Married with 2 kids and wife pregnant, both of us are going for MSc and currently considering a number of Universities with funding, we have streamlined to 1 or 2.
we are both planning to go by Spring 2022, but we have already started the process, initially my plan was to go for Fall 2021 while she goes for Spring 2022. But we are considering both of us going together.
Here is the issue iam applying for F1, wife is applying for F1 and kids applying for F2 (with my wife as the F1), i will like to seek for advise, help and suggestions on things to do to get Visa approved. Please note that we want to go for the interview same time and date

This is the current laptop im using its very fast quite alright but i cant advise anyone to go for it, better still go for MAC or Dell. The batter started swelling up within 1 yr and 6 months of usage. I went online and i discovered its peculiar to HP x360. i think HP had to recall some of them. its that bad

You will keep your passport and it will only be requested when your application is approved.

Even if the event has passed, once you qualify for a TRV you will still get it. The rationale is, you will need it for another trip. Canada usually grant the length of your passport.

can you suggest how much i need to have as my closing balance?

Also, im worried that i will later apply for Open work permit next year as my spouse will be going for postgraduate study, does the status of this TRV application has any effect on the decision when i applied for open work visa?

1. MSc Statistics is not in demand in Canada, albeit this doesn't mean that she won't be able to get a job after studies.
2. The IRCC requirement is that applicant or sponsor must show proof of funds for the first year of study in Canada, which include the tuition and 10kcad living expenses. Accordingly, you should have adequate funds left to cater for yourself and the kids.
3. You're on the right track, apply for a SOWP later with the kids after the approval of her study permit.

A sponsor must not be related. People have gotten approval with unrelated sponsor. When using an unrelated sponsor, it’s good to make it clear why that person decided to spend so much on you.

From your analysis, its obvious there is job satisfaction in the secondary school than the university. Also, consider the progression (PhD), the additional income, salary increment, all these i can see in the secondary school. The location also matters too. The recruiter should have understood the current age we lived in. Scammers adopt the same strategy. Since the person in question already drew back from the second paragraph, I think the recruiter should have clarified further and proceed with the interview if truly they're giving out the job or they could have adopted other channels such as mail or SMS.
