AND BRITAIN IS A COUNTRY OF PAEDOPHILES, CHILD RAPISTS, SODOMITES AND CORRUPT GLOBAL ELITES. I LIVE IN LONDON AS A BRITISH NATIONAL OF NIGERIAN ORIGIN, I CAN PROUDLY SAY I LOVE NIGERIA AND THE FAMILY AND GOOD MORAL STANDARD I WAS RAISED UP IN MY HOME VILLAGE CAN NEVER BE FOUND IN ANY BRITISH SOCIETY. THE CRIME KIDNAPPERS AND CORRUPT POLITICIANS COMMIT CAN NEVER TO BE COMPARED TO SECRET EVIL OF THE BRITISH ROYAL FAMILY AND THEIR GOVERNMENT. WE DONT CELEBRAT HOMOSEXUAL IN NIGERIA but the british do WE DONT INVADE OTHER COUNTRY AND TOPPLE THE LEADERS WE DONT LIKE AND KILL WOMEN AND CHILDREN LIKE THEY DO IN IRAQ, LYBJA, AFGHANISTAN, PAKISTAN ETC. WE DONT HAVE OPENLY HOMOSEXUAL POLITICIANS IN NIGERIAN GOVERNMENT.
LOL, you couldn't even read the article.....sigh |
kingoflag: Nna bia, who is your G? You better concentrate on the book the village council donated money to send you here to read and leave the Cocaine alone for the US born druggies to keep doing what they do best. Whats all this nonsense you wrote up there? Psychopaths kill kids?! OK?! Do they just disappear into thin air or does it get investigated properly? Compare that to what happens in your country! Same goes for every other "fault" you tried to put against this country. Fuc*ked up judicial system?! Lmaoo Dont kill me with laughter! If thats how you describe this country's Judicial System, how would you describe Nigeria's?Aii G, I can't with you....hopefully you'll be alright. |
617aircav: Im pretty sure the person in Nigeria earning $2k a month has an education and the american does not. What is a better life to you?True.., I don't know about a better life though cos my life isn't bad atall at this point. |
infolekan: And what really are you studying there that is not offered in Nigeria.I'm studying mechanical engineering and its offered in Nigeria but it was my father's idea of me schooling here, so here i am. The minimum wage has everything to do with the rent (cost of living), if the cost of living is very low then the salary won't matter and if the the cost of living is very high then the minimum wage would be next to useless yes? Now i never told you its hard for me to survive here, I was just doing a comparison with Nigeria and the Us on rent and accommodation. Like I've said earlier the Us has arguably the best educational system and Uni's in the world and my parents can afford it so i'm here to make the best use of the opportunity. Oh and you probably got me mixed up with one of those desperate Nigerians who want to leave the shores of the country by all means...Nahh G i'm not about that life. I came here cause i wanted aii. Finally there are unemployed and underpaid grads in every part of the world.... A cab driver who dropped me off from the airport recently is an economists but there are no jobs and he has to feed his family so he resorted to cab driving. His case is definitely one out of many. Finally I don't care if the US is better than Nigeria (Its a bloody first world country gaddammit!), I am Nigerian and I could careless how great the US is. What Nigerians should do is look for ways of building our country, changing perspectives, electing better leaders, challenging corruption and so on rather than adore and worship the US at every given instance. |
adconline: How many Nigerians earn this amount.. Maybe 5-10%.. We are talking about minimum wage in Naija $110 vs US $1200. You are not better when you provide ur generator, diesel, water, security, and road. The problem is that Nigerians don't know how how to monetize these govt services they are paying out of their pocket. Someone who makes $100k/yr in the US enjoys a more comfortable life than someone is Naija who makes $200,000.00.This is what you guys never want to understand. What the hell do you mean 5-10% earn N200,000...are you even alright? so all the bankers, accountants, doctors, ceos', engineers, traders, economists are just 5 percent of the population?...common man!, you can do better. someone who makes $100,000 in Nigeria lives way better than the person who earns $200,000 in the US. With a 100grand in Nigeria every year, you could live in the best areas in the city, drive a german car from that year and ball every saturday if you choose. Housing most especially is way cheaper in Nigeria in comparison to the US. You can even hire a maid, gateman, driver etc. There's no doubt a person earning $200,000 in any part of the world isn't living badly atall but I can categorically tell you that the person earning $100,000 in Nigeria lives a way more comfortable life. well comfortable is subjective but you probably get my point. |
kingoflag: ROFLMAOOOOOOOOOOOOLool, forever ranting... you done? and your high and mighty Us With all the racial bs, psychopaths kidnapping people for more than 10 years, serial killers, random shootings, the bleeped up judicial system, crazy people shooting 6 year olds just because they had arguments with their parents....Nahh G, you can keep your America. They have arguably the best Educational system and thats why i'm here. At once i'm done, i'm out on to return on vacations or just to chill for a bit. I'm sure you'll live better than me when i'm making $1m a month in Nigeria *Laughs*, Your very emotional comments are always pitiful. Some of you are in so much denial like i'm just perplexed. You'll be alright though.....hopefully America gives you all you need. Later G. |
GAR3TH: Why do I keep getting the impression that Nigerians are just a bunch of lazy welfare sucking, tax evaders. Really It doesn't take an ounce of brain cells to know that $10 minimum wage in the USA is light years better the minimum wage in Nigeria.the cost of living in Nigeria is way less man, and frankly i'd rather earn 10bucks an hour in Nigeria than Earn that in the Us. |
Blue Magic: I honestly can say its going to be hard to live on $10/hr in california because its a really expensive state to live in bt u can get by in some less expensive states. $10/hr covers ur health insurance, car insurance & other bills bt at the end of the day u still get by somehow. At the same time everyone is trying to better themselves than be stuck at $10/hr job. That being said I recently came back to Nigeria & was amazed at how expensive things cost in Nigeria. It actually cost more to live in Nigeria than in U.S. So how can some1 survive on #18,500 per month. That is just absurd.it costs more to live in Nigeria than the US? c'mon man, are you even alright?. I'm a student here and my housing alone cost $650 a month (without gas, electricity and all) and its a two-bedroom apt. In every year i'd spend about $7800 (N1.2m) or more on just housing; i could rent a bigger house/apt in lekki, GRA or wuse for that amount. 10 bucks and hr is relatively useless in the us...you are freaking poor! |
fact is that the person in Nigeria earning $2000 a month is living way better than his/her counterpart in the US..... |
coogar: an oil rich country? poor people in the society? come on! of all the countries that discovered oil in the 50s/60s, nigeria is the only one that did nothing with their resources.Nigeria did nothing with its resources?? I can't even argue with you anymore no one is born to suffer but i'll like to know what african country pays its blue-collar workers 8 bucks an hour.......waiting... if you were smart enough to read my earlier posts, you'll see that i mention The ohio state uni there, thereby meaning I lived in ohio for a bit. I transferred to Texas recently but still theres nothing so wow in this country.. Frankly I find Dubai way more alluring and beautiful than the US or any other european country but thats just me though. Like i have said continuously, i totally get your point even though you are completely on the extreme but its cool i get your frustration. You couldn't make it in Nigeria and left at the first opportunity you got... you're probably not making more than $30,000 a year and yes that is considered poor in any first world country. Nevertheless i'd repeat this again, i can and will never diss my own country. I know its problems and what we should do as Nigerians is figure out ways out of whatever ditch we find ourselves in this country, rather than run to some first world country and start preaching total B.S. |
coogar: the number of billionaires in the country does not indicate that there's any vast improvement in the welfare of the people. i would be more pleased if dangote can provide 24/7 electricity & portable on every nigerian home than employing 2 million nigerians in his vast conglomerate. 99% of the nigerian population have not benefited N1 from dangote.just like i said before, there is absolutely no winning with you or your types. Nigeria is a developing nation goddammit, i don't care if oil flows from everyones backyard, there has and will always be poor people. Regardless of whatever form of welfare or aid the government introduces. There has to poor people in every society,; its needed for social balance (and their population must be greater) [SOC 101] . I won't say i'm completely ignorant of the points you're trying to put across. Nigeria is no where near that perfect country and can't be in any way compared to any first world country. We have alot of issues to deal with, rome wasn't built in a day and theres great room for improvement and i believe we have started getting it right no matter how little the growth may be as long as its still growth!. N19,000 is comfortable for those who earn that amount and most times they are able to save, send their kids to school and provide for their family without any help from the government and that right there is plausible. i'm not going to keep battering words with you on this, you clearly have the time. I've made my points clear to you. Enjoy whichever first world country you're at, better make use of the opportunities given to you aii. I've been to most of those places and i'm currently studying in the US and frankly theres nothing "Wow" about this place. |
coogar: if dangote is not employing 100 million nigerian citizens, he should not be mentioned in this discourse. what's the percentage of the population of the nigerians working under dangote? does he not pay them the normal useless rates most companies do in nigeria or he pays nigerians in dollars? what has dangote gotta do with this debate, you are not educated!Dangote doesn't have to employ 100 million Nigerians to prove Nigerias growth, the fact that he's providing employment at a great level is just enough. Most construction companies in Nigeria will use Dangote's cement, therefore the need to import cement is futile. Just like Nigeria has its own communications company (Globacom) and loads and loads of other privately owned Nigerian companies that provide employment for the country. It may not be the best out there, but we're definitely getting somewhere. some of us don't just see the downside in things. I am counting just a handful because i can't mention them all, the Nigerians that don't sing are Engineers, doctors, accountants, lawyers, nurses, pharmacists, traders, farmers, entrepreneurs, cleaners, teachers etc...and they very well take care of themselves to the best of their abilities. i'm still wondering how people who got swindled got into this; did every single Nigerian swindle them?? yes i did american history at the Ohio state University and here again you display your inferiority complex. you just believe that whatever was paid to them at that point was enough to cater for their needs. what makes you thing people who earn N19k a month aren't comfortable... they'll be alright if you don't continuously rub it in their faces how you earn 8 bucks an hour making fries at mcdonalds. My gateman earns N35k and the driver earns N20k and they are not complaining... they use it to fulfil their needs and are able to save; my gateman recently bought plots of land in his village (he now has an asset). Nonetheless i get your point. so if Nigeria starts paying newly weds $40,000 you'd be happy and shut your mouth about all the dust you've been yarning?... please!.. we have programs like SURE-P na dthe rest providing employment and giving capitals to well deserved entrepreneurs so frankly Jonathan is doing quite fine in that area. Like I said earlier theres no winning with you. your mind is made up on Nigeria and so is mine as well but I can never diss my own country. |

coogar: what's the essence of having billionaires when 70% of the population live below the poverty line? are you educated at all? you mean the lives of nigerians are better because they have adenuga and jim ovia in their midst? do these rich people share their resources with the population?1).Those billionaires create employment, Dangote alone is the highest private employer in Nigeria...so yes they are indirectly sharing their resources with Nigeria. Infact we need more and more Dangotes in this country. 70%?? C'MON man!... more like 50% (its no way perfect but yea its not that bad). 2).That boy is just as ignorant and probably doesn't know better. just like the mexicans who flood the US with the mindset that money falls from trees. Yes, the entertainment industry is doing wonders: who was wizkid 5 years ago, dammy crane, 2 face, d'banj, etc. A lot of them even left the high and mighty America to come back home and are making more than 10x what they would have ever made in that country (tiwa savage, banky w, sheyi shey etc). radio station are providing employment, concerts provide employment, film festivals provide employment....you are quite ignorant of all these things. 3). Look at your statement, it just displays ignorance and a load of inferiority complex. I did american working class history in my freshman year in college and there was basically nothing like a middle class at that point. you were either a factory worker, a servant or an executive. finally they were paid in cents so yea it was way worse. i'm just wowed by your level of ignorance....its utterly disgusting man. |
coogar: you are very dumb....Dangote's wealth has everything to do with the facts that Nigeria is growing. People like Dangote, Adenuga, Ovia, Alakija just to name a few show the growth that Nigeria is witnessing. I believe there's no winning withe people like you; you basically never see anything good in Nigeria. Secondly its not all about being an oil producing country, does the UAE have 170 million people to cater for, or libya or any of the countries you mentioned. finally, Tf are you mentioning libya for, with all the trouble and crises going on in that place? c'mon man you can do better. Nigeria's growth is more evident now than you can ever imagine. Lets just use the entertainment industry as an example; 10 years ago nigerian artist were basically just for Nigerians, fast forward to 2013.... we basically own Africa and are taking on the world. These days almost everyone is embracing their art side and the entertainment industry is keeping millions off the streets. yea and just let me know what the minimum wage was (if there was any) when the US was 53. Its a lost war with you regardless but i just chose to educate you a bit. hopefully you're more informed now. |
coogar: if you remove that $9 billion from your economy every year, nigeria would turn to somalia. you are not intelligent, 90% of the resources in nigeria are lapped up by 1% of the population - this is why your minimum wage is N19,000 per month and your senators are being paid millions of naira per month.LOOL @ Nigeria would turn to somalia.... who's the dumb one now. Even if our oil wells dry up, Nigeria wouldn't still be as bad as somalia. whats $9 billion to an economy like Nigeria's even dangote is worth over twice that amount. we are still a developing country yes?, the US thats over 300 years old still has and average minimum wage of less than 8 bucks an hour and still has over 30% of it s population on foods stamps, welfare and some sort of aid from the gov, remove that and they are worse off than madam ugo who sells plantain or friday who is a bricklayer. so please heres a bench \_______ |
coogar: hahahahahaLol, you keep saying that $9billion bla bullcrap. sorry but agriculture constitutes most of Nigeria's economy and not some over bloated amount you keep mentioning like you actually donated a dime. |
unmask: ur last statement about hanging abroad would be refering to abt 150 million Nigerians.....your leaders will soon get to the tax issue and its not that Nigerians don't get taxed, we just evade paying it.....cos we can pay bribes instead.........finally reports say 45% of Nigerians live below the poverty line only God knows the amount that live on the line......45% is about 80 million people, wont this people prefer to be comfortable?.....being comfortable should be the norm, being rich should be the exception....but guess what? Nothing in Nigeria is normal150 million nigerians? come..are you even alright. So what about the doctors, nurses, engineers, construction workers, teachers, professors, bankers, accountants etc. These people live comfortable lives in Nigeria. A lot of people don't really care to be so rich in Nigeria, their basic concern is to be able to afford enough for their family, every other thing comes after that. |
God's shoithole>>>>>>>Nigeria
k |
coogar: if the above is true then you represent 0.01% of the nigerian population. in a nutshell, you are a minority.nope, the reality is that a lot of nigerians actually are. The ones who harvest their food with normal tools in the village, the ones who sell garri, plantain etc to send their kids to uni.....the men who are bricklayers just so their family can feed are hardworking men. you don't necessarily have to have mansions and work a 9-5 to be hardworking. Nigerians are very hardworking people generally; we don't really depend on the government to give us aids, welfare and things poor americans benefit from their government. We always go out there and get it ourselves. |
Vicjustice: Who told you that Nigerians are "hard working" people, you must be saying this from your own opinion. But you need to come to reality and understand what Nigerians are known for. Get it right, Nigerians do not have the reputation of HARD WORKERS, but of dubious people; goal diggers; corrupt minded people; social benbenefit cheater; prοstituting workers; lazy nuisance; romance cheaters; drug peddlers; habitual liars; religious fanatics; loud speakers; superstitious believers and all sorts of negative reputationsmy father is hardworking, my mother is hardworking....I am hardworking and so are so many other Nigerians all over the world most especially the ones living in Nigeria. I don't know about you or your failed family though.... |
jennykadry: I sometimes avoid the travel section because of the hate some Nigerians based in that shait hole of a country called nigeria, spew. To be quite honest I believe it's just jealousy, jealous of fellow Nigerians who were lucky and blessed enough to get a life outside Nigeria. I know and believe that some of you wished that you could travel outside Nigeria and live in the westernized world for as long as you want instead of visiting with a few months visa and returning back to that cursed nation. Its just sad....i feel nothing but pity for you. |
solomon111: African should be ashamed of threads like this.People like you make it seem like Western and Asian countries don't have problems of theirs. We shouldn't necessarily showcase poverty just because there happens to be poverty in the continent. A report on the US, UK, Italy, France etc will show their most idolized places; the White House, buckingham palace, the coliseum, the Eifle tower respectively. |
Godson201333: You are a phucking fool, what is the essence of using a gas cooker and ac in an undeveloped country like Nigeria? Now this is total and utter rubbish .... |
seedord247: GO TO SOUTH AFRICA AND SEE WHAT THEY CALL UNIVERSITY..You might want to re-evaluate that. They still use blackboards in alot of prestigious uni's in the US, canada, Europe wherever. And frankly its not just by the board. |
PetroDolla: sharaaap. what has GHANA got to do with this?Like!!, i don't even understand and I'm Nigerian |
Sicozone: No 1. What do u mean by they're making hell? Have you been there before? What does ur hell qualify or quantify? Cos i dont think hell iz a rich entity.I don't think he's disputing the fact that most Nigerians are poor and he's not necessarily saying that buying mb makes you rich. Nonetheless the greater population of any country are the poor ones. Frankly any org that says 80%-90% of Nigerians live below $1 or $2 a day is useless. I don't care how many surveys they did because thats totally false. Just like the other person said, someone who is looking for food to eat wouldn't go out and buy mb for Internet access. |
She can buy hell for all I care, she is spending our money on her sons period and God is going to judge all this people and their families one day.
Which money? The one your father gave her? I'm lost here. |
blacksta: to ride on Nigerian roads - I say no moreThere are ferraris, bugattis, Porsches, lamboginis etc riding on "Nigerian roads" so I frankly don't see your point. |
Obiagelli: I posted what I see and i know 80% of Nigeria is no different from that picture from north, East, South or West. We deserve better as a nation. Most of you give this master leaders that all is well while 80% of our population live below poverty line. Get real bro. Patriotism should be well placed.80 wah?... LOL, i can't even bother with some of you.. |
saintadeola: Of course, dat hw 80 per cent of naija be like, look d whole naija place dar ar fine can be numbered,am sure if u go to qatar, there cities ar beautiful, naija is avin poor development, our mistake is in 1960,we shouldn't av attain independent, its too early,if white has help us manage naija till 1995 or more,u will av seen what development looks like,1960 is a great mistake.our independence is too earlyThis write up is appauling. |
