Enonymous: Interview Proper
...
What if your brother wants her back after she’s in Canada?
He can’t. We’ll hold a family meeting on his head. Besides he’s signed away his parental rights to me. We won’t give her back.
What if she’s crying that she wants to go back?
She won’t. She is a part of us now. She is our daughter, and we’ll make decisions that are best for her. Her bio father could not take care of her. We couldn’t let her rot, so we took her as our own.
You don’t speak well about your brother?
I’m being sincere. He does not have the means to raise her properly.
You’re not loyal to your brother?
I love my brother, but I am loyal to my family.
Your brother has been in the entertainment industry for 12 years, he’s doing well. (Scrolls through his facebook, pointing at pictures of banky W and other Naija celebrities.) I think he can raise her.
He can’t afford to raise her. Social media is not always reality. He is my brother, I know the truth, and I am telling you the whole truth.
Then be backlash!
You do not believe in your brother. It seems because you have more money you think that you can just take his kid or do how you please. The guy does his best, he...
The End! This is the most heartwarming PPR gist I have read here! Thank you for taking up the child. And for you and yours, when you need the help of one person, nations will rise to your aid. Congratulations! |

chyegems: How can someone who has never worked for anyone apply to travel to Canada for greener pastures i have a BSC in political sc.but has never worked but i own a petty business. Hello, ma. Not even NYSC? I think most immigration opportunities to Canada require some experience. Maybe you should wait to hear what others think. In the meantime, read through page 1 of this thread. Also, since you are thinking about this already, you should start thinking about how to prepare for your IELTS. In your IELTS preparation, after perfecting your basic writing skills, you may want to pay attention to concord and coherence. See the words in bold. My suggestion: always try to read aloud before you submit anything. Good luck! |

Spouse ECA completed in August
IELTS exam 14th November for I and my spouse.
Hopefully, we will get the required score at first sitting..
Making progress.. Congrats. Godspeed to you two. The words in bold: expressions like that will ruin your IELTS dream. May be good for colloquial conversations; however, for IELTS, you want to say "my spouse and I..." Good luck. |

"Be anxious for nothing. But with prayers and supplications, make your request known to God."
That verse right there is why I'm not anxious about this. At least before I, out of curiosity, joined a WhatsApp group with many anxious Indians. I don leave the group sharp sharp.
For me, I know say God's able to keep what I have committed into His hands. We move! |

I can't deal with being in a WhatsApp group with Indians. Many of them worry way too much, I can't come and kee myself with hbp. |

dadas1112: I've been following this thread for sometime now but I have a few questions and I'll appreciate if you could help me with some answers and clarification. I'm hopeful for an ITA soon.
1) I figured that most people after getting a gift deed done still invest the money in treasury bill or Fixed deposit and submit investment certificate to CIC. Is there a particular reason for that as opposed to having the money lie in the account and printing bank statement of past six months showing current balance?
2) Can Medical examination and PCC be done prior to receiving ITA?
Gurus please help a brother. Your questions, sir, belie your assertion that you "have been following this thread for sometime now." |

Sincere apologies to the people I haven't replied their PMs.
The tutorial group is full. I got more than I wanted; and because I want to give my 100%, I don't think taking on more people will make any sense. The quality of instruction and feedback matters.
Plus, I still have my own academic research to deal with.
Again, no vex, people. I hope to do this again once I clear the stuff on my plate. |

godG: Hi, everyone. From July 22 - August 20, I'm thinking of doing virtual pro-bono IELTS writing tutorials. It will be totally FREE.
You write, I give you feedback. Help you make sense of your thought process. You revise, you get more feedback. Then you write again. You will be doing a lot of writing during the period. One of the best ways to improve your writing is to learn by doing (writing).
Please note that I'm not going to perform any magic, I'm only going to help you rethink (and possibly unlearn) some of the things you know about writing and start writing the IELTS way. Everything will still come down to how much work you put in and how teachable you are.
I'm hoping to take on just 5 people. Again, it's totally free. Once we have five people who are interested, we can think of how to make it happen.
God bless. Thanks to those who responded. I replied your emails. We will set up the mode of interaction before the end of the week. We have 10 people on board. More than I would like, but we will still make it a great learning experience. I look forward to it. |

Mayflowa: What is the disadvantage of this? Do I still have the benefit of score derived from 2 or more certificates? Unfortunately, I have filled out the WES and paid with my Nigeria bachelor degree included. It is possible to ask WES to update the evaluation? No disadvantage. Even if you want to evaluate all your degrees, you will only get points for the highest degree. If you should evaluate your MSc and Bsc, you won't get points for two degrees, you will only get points for your MSc. |

Mayflowa: Thank you for the info. When I saw the WAEC stuff, I had a bit of frustration. Now that I have paid for the WES, how do I removed the Nigeria degree from it? Can I email them to forget about evaluating my Nigeria degree? My pleasure. Email and follow-up with a call or two. |
Travel › Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 8 by godG: 3:17pm On Jul 07, 2019 |
Mayflowa: Maybe I am missing something. What is the right procedure if you have foreign master degree? Do I forget about sending my bachelor degree WES? or I need t include both master and bachelor for evaluation? There is no "right procedure", sir. You can do as you like. In any case, you don't have to evaluate your BSc if you have a graduate degree. But if you don't mind slowing down your evaluation timeline, evaluate your BSc with your graduate degree. However, please be informed that if your BSc or graduate degree was obtained in Nigeria, you are in for a long thing. Because you will need to evaluate your WAEC and/or NECO as well. So, sir, to avoid unnecessary stress, just evaluate your highest degree. |

dayveed1: that is okete...the one OP killed is Still young that's why.. I could tell because I have once rare three Oketes before.. We killed their parents they were so young and they could barely see. I took them home and gave them shelter lol everyone said that they won't survive but they did.. When they were 6 weeks old they have the same size as the One OP posted.. So I know. Thank you. I think this addresses my reservations. I never see juvenile òkété before. Back in the days, we usually hunt big ones. Great memories! |

Tolexander: lemme burst your balls!
See the latter part of the tail. Only okete has that white color at the latter tail part, not emo. That is what yoruba elders do call “ase okete”. They believe if you cut it and place it beside trap over the night, you will catch another one.
That is a juvenile okete, animals aren’t born big.
Moreover, you hardly see emo in the house, cos they hardly come near the house but in a bush and they aren’t nocturnal. Okete is nocturnal.
All these things made up my childhood experience. So don’t tell me you have the monopoly of the experience Okay then. I think the words in bold clarify it. Juvenile òkété. Lol. I know ase, sir. Haha, no one is talking about having "the monopoly of the experience", brother. And you don't have to "burst [my] balls". What have they done to you to deserve bursting them? It's not that deep na. Abi, there is money involved in it ni? Thanks for clarifying. |

Tolexander: Emo is brown.
Seems like you don’t know okete Lol. Ẹmọ́ doesn't necessarily have to be brown. They come in different shades. Plus look at the pic very well, it's not totally black. Òkété is way bigger than that. I know what I am saying. Hunting was a cherished part of my childhood. I have killed many òkété before. Only days-old òkété can look like that. Or you mean èkúté? |

Tolexander: This is “okete” in yoruba Pouch rat in English language
Not so big anyway. That's not òkété. It's ẹmọ́. |

Ologunsunny: Thanks you that is brilliant, but can't use punctuation properly, your writing really speaks volume. Nice. I pay attention to punctuation where it matters (like taking PhD preliminary examinations, writing a dissertation proposal, Masters thesis, prized essays, and IELTS). Not on a faceless forum. I won't sha attach my TRF for you. However, I must say, I like the fact that you have a good sense of humor. Make I follow you. Really, that was my score, man. |
