Pearl1910: Nope, The 6k trip has included the long distance to pickup. If u are close to pickup that will be about N600/km and that's a very good price for the trip. But if u have to go from Oregun/Allen to magodo to pick up d person and come back to Sheraton/GRA thats a very bad decision. that's why u are seeing N250/km. You will also factor the time it will take u to go to pickup and add the time to complete the trip before u analyze ur 6k if it's worth it. When I uploaded the screenshots, the question I asked was if both orders were like 7mins to the PU, which one would be a better trip. The trip can never be up to 600/km. However, if I was close to that trip, I won't think twice before picking it, cos it was a perfect trip for the time and destination area, I don't check naira/km. But the one with higher Naira/km was ignored by everyone - why? I thought the higher the naira/km, the juicer it is. That's by the way. Pearl1910: As per your point that u only consider time and not distance. On a free road u can do Yaba to Sangotedo in 1hr. So tell me will u do this trip for 10k and call it a good decision? 10k for one hour trip is poor, no matter the distance or area. 10k wey I dey get on 40-45 mins trips? 1hr trip should be ringing a minimum of 12.5k on a normal day. If I see 1hr 5mins trip to where I would like to go and is below 13k, that's when I start bidding. Sometimes, I get picked, sometimes, I did not. Pearl1910: That brings me back to d point I am trying to make, u must consider distance and time when accepting a trip, not only time. Cos some locations have free roads and u will speed up. In d process u will burn more fuel so u would make 7k or 10k but u have used 5k fuel. What is now ur gain? That's not how I operate, boss. I know everywhere in this Lagos (all thanks to the hustle 😊). I don't pick trips anyhow, I'm very selective. I know where a trip is going at a glance. So, as time is what I factor, I check distance and area. I sabi this hustle small, baba. Much respect, boss. 🙌 |

Kaymaxi2222: let's assume I am 2km away from the PU, plus the 13km to the destination making it 15km in total that's still 400/km And still better and more profitable than the first one that carries 714/km. All the same sha, God no go shame us. BTW, something has been causing traffic on Ojodu Berger expressway since yesterday, I noticed, you know wetin dey cause am? Much respect, boss. |

Pearl1910: U can't complete that second trip in 20mins Forget what u are seeing on the app. Before u find ur way to Berger from inside magodo phase 1, 10mins would have passed. Are u saying u will now use 10mins from Berger to GRA? For u to know it's not possible , the map is telling u 23mins from Oregun to that Magodo, so how will u use 20mins from Magodo to GRA? Keep using what works for u sha, I can't say u should stop now, but time alone is not the best assessment.
Now going by what u say, u can do Ogudu to VI in less than 30mins also GRA to Surulere will take same time. Are u now saying u will do GRA to VI for the same price of Ogudu to Surulere? Oga mi sir. The point I wanted to establish was not to drag oooh. Na to make some clarification on top this naira/km stuff on indrive. BTW, the second trip you pointed at was actually accurate with the timing. The PU wasn't inside-inside olowora, and the destination wasn't Ikeja GRA, it was Sheraton. Straight driving from PU towards 7up (motorways), straight to Ojota - maryland - MB Anthony, then Sheraton (you don arrive), on a Sunday morning, free road clean. 20mins from the PU to destination was accurate. But that's not the point. The point is on the naira/km on both trips. Much respect, boss. |

Kaymaxi2222: I will pick the 6k of course over the 3.5k if I am close to the PU. The thing is if you are talking about time from phase 1 to yaba is 30mins drive if road is free are you saying you won't pick it if customer put 7k?. Remember I use indrive very well too, for 5k when road is free drivers dey rush am while me I will still be waiting for at least make I see 7k To be sincere, the point I wanted to establish is simple. The 6k trip carries 275/km, you chose it over the 3.5k of 714/km because it's a better trip and obviously more profitable. In essence, having a 270/km trips on your dashboard doesn't mean you're doing wrong trips - you could be making more profit than the 700/km trips. This has been my only stand on this naira/km talks. Naira/km is irrelevant on indrive. What brings better profit is the time and the money. Those big money/km trips are on short-short trips and me I be long trips taker. Short trips are time wasters and you do more work and move around too much. I do trips that by the time I do 4-5 trips, I don dey gross like 40k and above, while short trips takers still pursuing 15k-20k because say na 700/km. Smiles. I'm not antagonizing anyone ooh. But when I see condemnation on small money/km, na where I come in be that. Abi no be this same trips I dey see on indrive? Make everybody dey hustle dey go oooh. Much respect, boss. |

Omoapena: baba, you wan pick indrive request based on the estimated destination time shown on the app?
be like indrive never show you 30mins to destination but on putting destination on Google map, you will see 1hour.
indrive nah for veterans wey don sabi the hustle well, or else, you go dey pick nonsense.
this 2 trip you're using as illustration, I won't even accept any for that price, the 6k isn't good for that 13km distance while the 3500 isn't good for that time. Both trips were on Sunday and roads were totally free. I monitor road conditions regularly and those times were actually accurate. Na the details on both trips I am concerned about, make oga kaymax see. Much respect, boss. |

Kaymaxi2222: you will accept it bro from your past post of your earnings here you will, no be you dey do around 250/km ? When it comes to indrive, naira/km is irrelevant. Make una no dey use that one judge. What counts is time/money. That's how indrive works. Oya, pick one among these two, assuming you're 7mins to the PU and lecture us why you picked it. Pearl1910: There are always more drivers in VI/Lekki so the default fare is always cheaper (Except when there is surge). Same way price goes up when there are few drivers in d area. It was actually ikoyi. Aside that self, it's not supposed to be so, whether plenty drivers dey around or not. The price was too poor and no sensible driver go pick such ride. BTW, she wired me more than I expected. I kept mum and was waiting to see how much she go send and she surprised me. Na chinko, not our people. Much respect, boss.

Indrive is funny. I took a rider now to island for N10.5k @40 mins and the rider wants me to take her back to the PU point. For me to know how much I should charge going back, I quickly checked the return price on the app and it's showing default price of N8.4k @54 mins. This is funny. |

Omoapena: I hate indrive for this nonsense, someone got me annoyed because of this payment delay on Saturday.
After driving 7mins to PU, she wasted my time for 20mins, the only reason why I waited that long was because I've clicked "start ride" unknowingly, I wanted to click "I'm here" but I didn't know indrive have started their nonsense of arriving automatically once you approach PU, I waited for this uncultured girl for 20mins+, came out and she couldn't even apologize, I sha take this girl to her destination, on approaching her destination, I went online on bolt and I immediately got a trip of 15k+ net, I felt so happy seeing good trip, after getting to this girl destination, oya do transfer, this girl wasted my time for another 10mins, gave her moniepoint acc. she said transfer failed, gave her opay, transfer failed again, and I'm getting impatient already coz i don't want that bolt rider to cancel the ride, I just dey murmur say which kind agbako rider be this untop your small money ride.
assuming the bolt rider nah all this impatient rider, I for loose that trip coz of delay from that indrive rider.
the werey rate me 2star come make my rating drop from 5.0 to 4.67 Can you imagine? Anybody wey no get patience for body no fit run this grind. Inside life. |

Who noticed something about indrive riders concerning payment? Before, dem go don ask for your account deets and send money when you're like 5-10 mins away to their destinations. But nowadays, na until when you don carry dem reach the front of their houses (or destination) before dem go start asking for ur account details, thus wasting person time, when it's not bolt. Where are those riders that used to payment before getting to their destinations Where are they? |
