The same arrogance that brought PDP to its knees. I'm glad APC is on that path already. Shows their end is nigh.

Did you read my comment properly?

International APPLICANTS cannot apply for that MS Finance program!

It is only open to undergraduates at UW-Madison which may be international or local students.
But for someone in Nigeria or anywhere else in the world applying for MS Finance at UW-Madison, is not possible.

See attached image
Nawao
Oh, got you, bro. My bad. Was confusing your use of "international applicants" with "international students".

This is my propose transcript.
Guys please tell me where I need to improve

WHY ARE YOU GOING TO THE U.S ?
I am going to the U.S to pursue a bachelors degree in supply chain management at southern Arkansas university magnolia.

WHEN DID YOU FINISH HIGH SCHOOL
2011

WHAT HAVE YOU BEEN DOING
After my high school in 2011, I did a one year program in computer studies and after that I went for my national diploma and in 2015 I did a one year industrial attachment at xxxxx company where I was luckily retained.

SO WHY ARE YOU JUST GOING FOR YOUR BACHELORS DEGREE
I discussed with my boss 3years ago about my career plans which I considered to be 3-4-4. That is 3years with them, then proceed for 4years bachelors degree, then come back for another 4years before going for my Masters degree.

TELL ME YOUR STUDY PLAN
I will be taking 120 hours of credit course over the period of 48month which some of the courses I will be taking includes: leadership ethics, human resources management, entrepreneurship, supply chain management, total quality management and so on.

TELL ME ABOUT YOUR SCHOOL
Southern Arkansas university is a public institution located in magnolia, Arkansas. Situated less than 20miles north of the Louisiana state line. It was founded in 1909 and it utilizes a semester based academic calendar. It as a 17:1 student to instructor ratio.

HOW MANY SCHOOL DID YOU APPLY TO
4. Penn state uni, Michigan state uni, uni of Houston Victoria and southern Arkansas uni.

HOW MANY ADMIT
2. SAU and University of Houston Victoria.

SO WHY SAU
I chosed this school because it has a corporative and experiental educational program which integrates classroom experience into real life world connecting me with the experts in my field of study and also it has a structured curriculum which aligns with my career aspiration with the aim of developing me with the technical, analytical and concepted skills to become a globally attuned leader in my profession

WHAT WILL THIS COURSE DO FOR YOU
It will better equip me with the requisite technical expertise coupled with the experience and expertise that would prepare me for a leadership role at my place of work when am back to Nigeria. Also a degree in supply chain management is in high demand. A lot of companies here outsource this skill because it's professional expertise and skill supply is still very low. I intend to learn this skill using global best practise that can be modelled for use here.

HOW DID YOU KNOW ABOUT THIS SCHOOL
Even though SAU was recommended to me by my boss. I did an extensive research online for schools offering supply chain management. I narrowed down my s

HOW DID YOU HEAR ABOUT THIS COURSE
My current line manager told me how taking a course in supply chain management was very instrumental to his career growth and I also aspire to become a supply chain manger in the nearest future.

That doesn't sound convincing, to me, sir. You mean if someone else at the said place of work had told you that a certain program wqs instrumental to his/her growth, you would consider such program? Why not talk about the things you love doing that is related to your proposed program and how you want to gain a more nuanced understanding of that thing or field?

Plus, you should be weary of these proposed responses. Don't be mechanical in front of the VO, just flow. smiley

Chidinho10:
It is very important for you to read instructions before choosing schools to apply. UW-Madison's MS Finance is just like a 5th year program for their undergraduates. They take courses in their fourth years (final year of undergraduate), do a summer internship and then complete the coursework in their 5th year. A lot of schools do such and I remember one of the Texas schools having such a platform. The program is not open to international applicants or even applicants from other universities.

Thank you
You are joking right? cheesy Bro, I school in UW-Madison. I am still not sure that an international student cannot get admitted into the MS Finance track. Come on! There are many international students who got admitted into the program after one or two semesters of their undergrad career. That international student are barred from the program is a bit ridiculous. smiley

Chidinho10:
You're correct!
However, the MS Finance for UW-Madison is meant for their undergraduates. International students cannot apply.
Oh, I see. But I doubt the fact that international students cannot apply [of course, I could be wrong.]. While it's true that it's not a stand-alone MSc, prospective international undergrad students can still apply. There are no programs in UW-Madison that a certain category of students cannot apply to. Tittle 9, bro. smiley

Now, I told you to send me list of MS Finance programs you saw and I'm sad you just provided list of universities with some of them not having MS Finance programs. It will be great if you do things in a nice way so that you can get the best form of assistance you need. Let's look at the schools you listed.

University of Wisconsin : There are several Universities of Wisconsins. Specify the one you mean.

As I said earlier, you should have an idea of what jobs you want after graduation and where you want to work before choosing an MS Finance program. All programs have their area of specialty and how they place their students. Having an idea of that will help you in selecting schools that meet your needs.

Also, I should point out that most top MS Finance programs do not provide full financial aid especially those target schools with excellent placements on the Street. So if that is a priority, you should also consider that while making your choice of schools.

Forgive my typos. I wrote this in haste.
True, bro. You are right. However, when a state operates a University System, the location of the most prominent university is often not included. Just like the University of Maryland, College Park is often referred to as the University of Maryland. So, by University of Wisconsin, assume that the guy meant UW-Madison.

NB: And if the guy was referring to UW-Madison, the school has MSc in Finance.

This reminded me of a friend in Ife. Every student of OAU is expected to have 12 special elective credits before graduation. I should add, special electives are just courses you have to pass. They have nothing to do with your CGPA.

So, my friend didn't have up to 12 credits. I think he had 10 or so. His adviser felt he should not be delayed because of it, having spent almost 6 years in school already. The adviser waived the requirement! We were happy.

Na so my friend change his status on BBM o. His colleagues on BBM saw it and bombarded the adviser with waiver requests. The adviser rescinded the waiver. My friend had an extra year! Because of 2 credits of special elective!

If you know any one from OAU, they will tell you how ridiculous that sounds. Lesson: If your yams are fat, don't eat them in public. I hope this guy gets to keep the job for a long time.

You need to leave Nigeria (if you haven't) to see the awesome things Nigerians are doing. The CV of this woman will look like a blurb when placed side-by-side with that of certain Nigerians.

It doesn't really matter. Some of my friends who made 2:2 are in the U.S. doing their MSc for free. It all boils down to what you want to do with your life and how willing you are to go for it. In any case, if I were you, I would go for a masters.

Why is it that Muslims can comment on supposed Christian post while Christians can't comment on any post about Allah or Muslimhuh
Because followers of Christ are love beings. We are instructed to count everything all joy. We are commanded to pray for those who afflict us. Not sure Islam permits that. If you say anything derogatory about prophet Muhammad, you may lose your life.

So to answer your question: Because we are tolerant. In our tolerance, we edify Christ.

Foreign AffairsRe: Ellen Johnson Sirleaf Wins $5 Million Mo Ibrahim Prize For African Leadership by godG: 5:08pm On Feb 12, 2018
This is annoying though. While I am not in any way downplaying how smart Mama Sirleaf was (and is) as a leader, she really doesn't deserve the award. Liberia is a mess. For some time now, it has always been one of the poorest of the poor countries in Africa. Of course, Mama was able to manage the country well enough to avoid devastating internal crisis. However, she did almost nothing to raise the living standards. You don't want to be poor in Liberia. Corruption is also endemic there.

If Mama can win this, I see no reason why GEJ should not have. Nonetheless, congrats to her.
