Now, to the main issues; yes , Aba has seen more infrastructural development than Onicha due to Ikpeazu determination to turn the squalor status of Aba. Ikpeazu resurfaced many roads in Aba and cleared multiple waste dumps. Because of this Aba is edging Onicha.

Why wouldn't Aba edge Onicha?
Obiano introduced nepotism into our system, a practice Obi made sure we did away with , so we can concentrate projects where they are needed. Obiano abandoned Onicha and shifted his focus to his region that why Onicha retrogressed.

Neimeth International Pharmaceuticals Plc has disclosed a plan to raise more capital through right issue and private placement to be used for a two-pronged expansion plan, namely the construction of a new plant in Anambra State and a facility upgrade of the Oregun plant.

The company planned to raise about N5 billion through right issues and private placement.

The Rights Issue which will commence on August 3, 2022, will be used to raise the sum of N3,679,618,625 at the cost of N1.55k per 50 Kobo share.
Pharm. Matthew Obi Azoji, Managing Director/CEO, Neimeth speaking to journalists in Lagos disclosed that the Private Placement will commence immediately after the Rights Issue has closed.

“The company is offering 628,753,036 Ordinary Shares to would-be investors at the price of N2.10. This is expected to generate N1, 320,381.375.60 through this channel.
“The money is being raised to fund our strategic expansion plans. Last year, at the 62nd Annual General Meeting of the company, our shareholders approved a two-pronged expansion plan, namely the construction of a new plant in Anambra State and a facility upgrade of the Oregun plant.
“The new plant will be a multi-product facility that will be tailored to comply with the World Health Organization (WHO) current standards of Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) at Amawbia in Anambra State.

Anambra is 10 times more developed than Kaduna, but bad roads sell it out.

I pray Soludo intensifies the Urban renewal effort in Onitsha and Awka with good roads (closed drainage, sidewalks and bicycle lane), this will stand Anambra out. Lagos, Port Harcourt and some other states have stopped constructing roads without sidewalks and open gutters. Anambra must join the queue.

This is why I don't like Obiano's tenure, he littered Anambra's internal roads with open gutters and poorly designed roads.

Anambra is actually the most developed/built-up state in Nigeria after Lagos. Gov just needs to tar it's roads and the citizens can do the rest.\

Soludo needs to intensify PPP to make Anambra great. Anambra is poor for now (state money), so he needs to patner with Private people to do so many things in health, education, estate and also industrialization. Expand Onitsha Harbour and map out new layouts for investors and industrialists to plug and play.

Start planning a highrise around the Niger River in Onitsha. That Iweka Interchange is a landmark, those houses around it are eyesore.

I can't wait to prefer to Stay in Anambra over anywhere else for economic reasons. We will rise.
