Very good piece |
As a strong GEJ supporter, I also think that his media aides and chief strategist goofed. But GEJ himself did not lie to Nigerians. I remember in the last media chat he told the whole world his wife was sick and was taking treatment in Germany. |
But why is Liar muhammed and the ACN goons complaining? They have Tambuwal na. Besides, when did Okupe start talking on behalf of PDP? Lie Muhammed is busy blowing plenty of grammar all in respond to Okupe's comments and making it look like a PDP's position. |
Childish propanda by the opposition to portray the PDP as a party in disarray. Stories such as this can only be found in Premiumtimes, Punch and Nation. What baffles me anyway, is how any poo about GEJ immediately make the front page. |
Tinubu did not want any rival. He plotted to remain the Alpha and Omega of South West politics and decided to gang up with north west against the speakership slot allocated to South West. A friend of mind described that action as the hieght of stupidity. |
Tinubu did not want any rival. He plotted to remain the Alpha and Omega of South West politics and decided to gang up with north west against the speakership slot allocated to South West. Whether that move is stupidity or wisdom, only time will tell. |
It's all politics. No more, no less. |
He said, “Our programme priorities shall be agricultural development, job creation, free education, affordable healthcare, infrastructural development, adequate power supply, eradication of poverty and corruption and rapid technological advancement and industrialisation. Talk, they say is cheap. Why can't the 10 governors do this to their states and show us example? |
Let them do that for their various states first. Not until they become President. |
Hahahahaha . . . but seriously, those "rascals" in ACN and CPC can do it. |
Liars! Is it not too early for APC to start lying? |
@ Abagworo Good. The same conscience that make a harlot jump from one man to another abi? |
Rochas acts before he thinks. See now, his only right hand man in the party, Victor Umeh has been sacked as APGA chairman. |
Watching it right now on AIT. Rochas will definitely regret this wrong hasty move. He should have learnt from Oshiomole. By the way, when did he join APGA that he now plans to hijack the party from Ojukwu's annointed men? Overambition is bad. |
Tinubu should first and foremost explain to Nigerians the source of his wealth. How much was his salary as governor? I think people like him should not be allowed to talk for the new party. It will hurt the party more. Let him just stay at the background. |
Okorocha wants to become President by fire by force. I foresee Oshiomole pulling out of the merger with time. Beside, all other parties did set up merger committees. Where and when was APGA's own merger committee set up? |
BOMBSHELL: APGA DISTANCES SELF FROM MERGER; OKOROCHA IS ON HIS OWN The full Press release: Our attention has been drawn to a press conference by a group of ten (10) Governors, including Owelle Rochas Okorocha of Imo State after meeting in Lagos endorsing a “merger of some opposition Parties in Nigeria”. While we are not against the establishment of a mega opposition party, we believe that the issue of merger of political parties is a very serious matter that needs adequate consultations before a Governor participates and makes public statement. We wish to state after due consultations with most party members, including the following:- 1.His Excellency, Governor Peter Obi, CON- Governor, Anambra State 2.Senator Chris Anyanwu- Senator representing Imo Central 3.Her Excellency, Bianca Ojukwu, Nigerian Ambassador to Spain 4.Hon. Eddie Mbadiwe- APGA Leader, House of Reps (Imo State) 5.Hon. Chris Azubogu – House of Reps member, Anambra State 6.Hon. Emeke Nwogbo – House of Reps Member, Anambra State Hon. Victor Ogene- House of Reps Member, Anambra State 7.Chief Chris Uche – APGA Deputy National Chairman, South- East 8.His Execellency, Odi Nwosu, Nigerian Ambassador to Burundi 9.Ambassador Frank Nchita Ogbuewu- 2011 APGA Governorship Candidate, Ebonyi State and Former Minister of Culture and Tourism 10.Chief Reagam Ufomba – 2011 APGA Governorship Candidate, Abia State 11.Barr. Obiora Obiegue- 2011 APGA Governorship Candidate, Enugu State 12.Prof. Dora Akunyili – 2011 APGA Senatorial Candidate, Anambra Central, Former Minister of Information and Communications, 13.Hon. Chuma Nzeribe – Former House of Reps member, APGA Senatorial Candidate, Anambra South, That we were never invited, consulted or informed about any political parties merger. We wish to make it clear that WE HAVE NOTHING AGAINST THE FORMATION OF ANY MEGA OPPOSITION PARTY, but we categorically state that All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), has never participated in any merger talk with any political party and is therefore not in the merger. We were never consulted by anybody before such statement of our involvement was issued. The National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting of the Party was held in July, 2012 and various stakeholders’ meetings have equally been held in the last one year. In all these meetings, the issue of merger with other political parties was never discussed. For one of our Governors to participate in a meeting where the merger of opposition parties was endorsed is ridiculous and unfortunate. The merger of political parties, where the parties are expected to lose their identities, cannot be an ad hoc arrangement or a decision of one person. According to our constitution, the decision to initiate such discussion is vested in the National Executive Committee (NEC) of the Party and shall be ratified by the National Convention. It is not an executive action, but purely a party matter. Even Section 84(3) of Electoral Act 2010 (as amended), expects that such action must come through a special resolution passed by the National Convention of each of the political parties proposing the merger and the written resolutions of each of these parties communicated to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) through a letter jointly signed by the National Chairman, National Secretary and the National Treasurer of each of the merging parties. For the avoidance of doubt, we wish to reiterate that the issue of merger with other political parties is not on the agenda of All Progressives Grand Alliance APGA for now. Our concern at the moment is to restructure, nurture and build a strong APGA capable of winning elections across the states of Nigeria. Our doors are wide open, and currently there is a mass influx of people into our Party. We call on all party members and the general public to disregard the misleading inclusion of our party in the on-going merger talk of opposition parties. It is not on the agenda of the party for now. APGA!!! Be Your Brother’s Keeper!!! Signed: Dr Tim Menakaya, APGA BOT Member |
The present minister is a silent performer. Abuja is wearing an entirely new look. The 10 lanes Zuba - Kubwa - Asokoro road and another 10 lanes Airport road have been completed and awaiting commissioning. Massive intra-city road construction and residential estates are also being built as well as a network of rail lines connecting different parts of Abuja. El-Rufai did his best too but it was the massive demolision exercise he embarked on that made him always be in the news. He demilished and rendered Karmo, Garki 2, Gwagwa, Idu, Jabi, life Camp etc. |
Unfortunately, threads like this will be ignored by some nairalanders and even the mods. Only negative issues interest nairalanders. |
Rochas is overambitious. The so-called mega party will die naturally like all others before it Imagine a party with the likes of Tinubu, Achike Udenwa etc. The actors are not credible atall. |
When I watched the other video on Youtube, something told me it was scripted - edited especially to suit the interest of certain propaganda machinery. For instance, one young lady with a foreign accent claiming to own four generators all because Power situation according to her is getting worse. And I asked, four generators? Is the situation really that bad? Or does she sell generators? Western Media hardly report anything good about Nigeria - beginning from the military era all through Obasanjo, Y'Adua and now. The pictures of Lagos shown on the video itself is one clear example. It's funny that the same set of nairalanders that nearly crucified Amanpour for describing Lagos (a state ruled by ACN for 14yrs) as the third worst city to live in the world suddenly started celebrating her for a heavily doctored video on the internet. Op this is the link http://edition.cnn.com/video/#/video/world/2013/02/05/orig-open-mic-nigeria-electricity.cnn |
Oga Okupe, even here on nairaland they are many of them noisemakers. |
I agree with Okupe. They are all noise makers - Bakare, Tinubu, Liar M'hmed, El-Rufai, Buhari, Dino Melaye. |
This racist Cameron guy is up to something - perhaps to cut aid to Africa. |
@MODs put the "Hypocricy of Yesterday's men" on homepage too. You guys are gradually killing nairaland with your hypocriy. Remember that nairaland needs a balance of the anti and Pro GEJ to remain exciting. |
Thieves in ACN! |
Keep picking on GEJ while he keeps waxing stronger. Your Buhari talks like a Gorrilla and is not anywhere near GEJ. Besides, the writer's cricisms in point 6, 7 and 8 are just ridiculous. |
@Lekƙie037 You are a typical suffering and smiling kind of guy. |
Very clueless retardeen President! My girlfriend failed to show up. |
I agree with Clark. That forum serves no purpose. |
