend to have your own biological kids). Fibroids and fertility difficulties are known to develop later in a womam's life, except in some cases. No doubt your doctor will advise you on that. But its wise 'cause it can save you a lot of stress later- may not be a stress now. Just a piece of advice.

Everything could also be fine. Its a free world and It's all Good!

Computers / Re: Shopping Websites That Ship by Gifo(m): 5:47pm On Dec 29, 2009
@ goldtito
Can you log on to jcpenney.com through your server? Two years ago I could log on and do shopping, but now I can't log on even with different servers: mtn,directonpc and starrcomms. I wonder if its a general Nigerian server blockage or something else?
Car Talk / Re: Brand New Kia Cerato Vs Used Japanese by Gifo(m): 2:47pm On Nov 20, 2009
Connoisseur:

Hey thanks people for your opinions and suggestions. U guys re cool. I'd stick with the cerato (i really wanna avoid mechanics for a long time).
Also thanks to Seun for letting this make front page.

I was just waiting for this your wise decision! You wont regret it. Every 'expert' can write whatever he/she pleases; but I assure you, here in Nigeria you've made the right choice. So here's to your peace of mind. cheesy
Autos / Re: 2009 Most Anticipated Preordered Vehicle ( Preordered By Gifo Of Nairaland ) by Gifo(m): 9:17pm On Nov 01, 2009
I wonder if people know the full meaning of certain words.

As written by Inspired this is the most anticipated pre-ordered vehicle he had this year. Most anticipated by both of us; of all his orders this year. This was ofcourse due to the peculiar purpose for the pre-order and the circumstances sorrounding the pre-order including his U.S. agents of which I am fully aware of. So what's the fuss all about?

Your comments could easily be ignored as Inspired did. But I wanted to set the records right. Why don't you just pre-order yours as I did? Mine has been delivered to me safe and sound in Port Harcourt. InspiredMen is good!
Romance / Re: Sex On A First Date - Does It Kill A Potential Relationship ? by Gifo(m): 11:38pm On Oct 29, 2009
@simonwal:
There's nothing weird about your position. For me, i'd be pissed off with so much waiting. Infact, my best relationship had sex on the first date. The likeness was mutual so there was no need to stress out when we could really bond ourselves. It worked perfectly.
Foreign Affairs / Re: Obama Wins 2009 Nobel Peace Prize by Gifo(m): 4:33pm On Oct 09, 2009
The Nobel Peace price is not just awarded for measurable achievements alone, but for a whole load of things. Like what one has started and changed, steering the world to a path of peace is a load of achievement. Also award can be given to invigorate a path that the peace loving people of the world wants to see. And any person who is a champion of such path merits a recognition.

Anyway, the members of the Nobel Peace have spoken.
Car Talk / Re: Please Can A Kia Picanto Transit Between Lagos And Port Harcourt by Gifo(m): 4:02pm On Sep 29, 2009
@ underscore & lawyerchap.
You see, I like you guys. We may be one of a kind.

You just don't talk because others are talking. You talk because you know.

So I rest my case. It's a free world, and these days anyone can be an adviser. Still, it is what it is.
Car Talk / Re: Please Can A Kia Picanto Transit Between Lagos And Port Harcourt by Gifo(m): 4:00pm On Sep 24, 2009
The answer to the question @ topic is YES. But the suitability is then the concern, considering the nature of our roads and especially the Ore-Benin-Bayelsa road. I wont recommend it.

But this is different from the position of people like Mrcackles condemning kia(hyundai) products. I bet u've not bought one and used it. I tell you that these cars are being bought and used steadily. A number of people I know are still using their's happily 3years after. Man, you just don't know. Also try the 2009 Sonata, you'll love your life! By the way, I've been using it for long hauls and its just flawless.

So lets be clear about the issue being discussed.

Politics / Re: Rep Slaps Security Man At National Assembly by Gifo(m): 10:34pm On Sep 10, 2009
Paininass et al: In some places of work your I.D. needs to be displayed whether or not you,re known, whatever your position; from MD to junior staff. Infact, there is a magnetic swipe on the ID card that lets you in, without which you cannot get into main offices. This is in addition to the presence of security personnel.
I'm really surprised that such methods are not a policy or mandatory for such high security areas. Self recognition alone is not enough for obvious security reasons. It's not a matter of being too big to show ID. I think its a mentality thing in this country, we carry a lot of chip on our shoulders constituting unnecessary nuisance to all.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Chelsea Banned From Buying New Players Till January 2011 by Gifo(m): 6:25pm On Sep 08, 2009
Like earlier posted, we have not heard the last of this matter. Mancity, Liverpool etc. are currently being accused by different clubs of tap up, The saga continues.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Chelsea Banned From Buying New Players Till January 2011 by Gifo(m): 1:48am On Sep 04, 2009
Its amazing how Chelsea FC issues attract lots of interest from all sides. Its the power of Blue! True Blue 4life. It's all Good.

But know that even your club is guilty of  this, it is a well known ongoing method. Just that for now you are not officially caught and Chelsea FC is being used as a deterrent to others, including your clubs. So stop gloating all over like you are so pure and virgin on this matter. Be rest assured, you've not heard the last of this matter.

Master CacKLe
From the kind of words you use your state of mind and kind of person is easily decoded. More like a very insecure kind of guy full of complex( the inferior one).
Have you wondered why you are the one only 'picked', grow up boy. Whether you like it or not you will grow up and then know that only small minded kind of persons attack people with venom the way you did. Keep it up, boy.
But whether you like it or not ,you will grow up.
TV/Movies / Re: Jim Iyke Beaten Blue Black On Set In Katsina by Gifo(m): 7:24am On Jun 18, 2009
mR cRACKLES, did you say I quoted you? I thought you with your foul words did just that to my write-up. Check again, boy! and I advise you to grow up, or better still be a star so people could talk about you; good or bad,
TV/Movies / Re: Jim Iyke Beaten Blue Black On Set In Katsina by Gifo(m): 3:13pm On Jun 17, 2009
MrCrackles and co; just know that it can also happen to you or any other Nigerian. Everyone steps on others toes one way or the other. But know that a contract was signed for three days, it could be pay as you act, its either we sign a new one or one leaves, all things being equal. I can only stay after the expiration at my discretion.

I bet that most of you criticizing this guy will pluck off people's eyes if they default your contractual agreements with them. If I'm paid to deliver a course for an hour and I played my part, its left for the other party to request for an extention; and ofcourse its not for free.

So watch and ponder before you approve illegality of thuggery. And it doesn't matter if I'm J.I.'s friend. Thuggery is bad, because anyone can also engage thugs be they in uniform or not to perpetuate evil. Watch out! it could be your turn.

@CHIDICRIS
Ha ha ha, chidicris you want to crack my ribs with laughter. So apt, your comment, so apt. Chei, you're just too much.

@Dedeike, the emphasis is not in his ability to own an aircraft older than many nairalanders! But the justification he gave for the purchase;being a public figure that benefits from taxpayers money, which he's not using to better the lot of those he is supposed to lead.
Car Talk / Re: Nairalanders Please Help Rx300 by Gifo(m): 9:48pm On May 30, 2009

Some questions:

1.Does the car idle or stops immediately after start?
2.When do you observe these symptoms,when hot,cold or all the time?
3.What year is the RX?
4.Be patient and please say systematically what you observed when this problem started. Don't assume what the problem is pls.

Big up all ye BLUES!  As for C.Ronaldo, maybe he thought Chelsea could've been an easy win, he forgot Barca could only hold us to a draw both times as against their 2-0. Any way we have added another trophy to our collection. Big up all True Blues.

@whom affected
It seems some guys just come in to the thread and start posting junks; I mean the earlier high pitch start of the poster has been toned down and amicably settled, then some cheap folks will just come in and start going back to the old sh@t. Pls just continue from the present mood in your comments.

On the side, the number of posts may note really indicate who is in the know as suggested by someone. Some are working in the engine room and can see everythingcheesy lol
Family / Re: My Husband Slapped Me Twice And Now He's Not Talking To Me by Gifo(m): 11:55am On Mar 27, 2009
@POSTER
You seem too much in a hurry to terminate your well earned pregnancy and quitting the marriage. Pls is there a sign of guilt somewhere? Might you have done anything to make your man mad outside of the bedroom quarell? Have you praised an ex or another man to his detriment? Have you done anything at all that may have made you and him suspicious of anything at all. Lol, but I think you just listed and emphasised on the Effects and not the Cause.

We need to know the history, 'cause he just can't change immediately after marriage if the decision to marry was taken freely by both of you, methinks. However, we need to talk to that man for hitting a lady,his wife and an expectant mother!
