I had to open this account for anonymity
I'm in a dilemma, let me start like this, when i and my husband first got married we did a joint business that fetched us a huge amount of money, the aim was to build a house, when we got the money, he decided to use his' for his parents (i had no problem with that) then mine for what we wanted to use it for

Two weeks ago we had a major misunderstanding, it was soo intense to the extent that he told me to park out of the house, in the heat of things i told him that cannot be possible that the house is in my name, he was shocked, saying it is impossible we built it together that it's in his name, i had to remind him what happened then, he was furious saying it was wrong of me to use my name, that he cant believe he has been staying in a house that does not belong to him, he told his family what i did claming victim, then he packed out saying he wont come home till i change the name to his full name, i begged him to no avail, i dont even know how to tell my people, imagine if it was in his name, i and the kids would have been out of the house by now, he has requested for transfer from his office to another state cos of this, who does that?? He cant expect me to change it to his name.

Pls i need other advise to go about this, he is a good man but he feels his ego has been bruised, i need other options.

MODIFIED For those viewing this, i have made some clarifications down to page (1),
.

If you agree to change the name on the documents for whatever reason, make SURE that you put both of your names on it.
Do not write Mr & Mrs ......., write your full names separately on it or better still, consult a lawyer.

Facilities and expertise required for doing this type of surgeries are available in Nigeria.

They are often performed by maxillofacial surgeons, a specialty under dentistry.

I had the transmission replaced at Ladipo. I bought a tokunbo transmission gear for 180k, labor was 20k, original honda Z1 transmission oil 4,500x5 = 22,500. I also sold my faulty transmission for about 5k or 10k not sure now.

In all, I spent about 230k - 250k. Best part is, till date I have never had any issues with the transmission gear. Money well spent.

Thanks for the update.

With at least 3 - 6 months signed warranty or guarantee.

How much does it cost on the average?

My Acura MDX 2003 has similar issues and I would like to learn from your experience.

Politics / Re: The Cooking Stove Controversy: APC And It's Federated Liars. by Gliding(m): 1:25pm On Jun 03, 2018
naijapips04:
There is a post currently trending on the frontpage of how GEJ scammed Nigeria with a cooking stove scheme that is currently laying waste in the National Stadium.

Before APC whip up another propaganda, here are the facts of the story:

1) The quantity of stoves stipulated to be distributed in the contract was 750,000 as against the 20 million cooking stoves been dangled around by BMC members as evidenced in this post.

2) 700,000 pieces out of the 750,000 pieces of the stoves were actually supplied by the contractor Messrs Integra Renewable Energy Services Limited.

3) only 15% of the contract amount (5.2 billion) was paid to the contractor as mobilization, and it is with this amount that he imported the over 700k stoves.

4) The minister of environment revoked the contract and has refused to pay the contractor the balance of the fees as stipulated in the contract.

5) All this were happening in May ,2015 at the very tail end of GEJ's administration. The project was duly handed over to the new Buhari government who stalled it ( they took 6 months to appoint ministers) and left the stoves rotten away.

You can read the full gist with facts as reported by Daily Trust below:

Don't let APC fool you again with propaganda. Ask them for facts!!

I'm still looking for any proof of your claims. No links , nothing.
Aside from the fact that stoves at a cost of over 5 billion Naira (imported for that matter, thus giving no direct benefit to the Nigerian economy) was poorly conceived and should not have been a priority, I'm yet to see any true benefits of this project

Why did the 24 states failed to pay their workers salaries when GEJ paid all their monthly allocations till the day he left? Remember that 80% of these 24 states were governed then by present day APC stake holders. No state were owed monthly allocation money under GEJ, so why was saint Buhari in a hurry to dish out bailout funds without finding out what the state governors did with their paid allocations? Even after the released of the bailout fund, did the state cleared the backlog? Are they not still owing salaries till date?

Buhari APC is a super scam! He is only competent in blaming game.

Bro, let's cool down.
Nonpayment of salaries was not because monthly allocations to states were withheld. It was because, the allocations dwindled. It was a fraction of what they were getting before then.
And that was because Nigeria was earning a lot less than before.
It's like a person who was making 10 million a month and suddenly begins to make only 5 million monthly. Just imagine how what would happen to his economy

Looting did not start with Jonathan, even from the military era till date, looting is on going, it should not be an excuse for poor performance, as previous administrations performed even as massive lootings were ongoing.
He was very much aware of the decayed nature of the entire system and security architecture and he came and said he's competent enough to do the work, don't forget that he has contested and lost for sometimes so his assumed to have understood his job properly, then he was elected to do this job he has been fighting for all along and allc he could deliver is blame?

Which one did he inherit?
Fastest growing economy or a decayed system.
Both are mutually exclusive

I strongly believe that if PMB decides to prosecute the perpetrators, they would be members of the ousted PDP.
And I know for a fact that people would shout and say he is being partial. I know very well how people said he should leave corruption and face economy. As if the economy can survive in rampant corruption.
IPPIS alone has saved this country billions. Why do you think a govt that is contesting would leave an almost complete project like Abuja Kaduna rail uncompleted. Simply because of the extraordinary looting. What would it have cost to finish it?. The same govt that failed to install cCTV in Abuja (for their own protection oo) despite having released funds for it?

I'm yet to meet anyone who is using this stove, but I have met many people who are on N-power etc.

During the GEJ era, I happen to visit Abuja a dozen times to get part of my money and getting a hotel room in Abuja was insane. From Transcorp to any three stars hotels, everywhere is reserved for VIP. Sirens will be heard everywhere and there was so much stolen money in circulation. Abuja became the circus where money is been tossed around mindlessly. To be candid I hate Buhari because he has stopped that flow of money, and he's pursued all my rich politician clients to I supply for out of the country but the truth that I know deep down is if GEJ had won a 2nd term, most Nigerians will be queuing for bread and beans on the road by now as there was this insane looting. Imagine a former level five project manager in the NDCC buying two houses in Banana Island!!! Imagine a Freshly recruited Navy personally buying a whole building in Gwarimpa and boasting that the oil bunkering militants have made him very rich!!! Imagine a prostitute I used to patronize in Lagos for 5k per night landing in Abuja and getting $1000 for a bj inside an Alhajis keep. I swear no nation can ever continue the way it was under GEJ without been ruined. I just wish this Buhari monkey could fix security. Other than that, he's far better than that mad and crazy fool called Jonathan. Mind you, I became rich under GEJ and currently struggling.

It's good to know that some people can still say the truth no matter how bitter.
PMB has a lot of flaws, but he is far better than the former guy. Although, Some of us benefited from his presidency, deep down we know that he was a big flop.
It saddens me to see people who did not benefit from him being at the forefront of his support team.

The answer to your questions is simple.
1. Buhari is the president for the north. Notice all states he visited so far are northern states. He doesn't give a crap about Southerners but we are fine by it. Who want a terrorist to visit his state?
2. Buhari's foreign diplomacy is firmly rooted in Islam. Which is why he's angering countries like Morocco, USA, Israel because of his wayward hypocritical support for Western Sahara and Palestinians. Morocco now a member of ECOWAS. Nigeria today is a former shadow of herself as far as ECOWAS is concerned.
Even Chad don't have any iota of respect for Nigeria today no thanks to Boko haram and Buhari, who almost invaded chad some years ago in the early 80s. South Africa today view Nigeria with desdain thanks to buhari's huge MTN fine. Ghana too are so far beginning to isolate themselves more ever before thanks to buhari upside foreign policy.

Lagos and Ebonyi among others are Northern states too. Well done!!!

Baba, everyone will bear the consequence of their action, stop making it seem like it's only doctor that can be litigated.

"Spewing nonsense"" I knew you would show your true colors. Most people that don't have facts tend to become abusive.

To reiterate, decisions on patient are taken by the doctor (who is the head of the medical team) and he is responsible for the success or failure recorded.

Someone has to be the head and be held responsible. That's why football coaches are sacked for the team's poor performance. If the head feels someone is misbehaving, he deals with it.

As in ehhh..
I remember the case of an anaethetist technician in a federal hospital who owned a hospital in town. He removed someone's kidney thinking it was an intrabdominal tumour. grin The patient deteriorated and was finally brought to the federal hospital. The mistake was too grievous to behold that an investigation had to be launched immediately on the status of the said hospital in town. I do not know what finally became of the porter but I'm pretty sure he got away easily (Na Nigeria we dey)..
I think ignorance and myopic mindset is also a problem in this country.
I have been addressed a nurse many times in clinic while the male nurse I was working with was referred to as the doctor. It was irritating giving that I had to politely correct almost all the patients that came into that clinic. The male nurse laughed it off as a joke and subconsciously started overdoing what he was supposed to do. This got me thinking, "it's absolutely possible for any man working in the hospital be it a cleaner, porter or ward maid to pose as a doctor in the society to get extra bucks." Many quacks in the community have not passed through the rigorous medical training.

When people decide to implement a rare first world occurrence in a third world country, disaster is always the result.
One advanced country appoints consultant technician, and Nigerian technicians demand same. When did one country become international best practice? Why haven't they imported things like locum lab scientist, automated laboratories (that don't require much personnel) , compulsory vetting of lab results by pathologists etc.

We are really interesting

Really?

When there's litigation, guess who gets hacked. It's always the Doctor, except in rare circumstances.

That is what "owning a patient" means. It refers to taking responsibility, it's not a show of pride

Have you considered how long it takes a pharmacy technician to catch up with a newly employ pharmacist?

Essentially, I think the basis of your argument is flawed. You referred to a newly employed doctor telling a nurse what to do as a demeaning thing. The doctor owns the patient and he is expected to take charge. Telling someone what you want then to do should not be viewed as demeaning.

Perhaps you expect such decisions to be based on negotiations with the other health workers.

Doctors should not be the only ones heading the Units. Why will the doctors be the heads of all Federal Medical centres? You will see a small boy Doctor who left school barely 5 years ago will be controlling a senior matron Nurse who has been working for 30 year with Masters Degree in Nursing. Johesu is right on that! Being a doctor is by choice, many people did not want to be doctors from the outset of their lives, they wants to Medical scientist, pharmacist, Nurse, Radiologist, etc. Must everybody be doctor to head a unit?

Why are we acting like Doctors are super human? they simply chose to be! Others who chose other career have right to rule.

Is that not the same way a Newly graduated nurse directs the cleaners, some of whom are old enough to be her mother?

it becomes a 'battle of words' when pmb continues to ridicule everything previous administrations have done especially when he himself has not achieved anything appreciable.

it is also an issue when pmb's failures are excused while those of previous administrations are constantly blamed.

it is an issue because a number of pmb's supporters forgo all analytical reasoning when it comes to his matter.

for instance, a number of pmb's supporters are quick to tell you that crude oil sold at its highest between 2010 to early 2013. but they don't tell you that as at late 2010-2011, the US which was the biggest importer of Nigerian crude reduced its oil imports from Nigeria by 50%.

as at 2011-2012, Nigeria could not sell over 1m barrels of crude per day. by 2014, US imports had reduced to almost nothing. Nigeria could not export about 60% of its crude oil. it was only in early 2015 that new markets where opened up & the US gradually increased its import of Nigerian crude.

so a lot of people saying GEJ's administration was flush with cash are people who are either willingly mischievous or are not in tune with crude oil trends.

This is exactly what I meant by my post.
You have been able to state your points without being abusive or throwing potentially divisive (either religious or otherwise).
