Get your facts straight. Igbos don't troop to Yorubaland, they troop to Lagos. Which other sw is worth doing business in apart from Lagos, the previous capital of Nigeria, built with the collective resources of every Nigerian? Is it Ibadan, with no single impressive house except shanties full of houses with brown rusted roofs? Is it ondo, Osun, Ekiti that are mostly rural areas?

Please get your facts straight and stop feeling proud cos of Lagos which would not have attained it's present status if not for the fact that it was once a Federal capital territory.

Port Harcourt is like Warri, it's actually more inland than anything hence it's shallow, same for Calabar which is very narrow and shallow. The only viable port in the east would be in Akwa Ibom where there is a solid coastline, unlike the mangroves and shallow waters of Bayelsa, Rivers and Cross River. Look at a topological map.

Stop with the excuses...

Let the port stop at where the water is high and let them find means of getting the containers to the mainland...

It's not about Lagos. That's where some people get it wrong. Lagos due to its ports and having been Nigeria's capital enjoys certain privileges. If Anambra or Enugu should overtake Lagos tomorrow, it's the same people that say 'Leave our land' that'll watch in dismay as people leave en masse.

There's PORT harcourt, there was a port in Calabar before there was one in Lagos...

People leave Lagos everyday and nothing changes..

Kwara is a SW state.. Even geographically... A lot of people grew up with the idea/opinion that Kwara is a northern state...

Did you even read my post. Their ancestry is Yoruba, noone denied that including MY own post in which you replied. The common day Olukumi on the other hand DOES NOT see themselves as yoruba. First of all, olukumi migrated to Aniochaland, not the other way around. Our people accepted nicely, even accommodated them nice enough by providing them their own place in which they can call a home...that's why I always laugh whenever Yoruba run their mouth on their so called accomodation of igbos in lagos , blah blah. The problem is SE Igbos refuse to learn about other igbo territory outside of their own. If they did, they would have known about this history and use it to shut up that unaccomodated tribe that keep shouting everywhere about their accommodation of others in lagos. Mtchewww. olukumi is yoruba word for "friend".. Its ancient yoruba..

When yoruba slaves were distributed. The yoruba used olukumi to recognise each other..

I know because in Brazil, Cuba and other places where yoruba slaves settled they call themselves "Lucumi"... You can google it...

Olukumi is 100% yoruba.
