If this is true (because one cannot be too careful of news in recent times), it has no name than mutiny! Indiscipline! This letter shouldn't have been made public. |
APC are sore losers! They should leave the man. You win some, you lose some. |
Walspring:Amen. |
Smoking is injurious to your health yet people smoke. Naturally, humans are daring. |
Brevity is the definition of life. I wish you well, Mr. Goodluck. You did well. #GEJITE . #WeTriumphStill Now is the time to see what Mr. Buhari will offer us. We won't spare the rod if he messes up. We promise you that. We will ask questions. Their dogs will bark, but we won't be bothered for all we want is for them to be accountable. |
Also shortsighted. I tried doing without my glasses most times only to fall back to them. Sad. But we have to live with it. |
Jesus is THE way. |
olatunji390:Cheap. Things in the North are usually cheap. |
olatunji390:One's purse and taste will determine this. Two friends got a 2-bedroom flat at 200k. I got a self-contained room for 60k. I have friends who got better deal less. Please note that this house issue is applicable to Lafia alone. House in Keffi and co is costlier than that in Lafia. |
olatunji390:JUST 5k. It used to be 2k before Ta'al increased it. |
Stamford007:You are welcome, sir. MTN and GLO are very good in camp. I think there is an MTN mast on the parade ground sef. Electricity. Well, I'm from the SW and I can tell you that they have the best power supply in the North. Cost of living. I served in Lafia and that is the cheapest place I have ever lived. Social life. Lafia is boring. Keffi (where the camp is) and Maraba axis is where it happens. However, even if you are going to be posted to Lafia, you won't be alone. I have friends that really rocked Lafia. With the help of friends, no dull moment. But please, don't compare the state to wherever you are coming from. After all, service year is just 11 months. |
DivaQC:You are welcome. Please, don't be down. Before NYSC, I only knew like 4 of the SW states but after service year, I think I have been to almost half of all the states in Nigeria. I went to Nasarawa without knowing anyone! Never been to Abuja before not to talk of Nasarawa. The camp should have been the best in Nigeria but you know we suck at maintenance. Even at that, you would love it! Honestly, if I could serve in Nasarawa through the help of God, anyone can! |
Dear Friends, Congratulations on your successful posting. This is a very critical phase of your academic journey and transition into what really lies ahead. Remember, you only serve once. Do it wholeheartedly and nobly. Be proud of the feat while discharging your duties humbly. Nasarawa State! It's indeed a very beautiful state. Not beautiful in terms of structure, but in people. I served there and honestly, I would do it over again if I could serve twice. See, do not force yourself to stay in the state if you have something worthwhile doing where you are. If your spirit is not staying, you can start your redeployment plan while in camp. I should let you know of the heat sha. O le ju! On the other hand, if you want to impact life positively while investing in yourself and planning for what lies ahead, stay! I served in Nasarawa State because I believed so much in God's plan! Behold, since my first day in camp, it was fun all the way, d.ope! By the way, my state code was 0004! You guys are not unfortunate! You are very lucky. Most of us got angry when we saw our posting but to the Glory of God, none of my friends I talked to told me they regret serving there! I was a platoon leader. I played football and joined OBS! All these gave me some kind of influence in camp. Meanwhile, you shouldn't be a platoon leader if you want to enjoy camp! You might not have time for 'frivolities'. Friends, forget about what you might have heard about the state and the North. Basically, Nasarawa is not a typical Hausa state. In fact, the Hausa population there is small. It is a state with some other ethnic groups. The Eggon being the most populous of those. However, Hausa is 'the language' almost everyone uses. Don't let me bore you with stories. If you feel you need to know anything about the state, let me know. If I know, I would be willing to help. For me and my friends, we balled in Nasarawa State. You guys should get set and go explore the beautiful Nigeria! |
Hahaha. Yokiti my Oga! No problem, sir. God help me. Whoever has question(s) should just mention me. I would be glad to help. |
Let her go. Obviously, you guys are not on the same wavelength. Wait brother, you must be kidding right? At 24, still on your Bachelors and thinking of marriage in 3 years? A bit unrealistic. For her, these are the likely odds: 1. She is probably not willing to wait that long. 2. She is probably a nymphomaniac. 3. You are not showing her enough reasons to wait. Above all, I feel you should let her go. As it's, inferring from your post, she isn't ready to buy your idea of no-sex. And here you are, you are not ready to bend - that which I appreciate. See, do not listen to folks mocking your inability to 'shine her kongo' as expected. It's your life. If you are sure you haven't done anything bad, let her go - I can't emphasize this enough. One of the hallmarks of a man is his ability to know when to walk away! What will miss you will not meet you and what will meet you will not miss you. |
yokiti:Oga mi, I have been doing great. #Life is happening but God has been great. Ms Fragrant, I am not sure about how much doctors earn. However, my friend who is a nurse and served in the State Polytechnic with me earned 40k monthly. Usually, they pay doctors awesomely in the North. |
Psalms 94:8 Understand, ye brutish among the people: and ye fools, when will ye be wise? |
creamynuela88:Think before you write. Can't you see the 1965 written as PEJ's DOB? I dey tell you say PEJ's DOB na 1957 just like that of her husband you dey talk glasses. Are you even aware PEJ is older than GEJ? What are you now saying, sir/ma? |
PEJ was born on October 25, 1957. She is older than GEJ. I smell foul play with her PVC. Perhaps, it could be a photoshoped PVC. |
sirRiddy:Boss, you just have to be professional with it. The idea is that you should emphasize what the fund/grant can do to advancing your quest for excellence while at the same time foregrounding your qualities and qualifications that make you feel you should be considered for the fund. Be polite and never sound desperate. Professionalism matters. The only sure easy I have written that is similar to this na my Fulbright application essay. Na mystiqme, slimmy05, ebdib, msnas and biggie sure pass on this. |
ebdib:Truly, the reality of our nation has made us over-sensitive to 'inconsequential' things. But abeg o, aye wa o. ![]() Brother, we are sons and daughters of different worlds. Our backgrounds differ. Not everyone will subscribe to a spill-it-all view, you know? And that is exactly my point. How your side na? |
zeezahbee:I no dey hide anything na. Those who asked know. How far I have gone? On course. Sure you are doing great. |
ferdimako:Oga ferdimako, you are cracking me up o. ![]() |
zeezahbee:Zeee, haba. I don't know why people hide the name of their school sha. But that shouldn't give us the licence to think they do not belong here.I am aware of the fact that hiding helpful info here could be annoying but we should NEVER see that as selfishness or immaturity on the part of the applicant involved. See, the beauty of our world lies in the diversity of our view of things. Let's learn to respect ourselves. The gentleman has a right to his choice. If he wants us to know the school, fine; otherwise, we wish him well, it won't affect the price of garri. Respecting ourselves is important. Follow peace with all men. |
osahons9:Hehehehe. Regbo, regbo. That language dey sweet me gan whenever dem dey talk am o. Choi, now I dey miss my padis. ![]() |
STENON:Of course I do. Don't worry, you will be fine. My thoughts and prayers are with you. If not that I wouldn't want to glorify 'busy' , I would have said I'm too. Wish you well. And don't hesitate to reach me if there is any need to do so. Have a great day. |
osahons9:Yes na. I have got some wonderful Edo guys as friends. |
osahons9:Good Oria! I am doing great. Thank you for checking, baba. How that end been dey go? |
STENON:Well, you need not really worry about your accent. Your interviewers are conscious of the fact that you are a user of English as a foreign language. They are not expecting you to Americanize yourself, magically. The most important thing is for you to adequately prepare for your interview, be audible and make sure you communicate your points brilliantly. Avoid unnecessary pauses, Nigerian fillers and be confident. If you can work on these, you are fine. You need no accent reduction class. I wish you well. |
slimmy05:I'm telling you. Na my target be dt o. |
