RomanceRe: Why Do Men Takes Good Girls For Granted by ginas: 7:51pm On Nov 02, 2013
It has nothing to do with good girls or bad girl, Everyman is looking for the ideal girl that completes him.

The so called good girls have some bad attitude that pushes the men away.

1, They have the "holy than thou attitude" its a turn off for men

2. They are very controlling, (a man want some space)

3. They can be too serious about everything (a man want to relax and have fun)

4. They are too relax and too comfortable in the relationship (a man wants some challenge)

5. They are too suspicious of the man having an affair ( a man want to be trusted)

Christianity EtcRe: COZA Members Ask Pastor Biodun To Tell The Truth About The Sex Scandal by ginas: 10:54am On Aug 28, 2013
I perceive the reason Ese resorted to social media was because -

1. She had confessed the Act to a few highly placed persons in the ministry, but to her disappointment these same men turn on her and blamed her for seducing their Pastor instead of tackling the issue head-on.

2.The emotion behind the writing also may have suggested that the story may be as well known to the church's inner circle who all points accusing fingers at her for being the devil.

3. So what other option is she left with than to bring it out to the open for nigerian to judge.

4.The point she is trying to clarify from my understanding is that it was the pastor who seduced her and not the other way round.

5. The lady does not claim innocence. Neither does the church claim not to know her. The other branch pastor has not denied that Ese confessed her sins to him or even did he denied his acknowledgement of the case prior before Ese confession.

6. Who may have seduced who does not matter anymore. What matters is did it really happen. Ese has done her own part, let the Pastor do his as well.

FamilyRe: How Do We Reduce Thoughts Of/attempts At Suicide? by ginas: 12:05am On Jul 06, 2013
Its a miracle am alive today after a few suicidal attempts, the last of which I was hospitalize for taking over doze of a certain drug (won't want to mention).

My reason for speaking up is to help identify those already trailing that path.

1) Nothing seems to interest you anymore

2) Then you begin to withdraw from friends, loved ones, church as for me.

3) What makes things worse is that a victim does not want to be helped. Depression is the order of the day, life is just a living hell.

4) You become caught up in your own world. And if anybody had offended you , you wouldn't let go.

5) You then begin to seek a way out of your misery.

6) Then you begin to loose the fear for death.

7) Then all my friend I used to play with before began to think of me as insane. (I even once over heard when passing bye)

cool Note that it take a while before courage to commit suicide eventually come, (for me I heard nursed the idea for a few years before I start to attempt it)

But thank to God almighty, My mum and family members who showed me so much love.

Now I am 31 years old and can barely remembered I was once in that situation before (haven battled it for about eight years)

For me endless love and care was the key. I hope this will help someone.
BusinessRe: A Paid Job Or Entrepreneurship For A Fresh Graduate? - Please Advice by ginas: 4:34pm On Jul 03, 2013
Bros, if you don't pursue your dreams, others will pay you to help them achieve their own dream.

1) If you decide to pursue you dreams then you have your destiny in your own hands. You can make of yourself whatsover you desire.

2) If you decide to till another man's vine yard, fine its your decision; but be sure that the man who has control of your time has control over your destiny.

3) Note that as the years goes bye, the harder it would be for you to make reasonable savings that can start a business, because you will have more responsibility.

4). No employer will ever give you what you truly deserve because they are not fools, they will only pay you the minimum that will keep you working. Top on their agenda is to make you dependent on them, so you can give then all your time an attention for many years to come.

5) All they need is your productive years, and as long as you continue to deliver they will continue to entice you with car loan, house loan, oversea trip to blind you , to keep you trapped and to keep your attention focused on their ultimate goal.

6) When your productivity drops you then become unfit for the company and then you are left with a sack a letter and if lucky with some chicken change.

7) This is how it has been from ancient times bros. For there will always be employers and employees, servants and master. Which of them you decide to be is in your hands.

Finally, whether you would become a master/employer or servant/employee is all in your hands to decide today it can be left for tomorrow.

God help you and be wise.
SportsRe: Your Assessment Of Keshi's Team To The Confederations Cup? by ginas: 8:09am On Jun 24, 2013
This is the best Naija Team since the 1994 squad. This team can go places, they just need to address the top striker position as well as the right side of the defence (all goals conceded in the conf was for that side).

The team will mature with time and learn from their mistakes I believe.

Nice job KESHI
SportsRe: Nigeria Vs Uruguay - Confederations Cup: (1 - 2) On 20th June 2013 by ginas: 9:18am On Jun 21, 2013
NIGERIA VS URUGUAY GAME OVERALL ASSESSMENT.

The team is Really improving, atleast they seems to have added something to their game since Keshi took over:
1) perfecting the art of knocking the ball around and stopping the opposition from playing.
2) Learning to choke-up the middle and allow the full backs to overlap.
3) being very comfortable on the ball and overall team play.

LESSONS TO LEARN:

1) Learn to counter attack well.
2) Learn to quickly respond to opposition change of strategy
3) Effective use of set piece
4) Respect their opposition and Keep concentration 100 percent
5) The coach must have a plan B and C if A don't work.
6) This team needs atleast five above exceptional talent to dominate africa for a long time and pose serious competition to the best in the world.

Uruguay was not better but more experienced that is why the won.

The team is inexperience and unexposed to matches of such calibre. I seriously hope they learnt from this.

FINAL NOTE

There is no doubt the team has made tremedeous improvement and I hope this continues for a long time.

PoliticsBoko Haram: Jonathan Gives Condition For Amnesty by ginas(op): 9:37am On Mar 08, 2013
By Muhammad Bello

Against the backdrop of calls for the granting of amnesty to adherents of the Jama'atul Ahlus Sunnah Lidda'awati Wal Jihad, otherwise known as Boko Haram, the federal government has indicated that adherence to this is predicated on the physical appearance of the leadership and elements of the group.

President Goodluck Jonathan gave this condition Thursday during a town hall meeting with stakeholders in Yobe State, where he paid a one day visit.

Although the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) had faulted the call for amnesty as an anti-dote to the current problem of Islamists insurgence, the Sultan of Sokoto, Abubakar Sa'ad had pioneered the request ahead of the president's visit to Yobe Wednesday.

RomanceWoman Donates Kidney To Boyfriend For Valentine's Day by ginas(op): 10:06am On Feb 26, 2013
[img][/img]
KANSAS CITY, KS (KCTV) -
One might not expect to receive an organ from your lover on Valentine's Day, but one Kansas City couple had a unique gift exchange of affection.

Taesha Benson, 32, gave her boyfriend, Travis Spire-Sweet, her left kidney as the ultimate gift of love.

Now 30 years old, Spire-Sweet was born with only 25 percent of a functioning kidney and wasn't expected to live past his first birthday.

After learning to cope with his chronic kidney problems, he became an advocate for other patients suffering from similar diseases and had been on the deceased donor list for more than a year.

But, thanks to the perfect match donation from his girlfriend's, he is looking forward to a healthier and longer life.

University of Kansas Hospital officials said the couple are already home from the hospital and recovering from the transplant surgery performed last week.

Benson knew even beyond their relationship that being an living organ donor was the right decision for her.

"Initially you think, ‘How could I do that? I don't have it in me,'" Benson said. "But over time I got to know Travis and his love of life. Not many people come along who have his integrity, character and optimism. Travis just happens to be my boyfriend. He has provided me with a new love of life."

Feb. 14 is universally recognized as Valentine's Day, but few are aware that National Donor Day is also celebrated that day.

National Donor Day was established in 1998 and is recognized as a time to raise awareness about the importance of organ and tissue donation.

On average, 18 people die each day waiting for transplants because of a shortage of donated organs, according to statistics.

"Living donation helps in two major ways by not taking a potential deceased donor kidney from the organ pool, so it can be used for another recipient without a living donor and it provides a living donor organ for a recipient who would otherwise have to wait years for a deceased donor kidney," surgical transplantation director Dr. Sean Kumer said. "Living donor recipients enjoy a longer organ survival on average three to five years longer than the commensurate deceased donor kidney."

But thanks to donors, like Benson, an average of 79 people are able to secure life-saving organ or tissue transplants each day.

Nairaland GeneralTenant Alleges Landlord Spanked Him For Late Rent by ginas(op): 9:04am On Feb 26, 2013
A landlord in Waynesville, Ohio is facing an assault charge for allegedly spanking a tenant four times on his butt with his belt.
53-year-old Ron Kronenberger pled not guilty Thursday in a Warren County courtroom and was ordered to stay away from the tenant.
The alleged incident took place on January 22nd.
The Waynesville police report states the alleged victim was $2,800 overdue on his rent payment. According to the report, the 29-year-old tenant went to visit Kronenberger at his grocery store when Kronenberger shut and locked his office door and told the man's wife to wait outside. The tenant says they discussed rent payment and a job search before Kronenberger left his office and returned with a belt.
The tenant says his landlord stated "If you're going to act like a child, I'm going to treat you like one" and told the man to bend over and place his hands on a chair. The report states the tenant complied and alleges Kronenberger then spanked him four times on the butt. Pictures taken show little marks allegedly the result of the incident.
When police asked the tenant why he agreed, he stated he "was scared and just wanted to get it over with."
According to the police report, Kronenberger admitted to whipping the man in his office due to the late rent payment.
"It's just a quiet little village community and not much really happens here. So, it's kind of shocking," village resident Mary Hammiel told FOX19.
As the signs leading into the village state, Waynesville is known for its antiques and sauerkraut festival, not for scandal.
Kronenberger's former employee of more than 12 years, Mary Hammiel could not believe the spanking allegations.
"That part kind of shocks me, but he's a great person," she argued. "Ron has done a lot for the Village of Waynesville."
"He just participates in everything," echoed local business owner Judy Prickett.
In fact, Kronenberger helped run the annual Waynesville Sauerkraut Festival, he was a former chamber president, and he even landed the Lions Club's distinction of "Citizen of the Year" back in 2006.
"I don't know what made him go over the edge to do this but I'm sure he had a reasoning behind it; right, wrong, or indifferent," Hammiel said. "I'm going to have to stand behind Ron on this."
Kronenberger denied comment Thursday following his court appearance. He is expected back in court next Wednesday.

Foreign AffairsShocking Facts Of Pistorius' Murder Case by ginas(op): 8:58am On Feb 22, 2013
The Oscar Pistorius saga took another bizarre turn on Thursday. USA TODAY Sports looks back at the first week of the ongoing case and picked the 10 most shocking facts yet.

1. The killing. The most important facts of the case are not in doubt: Early on Valentine's Day morning, Oscar Pistorius, the double-amputee Olympian who is arguably South Africa's biggest sporting star, shot through a bathroom door at his home in Pretoria and killed his girlfriend, 29-year-old model and law school graduate Reeva Steenkamp. Was it cold-blooded murder, as police claim, or did Pistorius think he was shooting at an intruder? Lawyers will argue, a verdict will be reached and observers around the world will debate, but only one man knows the answer, and he's sitting in a holding cell, awaiting word on whether he'll go free before South Africa's trial of the century.

2. The lead detective charged with seven attempted murders. Detective Hilton Botha dealt a blow to the prosecution on Wednesday after he was forced to admit shoddy police work upon defense cross-examination. (See No. 3.) That was nothing compared to Thursday's bombshell. It was revealed that Botha is facing seven attempted murder charges stemming from a 2011 incident in which he and two other officers shot at a minivan. Reports say the men were chasing down a murder suspect. The charges had been dropped but were reinstated 10 days before Steenkamp's death.

The National Prosecuting Authority said Botha's past is "completely unrelated" to the trial. Barry Roux, a defense lawyer for Pistorius, disagrees. Though the 2011 incident certainly had no bearing on the Feb. 14 events at the home of Pistorius, it may cloud the trial. Observers were quick to point out how questions about the integrity of Detective Mark Fuhrman possibly swayed the O.J. Simpson jury to acquit the former football star of double murder.

3. Police blunders. Botha initially said the two witnesses who heard screaming from Pistorius' house on the night of the killing were 600 meters away. He later changed the distance to 300 meters. Other admissions: Investigators missed a spent bullet in the toilet and didn't take pictures of a box of bullets but snapped photos of Pistorius' medals.

4. Was he wearing his prosthetic legs? Pistorius says he walked to the bathroom on his stumps, then shot through the door. Botha said the angle of the bullet holes suggest Pistorius was standing tall on his prosthetics. The police theory gives credence to a charge of premeditation. If Pistorius had time to put on his prosthetics, they'll argue, then he wasn't getting out of bed quickly to pursue an intruder.
Complicating the issue is Botha's later admission that police found no inconsistencies in Pistorius' account of events. Which is it? Do the angles of the bullet trajectories contradict Pistorius' statement or don't they?

5. The empty bladder debate. An autopsy revealed Steenkamp's bladder was empty when she was killed. Since it would be highly unlikely for a person's bladder to be fully empty at 3 a.m., the defense says this shows Steenkamp was using the bathroom before the killing. The theory floated: She locked herself inside after hearing Pistorius yelling at an intruder.

6. Bloody cricket bat. "Was Steenkamp's skull crushed with bloodied cricket bat 'found' at Pistorius's house?" blared a headline in the Daily Mail after reports emerged that police were considering a theory that Pistorius beat Steenkamp to death. That scenario has since been dismissed. Pistorius said he used the bat to break down the bathroom door, and police have not suggested otherwise.

7. Pistorius' confidence. A front page article in The Times (of South Africa) quoted a police officer who said he had contact with Pistorius after Wednesday's hearings. "He's convinced he'll be out by the weekend and back on the track before the end of the year," the officer said. Would an innocent man be that confident? Could a guilty man be that delusional? If that quote is accurate, psychologists could have a field day dissecting it.

8. Drugs? Botha said police found two boxes of testosterone, syringes and needles in a bedroom cabinet. Later, a police spokesman admitted the contents of the box were unknown. Testosterone is a banned substance by the IOC. The defense says the boxes contained an herbal remedy commonly used for sexual enhancement purposes.

9. The gun on the nightstand. On its Thursday front page, the New York Daily News ran a 2010 photograph of a bedside table at Pistorius' house. Scattered among the routine items like car keys and a remote control is a Taurus hand gun.

10. Media circus overshadows all. While the world is transfixed by the drama in a Pretoria courtroom, it's easy to lose sight of the tragedy of a woman dying young and the family that's left to pick up the pieces.

But come to think of it, if you are given one chance to head a ministry of Government or Parastatal, house rep or senator just for 6 month; will you or will you not embezzle at least just a little for your self and family, or instead will you just take your salary package and benefits then hit the road.

I want my fellow nairalanders to give their sincere opinion knowing that God is watching you as you speak .
