I even mentioned that in my post, it really isn't hard to read...Since he is a doubting Thomas, then he should ask for further tests, if he has brothers then he should bring them forward, if his father is still alive he can even bring him forward...he might as well, since he doesn't trust his wife. Let him keep tarnishing his image to his wife and child. And if after all of this proves his wife's fidelity, his reputation will forever be tarnished to his wife. Let's hope he's not treating the child differently 'cause that will also tarnish his reputation with his child.

Now if this woman has indeed made James Bond style moves to go out of her way to deceive her husband, then she should face the consequences and maybe apply for espionage work...But the way I see it, I believe the father is honestly setting himself up for serious grief, because his actions will definitely have consequences in the future.

A father would certainly share more genetic traits and alleles with their child than his uncle ever would. There's a reason why DNA tests are used to determine paternity of a child. Any old matching does not work, if that were the case, it would never be used as a viable option in court cases. Funny how folks forget what DNA means, when you run tests pertaining to parentage, the results can be used to tell whether the man is the father or a close familial relative as well. Eg if I run a DNA test with my brother, it will show that[b] we share certain patterns* [/b]with each other that will prove we are siblings.

Now, I'm no professional in genetics & it's been a long time since I studied biology, but I do know that even identical twins don't have the fingerprints even though they were spilt from the same fertilised eggs, while also possessing the same alleles. The human body is a funny thing, mutations are known to happen, it would appear genetic quirks will always turn up one way or the other.

From this story, when DNA tests have proven he is indeed the father, the simple fact he doesn't appear to trust his wife, makes me not trust the man, his behaviour is rather suspicious...

Every individual has their own unique genetic print. DNA can accurately pin point who an uncle is and who a father is. There's no way a genuine dna test will not differentiate a biological uncle from a biological parent.

How many competent staffs are in hospitals today Once they see a match they conclude.. They don't have to be 100% sure its the husband's child..

Yes DNA can pinpoint it... But further studies have to prove that the child is 100% the husbands'..

Its very easy to point fingers and talk against people. Some even suggested outright divorce. From what I read, the man is the girl's father. I guess some people jumped that or didn't read the story at all. Pls sir, tell your friend he shouldn't be fast to judge his wife. I've a funny feeling that the man's genotype is not AA, he appears to not have decided to retest himself. I believe he is either AS or AC. He seems to really want to divorce his wife very quickly. It's amazing how some people on NL seem so eager to scream infidelity at the wife, even though the story says the family have had more than one DNA test that confirms the man is the father. Nowhere has it been pointed out in this story, that the man has officially confirmed his genotype as AA.

The human body is a funny thing, mutations are known to happen, if it has been confirmed that he is indeed AA, then it could simply be a rare case with the child. But know this, after the smoke clears, his wife will find it very hard to trust her husband, since his behaviour will definitely bring fresh doubts into her mind.
