Baby with multiple Arabic inscriptions on her body has drawn the attention of a lot of people and families attracting massive visit in her parent’s residence in Sokoto.

According to reports by Daily Trust, the baby was born on March 2, 2019, with the inscription on her chest, thigh, and back as well as a crescent sign- one of the symbols of Islam on her ankle. She was delivered at the Police Clinic along Barth Road Sokoto.

Her parents, Alhaji Hussaini and Saratu Yusuf, are filled with amazement and joy to be the parents of the ‘miracle baby’. Her mother explained that she didn’t experience any complication during pregnancy. She is the fourth of her parents, who have been married for 16 years...

Depression has no age restriction on who to hit or when to hit. It leaves one in a place of confusion, self-doubt, helplessness, hopelessness, and worthlessness. However, it can be treated with proper medication, talk therapy, and dedication.

Samuel Olatunji aka Big Sam, Ace Public Relations specialist, narrates how he almost committed suicide 8 years ago amidst his ordeal through life.

I Almost Committed Suicide



About eight years ago, I never used to get broke. The least I would have per time would be 100k (when I'm broke). I moved to a bigger office and started to dream of conquering more territories. But life had other plans. Life started happening to me. All of a sudden, I started getting broke to the point of not having N1000. Business started dying, my so beautiful life began to witness the ugly side of it. I was flummoxed, scared, and tired.



I initially thought I got my planning wrong, I replanned, restrategize and read all the books I could.



Let me not forget the many days of fasting, I prayed. Perhaps I had sinned. I stayed away from sins and friends that could lead me into temptation. I worshipped and did all spiritual works, yet things were the same.



I started failing in meeting my basic obligations, started owing salary and was owing two banks. It was as if all elements of life combined to deal with me. Heaven was shut. I became lost. People that ought to understand became rumour mongers. I was down and out.



My life became a hot mess. I could not even pray anymore, my heavy heart couldn't put words together. Everything was static. I wanted peace yet chaos was all I had.



One Sunday morning as I was preparing to go to church, I thought suicide would be a better option. Thought ending it all would be better. I will at least have some measure of peace, the peace I desperately wanted.



Somehow, I didn't follow through with the plan to kill myself. I made some major decisions and let God play his role as God. I left the office and worked day and night. God came through as usual. I have gone on to handle PR for major events and celebrities, manage special talents and two movies I executive produced (The Ghost and The Tout (co-owned) and Seven and a Half Dates were part of top 20 box office hits of 2018). If I had killed myself. Many dreams would have died. There would be no new chapter to write.



Please don't let life or the devil win. Keep working on your life. This is a phase of life, it will pass. Don't commit that suicide, give yourself a second chance. Like phoenix, you will rise from your ashes. Good morning. Bigsam

Tragedy struck the household of several Nigerians in Ita Faji, Lagos Island on Wednesday morning, March 13, 2019, as a 3-story building collapsed. The building that served as residents and also a school with over 100 students in it, collapsed by itself unhindered claiming the lives of some of the students of Ohen Nursery and Primary School, women and men that were in the building. The school is said to be on the last floor of the three-story building.

Soon after the calamity, able-bodied men in the neighborhood and the rescue team swoop into action to save the lives of these casualties trapped in the building. Many of the crowd and parents were left devastated as they, in turn, searched for their children. However, few of the causalities were said to be dead while some were unconscious and badly injured.

About 41 people survived the collapse, and a health worker shared that some of them were transferred to LUTH, LASUTH, the accident centre at Tollgate, Lagos Island General Hospital.

According to reports, the building was already marked for demolition by members of Lagos State Building Control Agency (LASBCA) because of how old and weak it seemed before the incident but no action was taken by the agency.

Speaking to the newsmen this morning, Adeshina Tiamiyu, the General Manager of Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), has said all the bodies trapped under the collapsed Lagos Island building have been recovered and a statement will soon be released detailing the number of casualties.

Ghanaian journalist and atheist, Chris-Vincent Agyapong, has shared his opinion as to debunk the idea to God’s existence as regards the Ethiopia Airlines crash. In his statement, he asked why God didn’t intervene to save the delivers on the plane.

There are a few possible reasons why none was saved:

1. God was sleeping
2. God was busy drinking beer with Satan
3. God couldn’t be bothered as he does not care about homo sapiens
4. God caused this evil to happen himself

In the crash that claimed the lives of no fewer than 157 passengers on an Ethiopian Airlines Boeing 737 plane that took place on Sunday morning leaving the families of these victims in shock, a young man has in turn used the opportunity to wish death upon the the popular gay right activist Bisi Alimi and his husband Anthony Davis. The man in person of Temitope JohnSaw took to his facebook page to ask why the couple were not involved in the crash.

It was revealed that Bisi Alimi and Anthony Davis are currently on their honeymoon. They travelled during the same weekend that the tragic plane crash occurred.

However, Bisi has reacted to the insensitive post Temitope made on both his Facebook and Instagram page.

Peace Ntuk, Niger Delta human rights activist, who was involved in a ghastly accident on 5th of July 2018 took to her Facebook page to thank God for life also sharing photos of herself recuperating.

As at the time of the accident, her car a total wreck but she was lucky to have survived the auto crash leaving her with scars on her head.

A 40-year-old pregnant woman, reported as a parent in a school in Tlhatlaganyane, outside Rustenburg, South Africa has been arraigned at the Mankwe Magistrate’s Court in Mogwase for allegedly beating a teacher with an umbrella.

The 52-year-old Grade three teacher Mpuseng Sepotokele, of Leema Primary School, was hospitalised after receiving the beating of her life at the school gate upon arrival from a parent who accused the teacher of assaulting her child. The teacher was repeatedly assaulted on the head and hands with an umbrella and she sustained injuries including open wounds.

According to Tlhalefang, Sepotokele’s son, he said “My mother called me around eight in the morning saying I should come to the school as she was assaulted. I rushed there to find her in the staff room in bad shape. She said a parent beat her at the school gates for no reason. Right now I don’t know if I want her going back to that school,” he said while visiting his mother at the Ferncrest Hospital in Tlhabane.

Rachael Godwin, a 32-year-old physiotherapist, recounts her ordeal of how her boyfriend, a suspected Internet fraudster forcefully made her wear a pant which he allegedly used for money rituals.

The victim, who works at the National Orthopaedic Hospital, Igbobi, Lagos, shared her story to the News Agency of Nigeria NAN on Wednesday, stating she became hypnotized after the suspect, Olumide, and her neighbour forced her to wear the pant he brought to her house.

Four children of the same mother have been burnt to death at their home in Animal Line by Dore Street, off Mciver Market in Warri, Delta State.

The calamity came upon the family on Tuesday night, March 5, when the children reported being between the ages of six months to six years old and their mum got involved in a fire outburst that occurred in their home. A nine-year-old male pet lion mauled its owner to death in his family home in the Czech Republic.

Michal Prasek, kept tow big cats, male and female in home-made enclosures in his back yard in the village of Zdechov, where he was attacked and killed by the male lion. Prasek father informed the police after he found his body in the lion’s cage through a security camera and told local media it had been locked from the inside.

A police spokesperson told local media that the animals were shot dead by the police when they got to the scene of the attack. Prasek had been raising the male lion since 2016 and acquired the lioness 2018 in separate cages and had kept them illegally after being denied planning permission by authorities to build the cage.

Residents were not allowed on his property as they feared the presence of the animals.

Senate President, Bukola Saraki has been knocked off from the Senatorial race has he lost the Kwara Central Senatorial District election to Ibrahim Oloriegbe of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The People’s Democratic Party(PDP) was defeated by his counterpart in each of the four local governments in the district: Ilorin South, Ilorin West, Ilorin East and Asa. The result of the election showed that Ibrahim Oloriegbe bagged a total of 123,808 votes while Saraki had in total 68,994 votes.

According to the results announced by INEC, Oloriegbe beat Saraki with 15,932 votes to 11,252 in Asa; 30,014 votes to 14,654 in Ilorin East; 26,331 votes to 13,013 in Ilorin South; and 51,531 votes to 30,075 in Ilorin West.

Saraki served as Kwara State governor for two terms under the platform of PDP between 2003 and 2011. He was first elected to the Senate before he was elected Senate President after winning re-election in 2015 under the platform APC. He, however, decamped to his former political party, PDP during which he declared his intention to run for President but lost to Atiku Abubakar.

Many Nigerians believed that a female member of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Fakorede Bukola had died in the crisis that occurred during the election that took place in Bonny, Rivers state last Saturday, February 23rd following the picture that went viral on all social media platform of her being carried by her male colleague.

She, however, took to her Instagram page to praise her hero...

Nigerians have come out to perform their civic responsibility in deciding who their next President will be. Following the Saturday’s Presidential Election, INEC has officially opened the National Collation Centre in Abuja to announce the results of the election by 11am today as against the proposed date and time, 24th February 2019 by 6pm which was first announced by the INEC chairman, Mahmood Yakubu.

The result emerging from the various polling unit across the states have been successfully collated by INEC officials with Ekiti been the first state to present results.
