Ajibaiye: Nairalanders, do I need to find my wallet to start ehailing ? Can someone explain this to me too Yes, you must always fund your wallet before you go start taking orders. If your wallet is in zero, or negative balance, you must fund it back. Additionally, city driving means taking orders and driving in the state you are. Much respect, boss. |

ksmart027: But funny enough i have picked many riders with low ratings on bolt and the ride was splendid. Many of them end up tipping me. Don't compare bolt with indrive in this aspect. Maybe na cancelation dey drop some indrive riders' ratings. I will comfortably pick a ride from 2.3 star ⭐ rider on bolt than picking from a 4 star ⭐ rider on indrive. It is well. Much respect, boss. |

I really don't know what's happening to indrive riders' profiles, there are many riders with very low star ⭐ ratings. Profiles with 2 stars and 3 stars just plenty like water, and they are real profiles. To see 4.7 and above stars dey very minimal. What I understand about rider's rating is that you will have low star rating as a result of driver's report (rating) on you - which shows that you were a bad rider. Another thing that affects rider's star is how frequently you use the app to order - this actually isn't a yardstick, though. But to get as low as 2 point Something or 3 point something star mean say you be serious case. And for me, if rider's rating is below 4.5 ⭐, I no dey pick, except say you get plenty trips record under your profile and not below 4.3 star. Omoh, the thing dey somehow. |

Omoapena: during closing hour in the evening when there use to be alot of traffic, I still go to island and I don't experience the traffic, only those who knows road will know what I'm saying.
reason why I avoid mainland trips totally is because of bad roads, is it possible to do a trip of 15k within mainland, any trip within mainland that will cost 15k without surge will definitely take you to outskirts of mainland, and you may find it difficult getting a trip out of that zone.
I prefer taking a trip of 18k to 20k from berger to orchid and look for another from orchid to ikeja for another 15k to 20k.
while I close for the day😁 I'm that lazy now, I don't hustle around anymore. @the bold. Show us the way, boss. |

@tboibamz What you experienced yesterday was needed as a driver, cos it will brush up your calculation to the island. Closing hours for workers are to be avoided if you don't want the traffic jam stress - both on mainland and island. That's why many drivers start working as early as 6am and have a break when it's closing hours (like around 4pm until traffic starts disappearing), then they resume after the road is free. Some don't even mind the traffic, they just wan drive and earn. Some just want to hit their target and close for the day during the traffic period. You don't need to run from going to lekki nah , just make sure say whatever you're doing, escape the entire island before 4pm. That one no mean say the mainland would be free as well. Na only Sundays you fit enter anywhere, anyhow, anytime without the fear of traffic. Additionally, dey always check Google maps to see the areas with traffic (ALWAYS). Bolt drivers no dey fear traffic nah. Na we wey dey use indrive dey calculate like Jamb candidates. Btw, once you don master the hustle, your earnings go increase. Much respect, boss. |

Omoapena: sometimes, this riders dey do like they understand the apps, their oversabi go make them put their pickup location instead of letting the app to detect where they are, probably the person tries to put Novatel but the Novatel pinpoint on the map is in a different location where the exact Novatel is.
also, if their phone is on battery saver or data saver, it tends to affect the accuracy of their phone GPS and this also affects pickup locations.
can't count how many time I have educated riders about this.
I don't know if anyone have come across where someone will order to alaba international market and the pinpoint of Alaba international market on the map will be at surulere, whenever I see that request, it comes with a very ridiculous amount and that's because it's not calculating the real distance to the actual Alaba international market, if a newbie who doesn't know road or new to Lagos accepts such ride and just follow map to the destination which is surulere, the kind fight wey go happen between them ehen.
the hustle requires adequate understanding, if not, you will find yourself arguing with riders. @The bold - we once raised this particular point here and one monicker (can't remember) here was trying to justify the location like say Surulere and Alaba-IM are anywhere close to each other. 😕 Much respect, baba. |

DEGREE2466: You don't seem to understand the issue. The issue here is that the driver has an appointment that is already close so he doesn't want to go far away from the Lagos Mainland local government areas.
But then, he must have seen the location when he picked Exactly. Much respect, baba. |
Business › Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by Glithronix: 11:03am On May 10, 2025 |
DEGREE2466: Mainland local government is Yaba, Iwaya, Makoko, Oyingbo, Ebute Metta, Iddo.
If you get a ride going to Ikeja, you'll first see Ikeja, then the exact location. Same with when you get a ride going to Yaba, you'll first see, Lagos Mainland, then the location The driver no serious. He should have added the local government and start mentioning the locations to the rider nah (shioor). However, generally, once you descend 3mb, you're already on the mainland. Same with when you're going to the island. 3mb is between both lands. It is well. Much respect, baba. |

Lagos is deteriorating (smh). All roads are going from bad to worse. Nothing is seeming to be improving, Traffic management is zero. If dem do one road now, in less than 6 months, you go don dey see contour. See lekki-epe expressway (from phase 1 to Abraham Adesanya to & fro), just to cut it short. Even from Bonny camp to 1st tollgate. See the traffic that has been occurring from the iyana ifako bus stop when you're heading towards ogudu. That one just requires a simple fixing, but they ignore and people been suffering the traffic up till today. Just a simple fixing on that spot that is required. Roads no get street lights. Abeg wetin dem dey develop since? Everything in this Lagos is degrading. These people.... |
