Following a strong bail appeal in High Court on Friday, March 5, Precious Teya, a 26-year-old Zimbabwean woman who was arrested for sleeping with a 13-year-old child, was released on $ 10,000 bail.

Teya was granted bail after initially being refused when she appeared before Harare Provincial Magistrate Vongai Guwuriro on charges of indecent assault.

This came after her solicitor, Moses Nyatsoma, claimed that she was not guilty of the charges because, due to his height and demeanor, she had no way of knowing her alleged victim was 13 years old.

After the prosecution declared that Teya forcibly entered the house and forced the minor to comply with the sexual encounter, Judge Chitapi said;

“The State said that the appellant was forced to enter the house but it is clear that this is not exact because if it is correct, there was no reason for the victim to feed her siblings with sleeping pills.”

The Superior Court judge granted Teya a $ 10,000 bond. She will return to the Court of First Instance on April 21 to be tried.

Wife of Veteran actor and Tinsel’ star, Victor Olaotan has revealed the Turkey hospital treating him have threaten to dump him.

The actor who is popularly known as Big Daddy clocked 69 on Wednesday, February 17 but he is still in a Turkey receiving treatment following the effects of a traumatic brain injury he suffered after a ghastly car accident in October 2016.

Recall that the actor’s wife, Julia has been seeking support for him as well as some of the actor’s colleague and in 2019, Femi Otedola had donated N30m to the actor.

Julia thanked donators but stated she still needs money for her husband’s hospital bills, UgamaTv reports.

She said, “I need all the help I can get. I have been silent but now, I am drowning. Apart from Mr Otedola and a few other people who have supported me, I still need help.

“His monthly expenses are $7,500, excluding the caregiver’s salary and other things like feeding and toiletries. The money for his stem cell procedure is about $150,000.

“He has done the first procedure and he needs to undergo the second one. I want to bring my husband back home. The last time I paid hospital bills was in March 2019.

“He has been receiving treatment without payment but the agency that helped with his medical travelling, Radmed, has been doing so much for us. They have been very humane because most of the hospital bills have been paid by them.

“However, my fear is that if another Nigerian needs the agency’s services, they might be reluctant because of their experience with us. I am just hoping that somebody out there would have compassion. But, I don’t want to appear like an ingrate because Nigerians have given support and everyone has their cross to carry.”

A high court sitting in Port Harcourt has sentenced, Sodeinye Mbatumukeke to death by firing squad for murdering a Jumia delivery agent.

The judgment is coming after about three years of litigation and the court acquitted the second defendant, Divine Naabe as the prosecution team did not provide sufficient evidence to indict him.

The judge ruled that Mbatumukeke would be killed by a Firing Squad after he was found guilty.

However, Sodeinye Mbatumukeke pleaded not guilty to all the allegations leveled against him.

Recall that news about this incident stated that they attacked a Jumia delivery agent, who was to deliver two iPhones to their clients before he was attacked by Sodeinye and his friends.

Sodeinye and his friends beat the Jumia guy to pulp and tried to snatch the iPhones of which they later succeeded after the jumia guy had given up his ghost
