JOB SCAM
Hello fellow nairalanders. Lets all please beware of unknown persons who call us to give us job without us even seeing or meeting them or even meeting the person tthey direct us to through phone call.
Here is what i witnessed this morning at a barbing saloon, where i went to cut my hair this morning here in benin city.
When I entered the store I saw the barber receiving phone call. I didnt really pay attention to the call because what was on my mind was my hair cut. Before I realise, I heard the barber saying “yes sir” thank you sir”. The guy droped the call and went outside to buy card then callled a number which the first caller gave him. The receiver of the second call was a lady, all I heard from the barber was N15000, NPDC, FORM, N80000. To cut the whole story short, it was a job scam.
The first caller told the barber that he his DR Tony from Living faith Aka winners and he mentioned the barber full names and that the barber told him sometime ago he was looking for a job. and right now there is a vacant position at NPDC along sapele road by adesuwa road, benin city but currently he is not in Benin and that what will happen, he will give him the number of a lady who works at the same NPDC to call her and let her know that its Dr Tony who directed him ( the barber ).
When the barber called the woman, she told him that the person occupying the vacant position which Dr Tony told him about, has traveled abroad for further studies and that currently someone one is on his way from enugu to replace that position but she and others in the office don”t want the person coming from enugu to occupy the position. So the lady said, that the barber should immediately make a payment of 15k to an account before his cv willl be collected. The barber told the lady that he don’t have such money and that since she is in benin and the NPDC is in benin too, let him (the barber) come to her office and meet her one on one. The lady said no, that she is busy and can’t see him. The barber ended the call.
The barber called Dr Tony back, letting him know of what the lady has said, Dr Tony now said he (Tony ) is not in Benin. Dr Tony told the barber to make the payment and do what the lady just said. Before the end of the call, Dr tony who wants to link someone to a job asked the barber to send him mtn recharge card of 400 naira.
It was a pure Job scam.
Please fellow nairalanders, never send money to anyone for a job, do it on one condition, if the person allows you to meet him or her one on one or you can negotiate with the person to collect half or full pay of your first salary. This is 2016, be wise in the job hunting.

A petrol tanker caught fire today at Oando filling station along sapele just before kada plaza. the fire, it was learnt was caused by an iron object which fell down close to the tanker which was parked inside the filing station. I immediately, the driver of the tanker drove out from the filling station a and got stock on the road and that was the whole story of the tanker. A source said that the driver was burnt and he was immediatelly rushed to an undesclosed hospital for treatment. May he survive to tell the story of what actually transpired...

Hello fellow nairalanders. how are you all doing today?. Hope kool. i have been a fan of this site for quite a long time. i do visit this site. read updates, comments and many other stuffs. what amaze me most is those graduate who are making post of what the future holds for them e.g life after service, no job. what will i do and many other stuffs. i see fear in them and not knowing their potential and worth. you are a graduate for God sake with a bright future except you don't know yourself. stop making demoralizing post because so many young undergraduates are wishing to be like you. i know the country is hard, but don,t be descouraged. i am a fellow graduate like you who willl be serving next year. i see a brighter future for all my fellow graduates except you don't have a plan B when then right work is not coming on time. my advice to all those still in school, start getting your plan B prepared becuase you might find yourself in a work environment quite different from what you studied at school. Equip yourself with skills that can fetch you something...

for students living in hostel where there are so many student, school hostel per say, you can start a printing business and online registration. alll you just need is your laptop, a three in one printer and knowlegde of word processing and other packages like autocad and corel draw.you print their assignment and even practicals directly from their flash and computer. its a very lucrative business and before you finish the school, you will get your laptop money and printer money times 7 if not more.. but this business requires friendlyness and popularity in campus and hostel at large....

i am about to delete my music folder off my laptop and phone. this folder consist of hiphop music from the likes of davido, wizkid, olamide, etc is it a sin to keep these music and listen to them. reasonable comments please

i have visited several pulling centres in delta state, the card readers brought to the centres not all are working.... some are not working at all... is this a problem from the manufacturer or it was delibrate so that a particaular party will win..... here in my centre, they have resulted into manual verification.. did the card brought to your pullling centre worked welll?

nothing wrog with use a spy camera in monitoring the election.... after all we are in a technologycal age where even your brain can not remember everything...

my guy our police men are not welll equipetd with weapons to stand them.. before a police man go out to patrol, the number of bulllet given to him is counted and if he does not return with the exact value of bullet given to him, he is in soup.. do you now want to compare him to thse rubbers that shooot sporadicallly without considering what they have left....
