When Caverton reversed after a day of full bid, that gave me more conviction on what I have been suspecting. Be watchful though, there may be a 20% - 30% swing this month, very likely. Monitor GTB and Zenith, those 2 stocks will tell you when to jump in.

Zenith bank is already showing bullish divergent when you compare price chart and 14days RSI and MACD.

If this is actually true, then Fidelity 1.20-1.30 region awaits thee. Transcorp we understand needed cash for proposed investment in power hence the meagre payout, but people still punished it, but you we are not understanding o.
Anyway opportunity don show for bargain hunters be that. Honestly this year is going to be interesting.

This is infidelity.

Bro it seems they actually replaced an earlier uploaded result. Go back to NSE website and download the current report and review page 2.

I have the two report before me now, the first which I downloaded yesterday read 22k dividend and second 11k dividend.

suooooo.Anyway some dividends will need to take a look the second time before paying........

Yet to see anything

So sorry, my e-dividend account is with Zenith, that is why I most likely got the dividend immediately it was paid.
For other bank, they will get it later today or tommorow.

How far?

I think it's very fantastic. Considering their EPS and other indices. The only problem is that we are in a very interesting time. Things will become clearer once we cross this red sea.

Zenith may get to N30.75 though the fair value is N27.95 after removing fy dividend.

@ 0.23 FY EPS, 3kobo dividend, the fair value for Transcorp is N1.12.
The market may decide otherwise.

Disclosure: I do not hold any unit of Transcorp share.

wink cheesy grin
Realistically, and discounting for risk, Mr TRANSCORP is suppose to be a N3.20 stock !!(at the very least)

We continue to observe.
It is well !!

Transcorp may not go that far, N3.20 is way above its fair value.

In no particular order, the following are my stock pick for medium to long term investment:
1. Nem Insurance;
2. NPF Microfinance Bank;
3. Zenith Bank;
4. Dangsuger;
5. Dangflour;
6. Custodian Insurance;
7. CCNN;
8. Okomu Oil Palm;
9. Honyflour;
10. Caverton.

A lot of factors were consider in arriving at the pick, factor like Earnings (Substainability), CAGR of EPS, IRR, Dividend (stability and growth), etc
Please support or oppose (stone) the motion, so that we will all get better.

Anyone know why Dangote flour invested over N5billion in Motor Vehicles & Truck in 2017?
And what Assets is under construction that they spent over N2.7billion on in 2017?

They implemented IFRS 9 in Q1 2018. It deals with financial instruments. That transaction deals with how impairment is treated under IFRS 9.

Thank you my oga for your response.
But does it mean going forward, company wiĺl quietly write off impairment without it reflecting in the income statement?
Investment / Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by gloriousdawn: 3:40pm On May 16, 2018
Can any Ogas comment on the N138.126billions (i.e about N4.39/Share) that Zenith bank wrote off their Retained Earning in 1st quarter 2018 report, they tagged it "IFRS 9 transfer to loan reserve". You can find this transaction in the "Statements of Changes in Equity".

Sorry for taking us back.

Really ? Cause I still remember what happened to Zenith but if you don’t let me refresh your memory, Zenith was flogged down to 26 even with its super result..

This market got a mind of its own. I’ve learnt to just fold hand look..

I believe you, but one thing is certain, light at the end of the tunnel for a good stock.
No matter the turbulence.

Beta Glass is NOT liquid. Dividend yield is LOW. They are a well managed company and control the bottle/packaging business. The 'Leventis' people are a major shareholder. Not sure I am willing to buy at this price. Those were stocks bought at N5.00!

Return on Net Asset too LOW, less than 3%;
Price per every unit sold is too HIGH, almost twice.
Investment / Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by gloriousdawn: 9:12am On May 07, 2018
Some Metrics for Dangote Flour:
EPS(TTM) N1.80, excluding profit from sale of Noodle unit;
PE 6.33;
RSI(14) <20- oversold;
Price action, Inverted hammer;
Price N11.40

A stock to watch in my opinion.
Investment / Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by gloriousdawn: 2:01pm On May 04, 2018
I like that likely Failure string (rejection at likely support) gradually building up in Dangote Flour.

Gbam !!
...U my dear must be a very sharp fellow.
especially for noticing the parts in bold !!
That was why I asked Sir Wanajo to run thru the entirety of the Statement of Cash Flow and the NOTES to shareholders.
On 5 and 6, imagine after reducing facility borrowing by a whooping approx 18Billion and spending over 6Billion in investing activities, they still maintained a very healthy cash position and an above average increment in retained earnings.
...honestly, I do not know how else one can possibly describe a very competent management if not this way.

On the last part of ur statement in bold, u are also very correct. ...for the 'REVELATIONS' will all come to pass. wink cheesy
Soon, doubters will indeed be made to BELIEVE in the ability of Mr TIME.
...it's only a matter of time.
On DF and DS, we remain unshakable !! wink cheesy

I actually do not like the slow down of DF quarter on quarter.
There was a slow down in Q4 2017, and yet another slow down Q1 2018.

Though Noodle division is no more and did not contribute to Revenue in Q1 2018, Flour division is slowing down.
Some metrics:
Net finance cost, Q1 2018 (N250m), Q1 2017 (N445m);
Gross Margin, Q1 2018 (17.5%), Q1 2017 (23.7%);
Dist. & Admin cost to Revenue, Q1 2018 (9.3%), Q1 2017 (9.6%);
Net Margin, Q1 2018 (6%), Q1 2017 (8.9%).

Going by this Q1 2018 performance, I am projecting a Full year EPS of N1.80 for DF.
Using a PE of 10, which is more like the average PE of the Consumer sector (Food product) of the NSE.
I am looking at a fair value for DF to be N18, an upside of 28%.
A BUY rating.

Please trade cautiously, Election is around the corner.
