Pele boss... this remind me of a ride like that. Got a trip from Surulere going to Lasuth, rush down. A man came to meet me that he is trying to take his aged mother to hospital, I was curious and kind of try to find out her state. He plead and ask me to understand, my conscience won't let me say no to some offers, so I mellow. She can't walk, they carried her, the cloth she was putting on was soaked with... your guess is as good as mine. She can't even talk, they just have to support her. We got to the hospital and there was no space, they first run a quick test to check if they will admit her, family were going up and down; trying to do the test and at the same time register a bed space, while she was inside the car. I didnt even bother, the car sit has been messed already, that means, end of the day. When it all said and done, I gently go to car wash and clean the car.

May God help us and those fighting for a better health. Lot of things humbled me, just live for a purpose, do right and spread love always. From mystery we came, to mystery we shall return.
God bless you Pope, a day will come when you are in need and God will reward you handsomely, May we never lose our humanity

Bro you still don't get my point... I've seen people who their only hustle is to gamble and they built houses with it or even got some property through gambling yet they still loose it through same gambling.

Okay let me share a gist... My Abia state babe who used to work with a bet company in Aba years back gisted me how his CEO boss gave thanks giving in church on hiw God saved him from a game a client brought to him with his land property and 3 story building just to play a game of 1million. The god that saved this CEO was telling this man he doesn't have up to such amount on his account he then directed the client to another person.

That game played with an outcome of 9ver 150m... The other man That accepted the house document and landed property is still in debt till today.

I've seen people uae their wife t9 gamble b4 bros... No jokes cool
Which kind fables be this Kai Felicity, N150m and person use his wife, Hehehehehe

In that case did you bought from him after wards, how long did you petronized him before you noticed the cracking sound on your engine? If it's more than twice or thrice then I don't think he deserves a second chance and you also need to tell us if after you called his attention to it weather you still bought oil from him/her and the difference you saw.

For you to have recommended 20W50 from Mobil filling stations and then GAZZUZZ for synthetic it therefore means you've given up faith on all of these so call importers of motor oil due to your unfortunate experience and have stopped doing business with the fake oil importer.

One thing we all should know is this, that a product is from the USA, UK or any other reputable overseas countries doesn't make it genuine or authentic o same way we have fake in Nigeria is same way we also have fake products over there the only thing is theirs is minimal.

Going forward I still think you should mention that person let him come up and clear his name so it can serve as a lesson to anyone who thinks they can get rich quick by doing shady business or go scout free on every wrong doing but if you shade the person its therefore means you're supporting evil and keeping a blind eyes while seeing innocent people falling into a dish.

Chillex8 at some point called out dru23 for selling Castro to him that dried up after few days, many times here dru23 has also not failed to call out drivers who in the end we have seen are innocent so bro call that person out lets here from him.

Bro no be say dem dey use greetings do anything after all salutations they say isn't love, but we shouldn't always be behaving anyhow all the time nau.
Like seriously, someone that you haven't met before nor talked with before will just call you and start asking 'where are you?'
What happened to telling the driver you made a request and got him?
Even if you don't want to greet him at least he would know it's the rider talking to him.

There was a day I got a request and call came in almost immediately I thought it was the rider the usual me that wouldn't want to start entertaining the 'where are you' question quickly told the rider where I am and that I am driving to pick up point, the person was confused.
It now dawned on me that I am talking to another person that doesn't even know anything about bolt, I felt embarrassed at the same time.
So like Felicity is saying it won't take anything from you if you greet and let the driver know you're the one he's coming to pick, even if you don't have airtime use the bolt call feature.
Let's stop justifying rubbish it's taking us nowhere
Nobody greets me in London o, they just go to the point. that’s all
Greeting ko, Greeting ni.
Concentrate on the fundamentals my Brother. Money in your account feeding your family.

Are we still talking about Magodo Brooks or we are now generalizing to all streets with gate that leads to another main road? Let's remain within the armbits of this subject so we don't get distracted, make a mountain out of a molehill and miss d point. Magodo Brooks is definitely a private estate. Just like VGC and other enclosed, reclaimed lands that leads no where and where previously valleys, swamps, forests, etc.

U see, d problem is we don't understand the rule of law anymore because actions of our leaders and politicians has bastardized our thinking, our mentality and our personalities and we don't want to know our rights by learning.

Police commissioner does not have right to anywhere even on official duty without permission by the court. (Except for national security and terrorism). So ur thinking that because he is commissioner of Police he has right of access anywhere he goes is skewed.

In this case he wasn't on official duty, he
came for a social visit, he wasn't refused access, he was just to wait for access. It's d delay that made him angry and for him to show he has power. And this delay may have been just 1 or 2minutes. Cos we know how they behave in traffic. He got angry cos it was not express entry.
Nothing more, nothing less.
My Brother your argument is to simplistic, a Police officer has the right to enter any Estate, anytime, any day whether off or on duty, a policeman is on duty at all times.
What they need a warrant for is to enter a persons private residence

The Caliber that can invite a Commissioner of Police to his party and he will honor the invitation.

But my point is, everybody should be subjected to same protocols. It's only in Nigeria that politicians and government officials will jump queues, expect preferential treatment, etc when indeed they are servants placed in leadership positions, and as leaders should show good example. That "I be big man" mentality is what I hate...whoever you are, u
can do your kingship inside your kingdom. As far as a anywhere is concerned, lawful rules has to be followed by all except the king. The only kings in Lagos are d Governor and the President. It is this law-bending that has corrupted our society to a state of decadence. See us here now defending the commissioner against poor innocent guys doing their jobs.
They were doing their jobs for Christ sake...what if the police were there to arrest someone illegally without warrant like they always do?
What if they were gatecrashing a party without invite?
They had to get clearance. If that took too long that's probably not on them and definitely not a reason to be thrown inside cell.
Let's have some dignity and respect for other humans especially those we perceive not to be in our level. This is not a case of disrespect for elders.
You guys get liver o, nobody can stop a CP in London for whatever reasons, firstly b4 you even build a gate post you need to contact the local government, fire brigade and the police for health and safety reasons like an emergency,I e Ambulance or armed robbery,
All protocol has to be cross checked with the police.
Also all security companies are licensed by the CP’s office, in the U.K. the security company would have lost their license

I love this analysis. Though, according to your expression, you were surprised at the experience and wasn't pleasurable, but I learned some useful things here.

But if one would consider health as you said, I think working for the long period of time you worked, one can adopt the one-day-on and one-day-off system. This would allow the body system to balance, not to break down, and the health of the car, too. And
considering your net profit, if it's one day on - one day off, a guy man is making a profit of over 90k in a week (that's over 360k in a month).
This, I think, should be the best.
Gurus in the house can educate us on this.

Work everyday 8hrs and go to the GYM 3/4 times a week you will be okay health wise.

Courtesy demands you open a formal conversation with a salutation, the question "where are you as a means of opening a conversation without any form of salutation or something like "hi", hey" "whatsup" is rude and passes a wrong notion to the receiver at the other end.

We as Nigerians need to start remodel and restructure and renew our minds and attitudes towards people and everything if not I see no future for thus country.

Good for you. Back here in Lagos, there is no Uber driver that can save 2M naira within two months. That's an overkill. That's like 250k savings weekly grin.
For me, slow and steady wins it. A target you didn't get in the first 10 months of the year, (doing 50k weekly, which is quite achievable), you then plan to achieve same in just 2 months. It's a recipe for disaster.

£150,000 is more than a hundred million Naira. That's a lot of investable funds that can be well utilized. Uber should not even cross your mind at this point. By the time you purchase 10-15 cars for ehailing two third of your hard earned savings is gone for sure. With this type of money, one should be thinking of a business with a proper stay, a name and a face to it not ehailing that will distract you, big time. Except you want to do freebies with your hard earned money
Uber should be a means to an end, It should be dropped at some point. Either as a driver or a fleet owner, none comes easy in terms of management from a Nigerian perspective. It's not worth it.
Do you have any good business ideas, I’ll love to hear them, Nigeria is one kind country, has both negative and positives

That side you are, there are limitless opportunities to explore, and uber pays very well, so you can make a target and are sure to meet and exceed it.
The market climate here has changed drastically, ember months are cash cows and used to be very lucrative as everyone prepares themselves towards it, but we're in October and still looking forward to the ember months. Be like say we don use ember months for May-July like dis sef.
Be patient Bruv, it will surely come, not all days sweet with UBER/BOLT you know the score now, you win some /lose some but on the average you will meet your target, if you put in the hours and position your self wisely

No lies.

I was in an Uber and the pilot mentioned he makes a 200k net monthly. Same man was on a 75k job with hard labor previously.

If Uber were that so ‘bad’, some of our people would have quit but no.
Finally you guys who used to be embarrassed being a UBER driver are now seeing the benefit that E-hailing has been to a lot of us, I used to work in a nice office in London b4 as an Estate manager also wearing shirt and tie myself. earning about £650 per week, it’s not until l joined E-hailing Uber and l started making £1250 did my finances balance.
Nowadays I just target a £1000 a week which is very fine and not to hectic, the plan is to relocate bck to Nigeria.
Anyway folks, we are getting to the end of the year and if you all start from this wknd, l will like to encourage you guys to put your backs into driving, so that by the 31st of December, you should all make 2.5m with 2m to invest,
With a 2m investment and properly you should be making abt N150k monthly.
Wishing you guys all the best, my own target is to make £15k with £11k to invest, I will be working 7days a wk btw 10/12hrs every day till the 1st of January then spend 5months in Nigeria.
All the best guys, Felicity no slacking o, no discouraging, l knw you very well,

I'll keep representing the drivers on this platform any day anytime.

Rental should not exceed 30k and owner is responsible to do all maintenance 100%, Bleep that shit of driver should take care of minor repairs below 10k, breakpad, hub, breakdisc, touch light, headlight, accident bla bla... All of those things are scam... Deposit money b4 getting a car... You're a scammer! Yahoo partner that's what you're.

Ask for guarantors, DL, evidence of ehailing app, rental agreement papers as signed by both parties... Hand over keys and lets move.

As an investor in any business you need a minimum of 5yrs to break even.

If you invest take for instance 2.5m.

Annually if you know your onion well you can pocket N1m after maintenance and miscellaneous, b4 3yrs you've breakeven then the remaining 2yrs can be use for profit making which in turn will buy you another car.

Look at yommie007 he made additional profit from selling an accidental car he used for 3good yrs, so why they rush to break even in 6months or 1yr? because only one man has been posting unrealistic and questionable dashboard of audio 200k weekly? So you'll now believe every other driver makes that much? Isnt that greed?

A number of people mentioned and disagreed with my opinion on what the ideal rental rate should be and the nature of the arrangement between the driver and his partner, I enjoyed reading them and have respect for their opinion even if I dont agree with all they said.

Then there is you felicity, who in your normal abnormal self quoted me and spewed thrash.

I have read through many of the things you openly owned up to doing, from dropping people on 3rd mainland bridge at night, to driving your partner's car to the edo state, having frequent issues with lastma, police, frsc, lawma, ferma, to hopping from partner to partner......many here may not have the courage to let you know these are disturbing behaviour for a normal person saddled with conveying others safely to their destination.

At best, your behaviour is probably more suited for agbero or danfo driving than ehailing., at worst you have an emerging psychological issue.

Its better you respect your old age and not quote me again.
Thanks for speaking out Bruv, Felicity represents all that is wrong in Nigeria and is a bad e-hailing driver, l dont know his town or village but he needs prayer,

Now, look at my earning for the whole of last month. Lets round it up to 300k for both offline and indriver which I dont do much. Offline I also dont do much again because of bonuses.

Now, assume rental to be 25k/week... Which is 100k/month.
I buy fuel 4k daily... 26days it 104k/month but let's leave it at 100k/month.
Let's forget minor money's I give as sara, police and others.

300k-100k-100= 100k

So can you see? 100k for 13hrs on the d road daily for 25/26 days... Mind you this money is not even guaranteed because there're lot of factors that can take 50% or 75% away in just ine day.

No health insurance from my partner
No pension
No leave allowances
To housing allowances
No feeding allowance
No transportation allowance (I've to pay for a cap to take my family out or go offline to do that)
No live insurance
No harverd allowance from partner.

All the partners I've had ever since I know how much of my money entered their car for maintenance so forget all those 100% maintenance... Audio ni

If I've to pay you 30k how much will be left for me? To foot my bill? All in the name that you bought a tokunbo car of 1.8ltr engine my ass that still belongs to you even after 3 or 4yrs? Guy are you kidding me?

Listen business is patient and for you to break even it has to take a minimum of 5yrs so where are you guys getting the notion of 2yrs?? Aren't you a highway robberhuh

Come of it pls... Its because it's your car that's why you see it that way. Don't compare Mr. A with Mr. B they don't have the same strenght, tenacity, endurance and tolerance. My ideology is different from yours.

I can rent Your car and decide to park it in my garage and pay you at the end of every week from proceeds from my other business... I've done this b4 for like 3months erratically with the civic... Anyone could tell from the millage. Why? because I needed to be mobile for personal and business purposes so why tell me pay 30/40k, for what??

Guy if you need that lets sigh a hp agreement. So car owners should stop having the mentality of entitlement or thinking you're doing yje driver a favour ok. Its business. If it doesn't favour you sell the car and look for other things to do.

25k/30k is okay for rental any body not okay with that should hit the road and see how difficult it is to be faithful with even 25k for straight 3months first b4 thinking of 30k.
Very nonsensical argument.
