No matter your political affiliation, if you genuinely take time to listen to Peter Obi, you will know that the person sitting on the seat of power can take a cue or 2 from him. He talked about removing the corruption aspect first to know the true value of subsidy. Talked about upping local production and proper planning before taking subsidy off and floating Naira. Ive had a tooth removed before so the analogy of removing a tooth without anaesthesia makes alot of sense. Before the tooth was removed I used to experience some short burst of intense pain. Sometimes to the extent of rolling on the floor and crying. But when it was removed, anaesthesia was applied. This made my mouth numb and without feeling. Even the days following the removal, there was no pain just slight discomfort and soreness in my mouth. Same applies to subsidy removal.....With all the pain people are experiencing, they have refused to admit the truth. Tinubu's handling of subsidy removal and fx unification( I.e naira devaluation) were below par and wrongly timed |

sweetgala: 140k listeners tuned in, of a voting population of 90million people. Let us assume some 20% -30% of those individuals are non voting diaspora audience that is not even a fraction amount of the voting population of Nigeria.
The mans reach is not a true reflection of the voting population through Nigeria just some religious and ethnic persuasions.
He should try again in 2027 against an incumbent Tinubu to test his real reach Not really. That space wasnt really publicized early. I personally found out about it on Friday and alot of people also. He garnered that number of listeners within just a few days notice |

slawomir: Damnnn niggar
Why destroying the refineries
Why not make them legal I've always wondered. We've never heard of the fuel they refine spoiling cars so they're good at what they do. Why not fund them and build an intuition for them. Then put an overseeing body to ensure product quality, tax them etc. |

Nonny95: You're a clown.
When Obi was reeling out statistics and how to go about the Subsidy stuff, your Balablue openly said, "Na statistics we go chop"?
Forgetting that Data is life.
Well, this below is one of the ways he would have handled this subsidy stuff.
You don't put the cart before the horse. Thats exactly what your Agbado master did. I sincerely dont know how we got it so wrong as a people.....to think we had such an option and people supported Tinubu because of tribe and personal sentiment.. ......dont know what to say again.... |

Offpointng: Cuz we're tired of having kids with Autism, down syndrome and other associated kids disorders that comes from giving birth at an old age. Y'all should have mercy on innocent kids and take your mind off marriage and child bearing once y'all clock 35 abec Kindly read up on the effects of older men having children. It runs both ways. Just pray to God for the best in marriage. So many people have healthy children in their 40's and even 50's. The goal is to marry well and not come to Nairaland to be seeking for advice every day |

JoshTim: Over the counter FX trading is allowed. A buyer privately contacts a seller via a broker, a sell and buy price is agreed and exchange takes place immediately. This is the only certified exchange.
This therefore eliminates multiple exchange rates. You sound knowledgable but from your write up, it still means there is no fixed exchange rate |
