eldoradoxx:
Wike just wants to flex muscles with Buhari on his directive that oil workers are essential workers who should be allowed to move about during the lockdown and nothing more. But Buhari being whom he is will not allow Wike set aside his order by arresting same oil workers that he exempted from the lockdown. What's happening is that Wike does not know that in as much as his power as Gov of Rivers State is not challenged or in doubt, the President still has powers over Rivers State as part of the territory he governs as President and Wike cannot seek to question the decision of his commander in chief. Drama will soon unfold, but Wike should know that every President wields a big stick of power to declare state of emergency in any part of the country and exercise extra constitutional powers over the State which we have seen in the past as including the power to suspend a Governor

Do you think it is that easy to declare a state of emergency over a sitting Governor just because he wants the Governor to bend to his will. Especially a Governor from the opposition party. We have a constitution. We are not in military regime. The president powers are limited in some areas. Moreover Governor Wike is not someone you toy with. Only pipe line explosions will reset the president brain to factory settings.

YORUBA, IGBO and HAUSA have different views on political matters.
Time and time we have talked about rising up to the government only to see our words pushed back with the fear of death.
If we are to come together as one, we must see to death the past and present leaders "all of them".

Ngwa people are very greedy. They are never to be trusted. In fact an Ngwa person living in other parts of Igbo land is never proud to tell you he is from Ngwa. It is in their blood to betray you in a long run if you ever have them as friends.

In your case they have already planned how to milk you dry, including her mother. Being Mischievous is the only thing that keeps them together. As you can see they have already seen you as a stranger.

Your woman is aware of this but kept silent probably she is looking for every means to get away from her people. Don't really know why you chose to marry from that clan.

Family / Re: My Husband Doesn’t Want My Son To Come And Stay With Us by giftedben: 10:38am On Mar 13, 2020
Vyvyanvyvy:
I had 2 children. When I got married, my husband had none and accepted them like his own children.

Before marriage, we had discussed about the children living with us after marriage but that couldn’t be possible anymore because we were having financial problem so we couldn’t afford to move to a bigger apartment. We were staying in a room self contain with my daughter while my son was staying with my elder brother and his wife.

Now three years after we had moved to a bigger house still my husband doesn’t want my son to come and live with us. At the moment my son is going through hard times. My sister in law has been maltreating him to an extent that he has been stealing, he was caught and beaten like an animal. My brother said he doesn’t want him in his house again. He wants me to come and collect him.

I pleaded with my husband for me to bring him with us but he said no, he should stay there because he doesn't want him to damage our children. I’m angry at him I stopped talking to him and I don’t know where my son will go because I have no mother no father it’s only my elder brother and kid sister even my sister who is married doesn’t want him. I’m pained and in tears seeing my only son suffering while I’m still alive and I’m helpless to protect him.

Madam it is not easy but if you are financially ok, I think it is time to make or break with your husband. My best advice to you is to make him understand that you can't sleep knowing fully well your child have no place to stay. He is their Step father and as such, have taken responsibility to see your children come off age. If he does not see reasoning with you, then he has betrayed your trust towards him and when you don't trust someone, why stay married to that person?!.

Recently opera subscription doesn't work for opera mini but the main opera browser.
So my best advice for you is to download the main opera from play store.

You even copied the last line "however if you are a social media addict..15-16 hours..." word for word. This isn't According to your own experience. Stop acting smart, you copied a review which wasnt your own.

I dont get why you had to be dishonest with your review, all you did was copy a review from another website and changed phrases that sounded negative esp the lagging and issue with switching between apps. You just didn't want to share your own first hand experience with the phone. Deceiving people shouldn't be a way of life.

I don't get you? Do you use the phone? Have you tried using it? I gave out first hand review based on the questions provided to me. And you call that dishonesty!! Smh get a life and stop looking at the negative aspect of things.

You were expecting me to write "the phone lags" but I won't because the phone do not lag at all. I got this phone around September 2019. And I am already on Miui 11.0.5 based on android 9 and I can tell you most of the things you saw in that article is a thing of the past.

What's stopping the several vigilante groups in the southeast from curbing the excesses of these terroristic herdsmen? Or is it that they are afraid to confront them and protect igbo's in their own land?? It's not making sense to me.

It is not that they are afraid. They only follow the orders of the State Governors because their salaries are being payed by them.

Hello can you please share your experience with this xiaomi redmi 7a? i am considering the phone but will like to know about its performance from someone who uses it.
Does it get uncomfortably hot during usage? does it get hot while charging? does the phone hang during usage and while switching from one app to the other? how loud are the speakers? Are there issues with ads popping up on the phone when connected to the internet? How well does the battery last?
Any comments about the general performance of the phone?

Will be anticipating your feedback in earnest thanks.

My Redmi 7a is 2GB + 32GB variant (matte blue)

The phone has a plastic body and features curved edges. Back of the device features a single 13 mega pixel camera sensor with an LED flash placed under it. There is no fingerprint sensor on the rear side, but the smartphone offers face unlock for security, with 5 mega pixel front camera and a led notification light at the front.

Redmi 7A also features nano-coating for protection against spalshes and other damages.

Redmi 7A comes with HD+ display with an aspect ratio of 18:9. The display offers bright and vivid colours and a satisfactory viewing experience.

Redmi 7A: Performance.
Xiaomi Redmi 7A comes powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 octa-core processor. This device does not get hot during usage and delivers extraordinary performance. Launching of apps did not take noticeable time. Switching between apps is fluid. Redmi 7A is not ad-free, but you only get to see ads in their inbuilt apps like file Manager, Video Player, Music player. The ads does not pop up and are not annoying at all.

It also features High volume speakers Up to 20% louder, convenience for playing video and music, also for making calls.

Xiaomi Redmi 7A: Battery.
Redmi 7A houses a 4,000mAh battery and comes with a 10 watt micro USB fast charger. It does not get hot while charging, with an average usage, the phone can easily last for two days. However, if you are a social media addict and loves checking Facebook and Instagram every now and then, Redmi 7A can last for 15-16 hours.
Health / How Deadly Is COVID-19? by giftedben: 10:30pm On Mar 03, 2020
The ongoing COVID-19 outbreak is still in its early stages, having emerged in China at some point in late 2019 and spread to dozens of countries in early 2020. There’s plenty we don’t know about this virus, called SARS-CoV-2, but a clearer picture is starting to emerge in regards to how it spreads and who’s most at risk of both contracting and dying from this disease.

Before we get into the latest research, however, it’s important to understand how a SARS-CoV-2 infection actually leads to death.

This new coronavirus is similar to SARS, which stands for “severe acute respiratory syndrome,” which is why the virus itself is informally referred to as SARS-2. The disease, which is associated with fever and cough, has also been referred to as NCIP, which stands for “novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV)-infected pneumonia.” As both of these titles suggest, the disease affects the lungs and our ability to breathe. In severe cases, the arising pneumonia can trigger a dangerous condition known as acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS), which causes the lungs to fill with fluid and become rigid. This makes breathing difficult, if not impossible, requiring some patients to be hooked up to mechanical ventilators. Consequently, death from COVID-19 is typically due to massive damage to the lungs and progressive respiratory failure, according to recent research published in the Lancet.

Who’s most at risk?.
Men appear to be more at risk of both contracting and dying from COVID-19; China CDC stats show that 2.8 percent of males have died from the disease, compared to 1.7 percent of females. It’s not immediately clear why this should be the case, but many sociological and cultural factors could explain why men might be more prone to contracting the disease (e.g. perhaps more men in China travel for work).

That said, the most significant risk factor for dying from COVID-19 is age. According to China CDC, people above the age of 80 have a 14.8 percent chance of dying from the disease; people in their 70s, 8 percent; people in their 60s, 3.6 percent; and people in their 50s, 1.3 percent. Once below this age range, the risk of dying drops to between 0.2 and 0.4 percent. Again, these figures could be inflated due to the fact that a plethora of mild cases likely aren’t reported.

In addition to age, pre-existing medical conditions are also a major contributor to death from the disease. COVID-19 patients who also had cardiovascular disease had a 10.5 percent chance of death; diabetes, 7.3 percent; chronic respiratory disease, 6.3 percent; hypertension, 6 percent; and any form of cancer, 5.6 percent, according to China CDC stats. Clearly, advanced age plus any of these conditions are a dangerous combination.

The incubation period of the disease is around five days but can be as long as 12 days in some cases, according to the Li study. Importantly, this evidence supports the 14-day quarantine period for exposed individuals.

We “should be prepared” for COVID-19 to “gain a foothold throughout the world, including in United States and Nigeria.” Regrettably, we may have no choice but to shift out of containment mode and adopt mitigation strategies instead. These strategies could involve “social distancing,” which would involve the isolation of sick people (e.g. staying home), closing schools, canceling events like seminars and conferences, and working from home, among other measures.

We probably shouldn’t compare COVID-19 to other outbreaks, such as influenza. This disease and the ensuing outbreak is its own unique beast. It’s clear from the data that we’re now firmly entrenched in uncharted territory.

Remember, your king was also removed and sent on exile to another land some years ago in that state due to his agbero behaviour and stubbornness.

Again, it's the same stubbornness that made your kings in a neighboring state to fight themselves in a peace meeting. One even boasted he beat up the other.

Imagine their King selling land, is that not poverty?. The funny part. These lands will be sold off to the Igbos. Soon all Western States will become a no man's island. Colonisation on the move grin grin grin
