On Wednesday, 5th of June, a final year Accounting student of Ekiti state university attempted to take his life because he was involved in the mass failure of one of his courses.

According to an aide of the former Governor Ayo Fayose, Lere Layinka said the victim was rushed to state hospital (EKSUTH) where doctors are currently battling to save his life.

Another shocking news revealed that around 4pm on Tuesday, May 14, 2019, Michael Arowosaiye, a gospel artist with the Redeemed Christian Church of God ended his on life.

He was said to have hung himself with his belt at Sunnyvale Estate, Lokogoma District, Abuja.

Arowosaiye, who recently ministered during a Youth Praise event at the church, was said to have entered into depression over certain personal issues before taking the sad step.

In the early hours of today, Premium Times reported that officials of The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) apprehended Azeez Fashola popularly known as Naira Marley.

Premium Times also confirmed that The Nigerian musician was being interrogated at the EFFC office in Lagos in a report made by a top source at the agency.

Shortly after the story of Lizzy, a 26-year-old girl who was introduced to the hard drugs by her boyfriend lacing her weed with cocaine surfaced online yesterday, the management of Vivian Fowler Memorial College for Girls, in its statement, released a disclaimer disassociating itself from the drug addict.

The video released by the Senior Pastor of The House of Freedom, Tony Rapu, in a bid to get Lizzy to a rehabilitation center and off the street has received a lot of attention across social media.

Speaking on her educational background, Lizzy had said she graduated from Caleb Nursery and Primary School and Vivian Fowler College.

However, the management of Vivan Fowler College issued a disclaimer stating that the school had no record her. According to the statement published, they obtained Lizzy’s full names after an investigation and discovered that her name did not match any in their records from inception till date.

An abandoned baby was found by an old man, a security officer, behind the Badarawa hospital in Kaduna state yesterday, March 21st. The man who rescued the baby said he found a note by the side of the child left by the mother of the baby.

The letter, written in Hausa Language explained that she was disowned by her parents after she informed them that she was pregnant. She said she decided to dump the baby because she couldn’t take care of him. She appealed to good spirited individuals to help her cater for her baby and also help her ask God for forgiveness.

The atrocities within the school premises of the Federal University of Petroleum Resources Effurun (FUPRE) in Delta State has risen to its climax after a 100 level student was robbed and stabbed, yesterday, with two weeks to her exams. Following the recent collapse of the 3-story school building located in Ita Faji, Lagos Island, that occurred on March 13, 2019, the Lagos State Government has revealed that a total amount of 20 children and adults died in the collapsed building.

At a news conference at the Lagos Island General Hospital, Lagos, State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Jide Idris disclosed that 20 victims have been confirmed dead, with 45 others known to have survived the tragic incident and were receiving treatment.

He also said that the corpses have already been released to the affected families with 16 of the deceased victims identified as children who attended the school.

“Out of the 45 survivors known to the government as at this morning, 14, including 10 children and four adults, are still receiving medical attention at Lagos Island General Hospital.

“More survivors will still be discharged to their families before the close of work today,” he said.
