A young woman identified as Ewatomi Ayeni, who was at the Lagos magistrate's court, Yaba on Wednesday, June 17, has claimed that Nollywood actor, Olanrewaju Omiyinka, popularly known as Baba Ijesha is innocent of the allegations against him, IgbereTV reports.
Ewatomi who claims to be a relative of Baba Ijesha told newsmen that Princess had tried to seduce Baba Ijesha and when he resisted, she vowed to make Baba Ijesha pay. She claimed Princess then set him up with her foster daughter.
She said, "My name is Ewatomi Ayeni, the person in question is my elder brother. I haven't spoken on the media ever since the issue started. I am Baba Ijesha's younger sister. I am not ready to mention names but I know justice will be served.
"The government should investigate this matter very well and ensure that an innocent man doesn't die in the position of the wicked. If one doesn't hear the other side of the story before arriving at a conclusion, that person is wicked. Do not allow an innocent man to suffer because of what has happened, he knows nothing about it.
"He was invited and they set up the camera. All that they have asked the girl to do was what she did. They didn't give Baba Ijesha the grace to defend himself, so they can at least hear him out. He's there now, he's sick but he cannot go out, he's just there, he's useless, the family too is useless, we can't do anything. We cannot leave him to be in pain, he's the pillar of our family and he must not crumble.
"I don't want to mention names but if truly, Ijesha committed this crime, his wife's mother will never support him.
"They claimed Baba Ijesha defiled the girl 7 years ago; if only everyone knew what happened to him. We (his family members) cannot disclose, it's not everyone you see in movies, dressed well, that lives a perfect life. How many people do we explain what happened to? Responding on Instagram, Princess simply said the woman is not Baba Ijesha's sister. Princess then shared voice notes she claims Baba Ijesha sent to his friends from prison, encouraging them to spread lies about her and tarnish her image so that her story will be questioned by people.
We have dated for like two years+ now, she was 18+ when we met, after some time, I was deeply in love with her and I believed she loved me too, so with that thought I asked her out for marriage, though she was excited over it but she said that she's not ready, that she just finished her secondary school and have to learn some business first as she's not going to further her educations, that she will consider marriage at the age of 22+,I was ok with that and so we kept going.

The break lasted for some months and we somehow managed to reconcile, we were back like never before, everything was so cool, I always tell her we need to prioritize the relationship so that it will have a clear direction, I wanted to tell her my mind, which is if you can't marry me, then let's quit for good, all that was on my mind but time and business never let me air it out.
Due to business, I have been traveling here and there, but we do talk frequently.We haven't seen for like two weeks cus I'm busy traveling (courtesy of my business).
I traveled last week Thursday, my mum got sick and was admitted to hospital while I was out,she always visits my mum at the hospital, I was worried with so many things that I didn't call her for like two days, so on Saturday, she called me in the morning which we talked very well, I noticed that something is off with her, I inquired but she said all is well, she asked if I'm coming back that same day but I was not sure cus I'm not done with my biz, she say that we need to see, which made me to ask her if there is any problem at all but she said no.
I was done with my biz towards evening,I was not fit for traveling that same day,but cus of my mum and the way my girl talked about seeing me,I decided to be on my way that same day.
Midway through the journey,my phone bleeped and it was text message from my girl,that she is getting married and that she has been trying to tell me but there's no chance for that...after reading the texts like about twenty times,I was confused and disturbed,I replied her saying that she's not serious...
Nairalanders,I came home that same night,went straight to the hospital, after seeing my mum,I went home and took my bath,then I went to her house,I refused to get inside,so I forced her to come out to come see me,she came out and was looking tattered and unkept, unlike the way I know her...I was eager to know what's going on and so I went straight to the point.
Hmmm,she was shaking, subbing and crying at the same time, she told me it's true, she's getting married, and that I shouldn't blame her,that everything just happened so fast...that it is not up to a month she met the guy,that since then he and his family has been disturbing her and her parents, and with that pressure she said yes without thinking, and besides, ever since we came back together that she can't exactly tell if I'm still interested in marrying her or not, that I never voiced it out or talked about marriage with her again like before...That she thought I no longer wants to marry her...
She said that it was on Friday that they came and said that they will be coming to take list on Saturday and then on 16th of June they will come and pay her bride price... She was not at home when all this was happening, she came back from shop and her father gave her the news, which was shocking to her.
I asked her, why didn't you tell me all this? Why didn't you tell me that you're ready now? All she could say is that she still loves me and she's sorry... She keeps blaming me for not asking her out again...
We both cried like babies out there, till it was very late, the next I woke up wishing that all of the incident should be just a dream,I called her,she picked and her voice was down, truth is that,we haven't been the same since then, and as I am typing this, my girl is being married off to someone else, what I don't know is if she's doing it against her wish or she's doing it willingly?.
She's been calling since yesterday,that she wants to see me.
The last time we saw each other yesterday evening, I requested to be left alone, but she pleaded that I should not block her from communicating with me.
I couldn't sleep last night, and I believe she didn't as well, our last call was around 10:36 pm... She's not relaxed on the call which I noticed and asked her what is the problem again, she then said she will text me later...

Gombe Agric Commissioner Visits Wawa-Zange Grazing Reserve, Says Facility to Begin Operation Soon
...As Emir of Dukku Hails Governor Inuwa for Keying into FG's Livestock Transformation Scheme
Gombe State Governor, Alhaji Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya has been commended for working in synergy with the federal government and other relevant agencies to ensure the smooth implementation of the National Livestock Transformation Programme which seeks to boost the production of livestock and its value chain in the country.
The Emir of Dukku, His Royal Highness, Alhaji Haruna Abdulkadir Rashid II gave the commendation when the Commissioner of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry, Muhammad Magaji Gettado called on him at his palace in Dukku shortly after undertaking a tour of Wawa-Zange grazing reserve in a string of visits to inspect completed and ongoing projects at the colony to make it habitable for herders and their animals.
The monarch said his emirate council is in full support of the initiative because of the fact that if fully implemented, the programme will not only help herders from risky distant travels by foot, but will also curtail the perennial farmers/herders clashes.
He particularly praised Governor Inuwa Yahaya's passion and determination towards ensuring the revival of Wawa-Zange grazing reserve and for his wonderful policies targeted at revamping agricultural activities and livestock production in the state.
The Commissioner of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry, Muhammad Magaji Gettado assured of the determination of Gombe state Government to transform the Wawa Zange grazing reserve as way of keying into the vision of the National Livestock Transformation Programme of the Federal Government.
Sites inspected by the Commissioner include the completed 20-bed capacity hospital, the ongoing construction of a veterinary clinic and large expanse of ware hay currently being nurtured to maturity. Other areas visited by the Commissioner and members of his entourage included the already dredged dams located at the grazing reserve settlements centre and the one in Galumji recently awarded by the administration of Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya to harvest more rain water for the benefit of the livestock.
The Commissioner who expressed satisfaction with the level of work at the grazing reserve, however challenged the contractor handling the veterinary clinic to speed up work so that herders can begin to enjoy services to be provided there.
He said when eventually completed, the grazing reserve will house 6 hospitals, 6 veterinary clinics, a milk collection centre, 16 boreholes and a modern abattoir to add up to the existing schools for nomadic education.
"Gombe State Government will leave nothing to chance. We will employ health workers and veterinary staff to man each facilities when completed and ready for use and we are going to equip these facilities with state of the art equipment".
He said Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya is committed to the successful completion of the project hence the award of contract for the dredging of two earth dams which were left unattended to since it was dug some 40 years ago.
It will be recalled that Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya had while featuring in a special NTA's current affairs programme Tuesday Live last week, said his administration is working assiduously to explore various value chain opportunities in the livestock sector through the planned dedication of about 250 hectares in the proposed Gombe industrial park for agricultural industrial cluster.
He equally maintained that Gombe was among the first states to key into the Federal Government's Livestock Transformation Project, which identified the Wawa-Zange grazing reserve as the pilot site, saying the state is taking maximum advantage of the grazing reserve, which is a gazetted reserve with over 140, 000 hectares and carrying capacity of about 2 million heads of cattle and other small ruminants.
Kudos to the governor this is a right step in the right direction, i urge the northern governors to do the same to stop the herders-farmers clash. Ranching is the way forward
