According to report reaching Gistlobby.com.ng, La Doncella or The Maiden, is that of a teenage girl who died more than 500 years ago in a ritual sacrifice in the Andes Mountains.

The girl and two other children were left on a mountaintop to succumb to the cold as offerings to the gods, according to the archaeologists who found the mummified remains in Argentina in 1999.

The Anambra state government has announced the introduction of a curfew in the state, to help check the spread of COVID19 virus.

The Secretary to Anambra State government, Professor Solo Chukwulobelu, who disclosed this, said the curfew will start from Monday, February 8, and will last from 9pm to 6am daily until further notice.

Chukwulobelu said the state governor, Willie Obiano, has directed that civil servants in the state, from grade level one to twelve should work from home until further notice, with immediate effect.

Professor Chukwulobelu also announced other measures the state government is taking to help stop the spread of Covid-19 in the state.

“The state government has activated and made operational mobile courts to try Covid-19 protocol offenders, beginning from Monday, 8th February 2021.

Also, the state COVID-19 Task Force, including the Ministry of Health, and Ministry of Trade and Commerce have been empowered to increase their hospitals and markets surveillance, and to close immediately any hospital (private and government owned), and markets that do not comply with Covid-19 protocols in their operations”he said.

The viral video is of a Ghanaian ‘man of God’, justifying why he shaves the pubic hair of his female congregants in the church as a direction from God despite criticisms he has faced by doing so.

The pastor whose identity is not yet clear in a video sighted by Gistlobby.com.ng could be seen engaging in the act and with a Junior pastor of his who collected the shaved hair with a napkin during church service.
While in the act, he lamented the backlash a section of the public has subjected him to, saying they call him a fake pastor because they don’t understand the word of God.

The world's richest man, Jeff Bezos will step down as Amazon CEO later this year and transition to the role of executive chair, the company has announced.


According to the February 2 announcement, Bezos will be replaced by Andy Jassy.



Bezos has been Amazon's CEO since its founding in 1995 and grew the company from an online bookseller into a $1.7 trillion global retail and logistics Heavyweight.


His replacement, Jassy has worked for Amazon since 1997 and currently serves as CEO of the company's cloud business, Amazon Web Services..


Bezos said in a letter to employees Tuesday that he is excited to take the next step.


"Being the CEO of Amazon is a deep responsibility, and it's consuming," Bezos wrote.

"When you have a responsibility like that, it's hard to put attention on anything else. As Exec Chair I will stay engaged in important Amazon initiatives but also have the time and energy I need to focus on the Day 1 Fund, the Bezos Earth Fund, Blue Origin, The Washington Post, and my other passions. I've never had more energy, and this isn't about retiring. I'm super passionate about the impact I think these organizations can have."


The news came as part of Amazon's fourth-quarter earnings report.



The company's stock has grown nearly 69% over the past year.

Information reaching the front desk of Gistlobby.com.ng suggests that a 19 year old young lady called Juliet Obu has been brutally murdered by her boyfriend after another guy bought her a new phone.

The victim’s twin sister speaking during an interview disclosed that her sister, Juliet Obu’s boyfriend called Shatta had a disagreement after a different guy bought her a phone, Camon 15.

The boyfriend of the deceased, Shatta who was clearly pissed that his girlfriend had a new phone smashed the phone and promised to buy her a new one.

The police were later informed by close friends who say the guy was in Doryumu today though he stays at Afienya. The said lady was beaten by Shatta (the boyfriend) on Saturday and that led to the whole brouhaha.
