cococandy: Why in her home?. So she can't afford hotel accommodation to frolick with her baby boy
Anyway the man should find a solution to the problem and not let his home break over this small issue. The devil's plan is to break their marriage and he shouldn't allow that to happen. Marriage is for better or worse. My people don't let anyone put asunder in your home. He should fight for his marriage and put the enemy to shame. When two loyal people get married then you can say marriage is for better or worse... |

As for the beautification of Uyo, pls visit the interiors and life out there is somefin else... Was once in d city and after marvelling at how beautiful d city is, I had cause tto visit nwaniba(inside uyo) and it was a far cry from d beauty I saw in strategic places. Governance should be about increasing d lot of d populace not going on some fancy jumbo projects the common man won't benefit from... What's the percentage of akwa ibomites that can afford a ticket to that stadium... Nor is governance about giving of luxury cars to artistes... All in all, Obong Godswill Akpabio tried.... Though to me, his priorities were rather misplaced Have you heard of tourism |

All he had to do was channel Nigeria's resources to mine oil and gold... Instead, he was busy attacking other yoruba governors that were not PDP. He is still attacking other Yoruba till date. |

Dollyak: That's just heartbreaking. The rivalry has brought out ugly hatreds from both sides. One person called me a bastard and told me I am not better than a goat just because my Mum married a Yoruba. Yorubas too are just as bad if you criticise their behaviour toward Igbos. How I wish both side can sit down, be logical and constructive for the best of both parties. There's no rivalry between Yoruba and any tribe... All the tribes come to Yorubaland to succeed and later brand it NO MAN'S LAND because of the attitude of the Yoruba... Yoruba are not naïve.. They will condone abusive words for now... They're working towards making Yorubaland better.. OBJ is a mistake.. |

Dollyak: Yorubas were never this tribalistic, what happened? Yorubas are one of the most friendly and accommodating people in Africa. Some of the comments here is now making me think otherwise. My dad and most peoole I know are not like this. I hope they are not the odd one. You can be friendly/accommodating and still be tribalistic... Yorubas are tribalistic... OBJ is the only un-tribalistic yoruba I know... OBJ is a failure cos he wasn't a tribalist... Imagine a YORUBA man trying to extradite another YORUBA man to the U.S. That's pure foolishness.. How many U.S citizens have the U.S extradited to NIGERIA |

Yorubas claim to be progressive and sophisticated, they claim to love each other, yet they coward enough not want to be on their own and have the most wonderful country in Africa.. Yorubas if you are all the goodies you claim to be, I bet you will be the one fighting for secession
Yoruba learn to stand on your own after all you could have been the first Africans to have independence. ..you claim to be first in every thing. ...at least you can be the first to secede and have a progressive country Whether they secede or not does not matter. building and maintaining infrastructures, basic amenities and peaceful living is what matters.. |

Reference: You are in luck for I was going to use more colourful language to describe such a person. But it all boils down to what we say about Nigerians....lazy, irresponsible, apt to handover their destinies to government/politicians, pastors/churches, and in this case employers...then turn round to blame those people, those institutions that slave drive them.
When they look at developed countries with envy, little do they realise that the drivers of prosperity are the people who take on enterprise, bear the hardship, scorn the shame, weigh the risks and drive for success. What do they think the typical proverbial 'American Dream' is all about....working for MacDonalds or for the Pentagon.
America has more natural resources, more oil and gas than most OPEC countries, only second to Russia in coal reserves, same from almost all metals and minerals yet you will never know because their resources underground is not a major yardstick by which they measure their wealth or productivity. They don't have the sense of entitlement that the average Nigerian has who consciously or sub-consciously thinks that because this country pumps out 2 million barrels of oil a day they are entitled to good roads, 24 hrs electricity, cheap fuel, free education, free meals in school, unemployment benefits and million naira jobs in banks so that they may get married, reproduce like rabbits and live happily ever after. Life is not like that.
The truth is that Nigeria is a poor country on account of low productvity, on account of the 'entitlement mentality'. Nigerians are waiting for someone else to prosper them. It won't happen. Go out and create your wealth and lifestyle of you taste. Leave the banks alone. They pay what they can afford. You're the lazy one.. |

SemuhleB: Especially the women part cracks me up so much. Majority of South African women well the classy educated ones do not like Nigerian men. Nigerian men have a bad reputation here as they are chronic womanizers, cheats and they love to beat their girlfriends up. Nigerian men generally like women and especially yellow bones with ass and hips and they go crazy. The way they flip over women here is what makes the average South African believe that Nigerian women are not attractive. Also Nigerian men are the last on the list of the foreign men that South African women date. It seems they have an ego where they believe that they are better than every country and their women are crazy about them. They say our men are lazy but I have heard them use the same lines with Ghana men too. Haters are hating Nigerians are moving forward |

agarawu23: nice one rapmoney.
I am in support of your write up But I want us to look it from another angle.
I am not in support of a young hustling guy spending lavishly on a Lady he is yet to marry but that doesn't mean he should not fall in love.(he should apply sense)
If he finally forget about ladies, chase his dream and later succeed, how will he find true love ? (no be our girls of nowadays? Ferrari things )
What if the guy is not destined to be rich? I am sure he will still settle down with one (though she might not be his dream girl)
We have few ladies who don't care if a guy is rich or poor, all they want is true love (bros I still dey find them o ) Everyone is destined to be great not just rich.. Never forget that humans have a choice. |

Funny enough when they are angry, you will see the way they act to the other once that are older than them and you will be wondering if its not the same person that demanded respect from u Its called pride. They are taking advantage of the culture.. Its not just the yoruba that berates younger ones... Old people in Nigeria are this way... The lady just wants the op's attention.. |
