I don't think you should send another LOE to explain previous trips, as long as there are no immigration offenses. Hold on to your faith, I get that you're now anxious thinking and overthinking every part of your application. It is well.
Chiziteremary:

Good morning guys, (Makano, Frank, Anon123, Ketima)
Pls i need your advice on something. My international passports which i submitted scanned copies of while applying 1st December shows series of trips to Dubai. Ive been to dubai about 20 times in the last 10 years. My last trip was January 2020. I have a personal unregistered business which i started when i left banking in 2012. I still continued the business when i got another job in 2014. I havent travelled again since 2020 January because covid came and slowed down the business.
Pls im just thinking that the VO may be wondering why i have made so many trips to dubai. In my LOE i stated that i started a small business when i left banking but i didnt indicate that its an international business and that i made so many trips to dubai. Pls do u think thats a vital information to share with the VO. Pls also recall i am the same person that had to raise webform and send emails for the previous UK and USA refusals when i was single and one USA refusal in 2010. Pls i am thinking of raising another webform to explain these frequent dubai trips. DO u think its necessary.

Pls assist me with your response

Good news guys, my PPR just came in at 7:46am this morning. It can only be God, I am still in shock. My story is a special one, my Bachelors is Law, I have an LLB, BL (Law School), and Masters in International Business, but I applied for Diploma, not even Post Graduate Diploma, but Diploma in Digital Business Management. I wasn't even aware of this forum when I applied in September, I just followed a YouTuber (Noel Abingwa) and learnt the steps and documents needed when applying for my visa through one of his Videos. I contacted him and he was kind enough to share his statement of purpose/ letter of explanation with me. As I started getting anxious, I decided to join this forum 30th December and it was so encouraging because I kept getting alot of support, more especially from @Makano.

My Time Line

Submission/AOR 6th September 2021
Medicals Passed 25th October 2021
1st Ghost update November (Not sure of exact date)
2nd Ghost update 24th January 2022
3rd Ghost update 19th February 2022
Passport Request 21st February 2022

My application took a total of 168 days , 5months, 15 days. I DID NOT USE AN AGENT

God did it for me. I cannot thank God enough. It can only be God

Good day Nairalanders,

My eligibility review started a weeks ago with "we're currently processing and checking if you meet the eligibility criteria" to "we assess whether you meet the eligibility criteria" as of today.
Please are both of the statements the same thing? Or do they mean different things?

Phew! Big Congratulations!
Sapte:
Long Post Alert

In September 2020, I got my admission letter and started planning ahead of 2021 fall. Meanwhile, this agent never told me I had been refused. I kept on waiting until Frank advised that I link my application to a new mail. This is when I found out that my previous application was refused in October 2020.

Next, we started making plans to submit a new application in 2021. Application was submitted on April 13th.

July 2021, I was refused (my 2nd refusal) based on personal assets and finance.

I decided to opt for JR. I contacted an immigration lawyer, and she filed for a JR on August 6th. GCMS note showed that I had a lump sum, which was from the fixed deposit that I liquidated.

JR Timeline

Courts settlement: September 1st

File reopened: September 14th

Request for new documents: October 8th

Document submitted: October 14th.

Then the wait started. I contacted my lawyer several times to help follow up, but she was reluctant. So Frank, Morayo, and Biola advised that I send a form to IRCC requesting to cancel her as my rep.

I filled out the use of rep form and submitted on January 24th. I started sending 5 emails and web forms daily. In between this period, my husband and I decided to sow a seed, we fasted and had days of praise and worship.

I keyed into my pastor's prayer at David Christian Center (Pastor Kingsley Okonkwo) last Sunday that the yoke of delay is broken. I kept on speaking that word into my life and application. I held on to God's word and on Feb 4th, BVL dropped and PPR today.

I am truly grateful to God. The wait is indeed not easy. In fact, I got two offers from UK schools, and I was even considering opting for one before PPR dropped.

I want to especially thank Frank for his help all through this journey. Morayo and Biola, God bless you so much. Jane, Yinka, and Maureen, I met friends turned sisters in this forum and to everyone still waiting. The God that remembered me is still in the business of doing good.

From a small village in Anambra State to Canada, blessed be God's name.

Congratulations. And sorry for your loss.
username12:
So guys, here is my story.

I submitted my application on 21st November via the new portal, did my upfront medical and biometrics the next day. Upfront medical was updated to passed on 25th November while the biometrics delayed to be updated on the portal till 7th December 2021 after I raised webform and mailed IRCC about it.

During the waiting period, I prayed, fasted, did midnight prayers, booked mass, did everything I could to show God that I was totally depending on him to complete this project as I had done what I could do as a human. I lost faith sometimes, but his mercies always prevailed.

On the 18th of January 2022, my friend received her ppr while I received mine 10 days after hers. My detailed documents submitted are below:

Applicants personal documents
1. College Unconditional Official Letter of Admission,
2. Tuition deposit receipt (from the College)
3. Copy of my Birth Certificate,
5. Copy of West African Examinations Council Senior School Certificate (WAEC),
6. Copy of my International Passport Bio data page,
7. Copy of my family picture (dad, Siblings and I)
8. Statement of Purpose.
9. NYSC discharge certificate
10. Degree certificate
11. Transcripts
12. Reference Letter from my hometown union
13. Landed property documents in Nigeria (Deed of assignments and Survey plans)
14. Proof of rental payment from tenants (rental receipts)
15. Lease agreement for landed property

Applicant's employment/financial documents
1. Letter of Introduction from my employer.
2. Study leave approval letter.
3. Six (6) months Statement of Account (Personal/salary Account) - N21M normal bank statement
4. Promotion letter
5. Work ID card
6. Resume
7. Business Registration Certificate of my business
8. Particulars of the sole proprietorship of the business
9. Previous employment documents
10. Reference Letter from my business clients

My dad was one of my strong hometies, but I unfortunately lost him this January while waiting for PPR. It seemed like it was shaping up to be a bad year, but God showed up and rescued me.

This whole visa process has taught me so much about prayers and dependability on God, there's nothing he cannot do. Fasting and prayers works folks! Trust in God and there's nothing he cannot do for you. My study permit approval is the most improbable of all because I wasn't the most qualified, I wasn't even qualified. God just qualified me and made me eligible.

I requested for gcms on the 5th of January, mailed like 4 MPs in Toronto, only one accepted to help enquire from IRCC on my behalf. She gave me feedback from IRCC this Tuesday that my eligibility review was ongoing, but as at then it hadn't been updated on my portal. Meanwhile, I started mailing Abuja, Lagos, Nairobi and London like 10 times daily from the beginning of January after my application got to 6 weeks. I'd schedule my mails on my email app for every hour from 6am till 2pm Nigeria time, and they'll just deliver automatically at the top of every hour. The responses were always the generic ones, but I didn't care. I'd send webform via the new webform link in between from time to time. It seemed like the mails weren't yielding any thing, but I was encouraged to continue. This Thursday, I saw that my eligibility review had been updated on my portal, I went back and doubled down on my prayers that night, and then scheduled another 10 mails each to just Abuja and Nairobi every hour against Friday. By the time the 8th mail had delivered by 1pm, I received 2 mails from IRCC and also from their Abuja office that there's a message sent to my portal. At that point, I was in the middle of a serious meeting at the office and my hands were shaking to open my portal, I ran to the toilet and lo and behold the beautiful messages of correspondence and ppr were seated pretty on the portal. I didn't know what I felt. I pinched myself to wake up, quickly urinated to know if I will wake up, but it was all reality. I couldn't contain my joy. After all the sleepless nights, worries and all, God has crowned it all with success.

I am eternally grateful to you all on this platform for the encouragement and information shared freely. God bless you. For those still waiting for their good news, keep trusting, there's nothing impossible for God to do.

Like always, it has ended in praise for me.

Hmmmm. You might be asked for an enrollment letter at the airport in Nigeria even. What was your initial plan for tuition when applying for the visa. Although I don't know about any loan, it is important to have paid your tuition (or deposit) or have proof that you have it at the point of entry

Please guys it's urgent do not skip this post

I've already gotten my study permit approved but the problem now is that I haven't payed for tuition and I heard I might be questioned by CBSA. Abeg how and is it possible to get student loan from here nigeria?

Residentourist:
Join me in celebrating God's faithfulness because what he cannot do indeed does not exist!!!
SOWP and study visa applications approved same day!!!

My husband's  SOWP and my 11year old son study permit got approved after the 3rd attempt.
First attempt 2016 we all applied as a family and were all bounced on purpose of visit and home ties. After I got my study permit approved in June 2021 we reapplied  on
11 July 2021 - visitors visa for hubby and study permit for kids
Refused 29th September

Reapplied October 29 before the GCMS notes came because it was delayed.
Medical for my husband November 15 ( my son had done his medicals earlier)
Medical passed November 22
GCMS notes finally came in late November- December 2021 (applied for hubby and the kids and they all came at different dates, one even came in the middle of December) GCMS notes showed the VO was concerned about the cost implications of running 2 homes and home ties.
Luckily all those concerns had been adequately tackled in the SOP during reapplication.
In the course of waiting a friend who had also applied for study permit for her kids decided to try out the new IRCC portal and got her kids visitor visa approved in 7days so we decided to give it a try too. Visitor visa application was done on the 19th of December 2021...then another round of waiting commenced.
Eligibility 20/01/2022 (noticed my son's medical was passed on that date)

PPRs January 21, 2022!!!

Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 20 by Gift212: 10:52pm On Jan 20, 2022
Who knows? Like legacyedition said maybe they tried to contact the bank about the account and didn't get a response.
Or maybe they contacted UBA Nigeria and they couldn't verify as it's from UBA Gambia (or is it the other way round).
It'd be nice to know the reason in GCMS note (after the matter has been sorted).

What I understand is he said as a solution, his bank told him to notarize the bank statement and send it back to the embassy. So he came to ask opinions and suggestions. Not that the initial one he sent was notarized. See exclamation and question marks cheesy

YOU NOTALIZED A BANK STATEMENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A week before submission is fine.
You have to explain and prove where the lump sum is from though.

Good morning everyone, hope we all had a wonderful night rest?
I please what’s the duration my bank statement can last? If I print it a week or two weeks from visa submission is that a red flag?

It doesn't say anything regards medical, asides from "You do not need a medical exam. We will send you a message if this changes".
This is the new portal, so I wasn't sure if I'm supposed to do anything

Anon123:

Check your visa portal, it will be stated there

Okay, thank you. I guess I have to wait until IRCC evaluates the results. I just got medical done on December 22nd, and I wasn't sure if I was supposed to do anything, or if qlife will inform me it's been sent/passed or otherwise.
I used the new portal by the way
Ketima:

Once your medical is passed, you will get the update in your GCkey. Qlife or IOM only sends the medical result to IRCC. IRCC evaluates it, then assign pass or recommend for more tests to be carried out.
