Policewoman: Jonathan sounded DAFT in his interview. And to think that he and NOI are both Phd holders. Smh.But you can't compare NOI to GEJ educationally still, Ngozi is way above jonathan's league in that perspective....which is why she was able to answer questions excellently and avoided a question that wasn't in her judristriction. Nevertheless i feel you guys should give Jonathan's interview a rest....the hate some people have for him will cloud any good thing he does. |
nikkyshyne: I like the fact she was confident. But it appears she has crammed what to say or something. Please what exactly was she saying about Alamieyeseigha'show do you cram a speech against Christiane Amanpour ?? |
Airforce1: Nonsense!its really sad... |
chucky234: Well your dumb watery brain cannot and will not get you anywhere,go get a life scumbag.LOOL aii g, ive already done internships in my uncle's engineering firm in Nigeria and also a summer internship here in the US and after i graduate and then get my masters, i'll still have a great job in Naij. so yea.... I actually have a life. Like!, I'm living the good life but I'm so sorry about your never changing condition and with this attitude, you'll prolly die where you are.... Pitiful |
chucky234: Where is this half-baked chronic illiterate is coming from, and you dumbly think everyone access the internet from cyber cafe like your wretched self.LOOOL please ...... Here's a bench \____. An hopefully all that irrelevant vocabulary can get you a job. Frankly i don't know what you mean by "ordinary" and I've given this example before, watch this video and be educated.. Now bye https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KnXCfCA0p9A%22 |
EPOMA: Impossible. Nigeria is not in the class of South Africa . We don't have a clue of what we are doing in this country so it is impossible. Do we have an economy. Only mtn will prove to us that we can not pass South Africa. Income from dstv and mtn alone will match Nigeria. We keep deceiving ourselves and childrenYou really don't have a clue what you're doing with your life yea?..... Pitiful |
chucky234: We have heard that severally in the past 20 years but SA economy keep growing why the Nigeria economy has remain nothing but the opposite, imagine those chronic goons called politicians looting our nation dry yet makes mockery of the masses.Fcukery!!! Total fuckery, the hate some of you have for politicians and government officials will blind any and every good thing or progress achieved by them. Keep staying at some cyber cafe day in- day out waiting for someone to enrich your own bank account with "your money" . Sigh... You guys need to chill, some of you talk as if these people don't earn salaries and good ones as at that. Keep blaming the government and waiting for them and you will never leave your poverty strick'n life. |
Fogman: How do we prove this to the ordinary man on the street, with less than $1 to feed for a day. There is no one like that!!!!! Jeez! |
ochukoccna: ExactlyDunno what you mean by "ordinary man" but it is definitely reflecting on people; the entertainment industry, buisness sector, private sector etc. See this; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KnXCfCA0p9A%22 |
ghboy: -----------------Please tell that to someone who actually cares.... Accra tho? Accra is just as good as Ph or calabar but Lagos?.... Nahh, you need to chill |
ghananotnaija: Shut up you have never even been to Accra and you have no idea what you're talking about. Don't even compare Accra and this dump you call Lagos. It amounts to blasphemy.LOOOOOL wait wait wait.... Lagos is what!? compared to what now? .... B!tch please sit \__ Some of you live in so much denial yo ! Too deep |
The Writer: Are you kidding me? Seriously? You fill up the place with hotels and malls and more hotels. How many of these (aptly named) "rare" things are accessible to the common man living in a face-me-I-face-you roomExcept thats not the common man you gave in your example but the working class/unemployed man. Besides there were less pictures of malls and hotels than there were roads, streets, skylines, lakes, etc |
Orikinla: Thank you jare.Sigh.... |
BlackEmperorX: The beauty of science and technology is that it nurtures creativity. This is the driver of the new future. A more vibrant business sector for more employment which in turns as you explain strengthens your already business focused society.Yea, like i said before; i totally get your point and where you're driving at nevertheless my point is some of the countries which aren't listed here have not had that scientific breakthrough; same as Nigeria. |
Including Iran in that list means you are actually ignorant about what science and engineering. As for Rossik, dude pls get a life.. Innoson, Zinox You should know there is a difference between science, manufacturing and assembling.
Ignorant? please educate me... I'm yet to be convinced. |
BlackEmperorX: You gotta create the interest!! The private sector can only do so much especially when their is zero efforts by the FG to evolve this industry. FG has a duty to invest in a better future for its ppl especially the young. Where is the inspiration and ambition to reach the stars. America went to the moon. Why can't NigeriaI totally get your point but I'm sure the government is doing what it can to generate interest in science thats why we still have government run research centers in Nigeria. The thing is Nigeria is basically a business driven country thats why the government and the people concentrate so much on the Business sector and that's why our business sector is flourishing. The entertainment industry is an example that we really don't need the FG to increase the standards and level of our various industry. its basically the people's interest; The government would rather sponsor an event that would promote culture, business or entertainment than that of sending a Nigerian to the moon (Frankly I don't know what exactly we want from the moon). |
I'm amazed that you do seemed to have the capacity to understand issues yet, tend to want to be just a contrarian for the sake of being one most if not all of the time! Please the list of archivements is embarrassing for a Nation of close to 200million people and insisting Naija is perfect the way it is now is carrying on the job of those drum beaters and street dancers after military coup of years past!! They danced and beat drums because they actually sincerely believed they were on the right...as you do sincerely believe you are too! Sincere people can and often are sincerely wrong in their view too! No, nigeria is not pulling it's weight when it comes to science and scientific development and advancement! One single individual American can do all of those things you just listed in their backyard and not inform his neighbours about it...it's not a big deal! Have you noticed how you jumped from issue of scitific weight of a Nation to that of business awards for a company and abusing the individual who disagreed with you?? I do however find this forms of behaviours to be rather interesting...indeed. lol
LAWLL!!!....."One single individual American can do all of those things you just listed in their backyard and not inform his neighbours about it...it's not a big deal" A single American can build a car like Innoson does in their backyard? A single American can build a satellite and launch it into space in their backyard? A single American can build computers like Zinox does in his/her backyard? and wait thats not all, nobody cares...."it's not a big deal!" but are you even alright this guy, the people who did any of those things are the richest Americans today; Bill gates, Michael Dell and the rest. The way some of you worship Americans though.....sigh, its pitiful. |
BlackEmperorX: @OP---Good topic to discuss. This is one of the greatest mistakes Nigerians make when they don't hold their political leaders responsible for this alone. How do you expect to improve your standard of living?oh my God!!!!, whats with you guys and politicians....If you haven't noticed Nigeria is doing well in the banking/Business sector, the entertainment industry and so fort. I don't think we owe that to our political leaders. The private sector has a lot to offer, it just depends on the interests of the people. |
Thas all.
its funny how you believe for sure that Nigeria's scientific institutions are operating below par compared to all the other countries I believed should have made the list (if we had to go by that list) but didn't. I won't be over optimistic and say Nigeria is that country with a whole lot of interest in science but i just can't come to terms with what exactly this rating is based on which oh!, they don't even tell us -___- |
Does Nigeria have a functional research center like center for Biological research? Cuz all the countries you mentioned have it.
Nigerian Institute of Medical research in Lagos and Nigerian Institute for pharmaceutical development in Abuja. I hope these satisfy your requests and i dont believe a scientific research center is all that is needed to make a county more "science enthusiastic" if you may. |
A lot of Nigerians are in serious denial.
Nahh some of us just don't eat any crap thats fed to us just cause the spoon is clean. |
If for some reason i believed this report for one sec, I'll like to know what countries like Cuba, Barbados, Iraq, Iran, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Thaliand amognst many others produce or develop that makes them "non-lagging" science countries . |
A Yoruba girl sell Nkwobi?! lol.. Shes got jokes.. https://data.whicdn.com/images/19887024/bjef5i_large.gif
She is from Delta state -_- |
razznaija: Aww she looks so pretty, she had better marry an equally handsome man to match her looks so that her children will come out looking like angels. Can you people give the marriage thing a rest already .... |
goldfish80: They are on α different level, they dedicated their chastisim to God. SmhNot so different , and who exactly are you to judge abgani though ? Like you rented out a space in heaven. I just get amused at most of you that preach complete and utter rubbish |
Personally, i totally endorse the governments move to grant Biko haram amnesty with the hope that it will forever halt the activities of boko haram. I don't know why some people want more and more blood to be shed; those JTF members fighting boko haram have families am we have already lost too many souls ( both good and bad) . As long the amnesty will bring peace, i totally supports the movement and so do many other Nigerians. |
goldfish80: On judgement day, present it to God like this.Smh.... This why Christianity is the oppiate of the masses according to Karl Marx. I never said its wrong but i believe the God you serve and I serve would understand and would not hold back a righteous woman into his kingdom just cause she didnt get married. What exactly would you say about Rev sisters of the Catholic Church? Are they all going t hell just cause they didnt get married? |
cap28: no one outside nigeria gives a sh.it about this world bank lap dog, thats why the western press cut her out of the picture.Ermm no one outside Nigeria gives a Bleep? Aii g She's still the 82nd most influential woman in the world....hope you can now see that you're not factor... |
brownlord: Which kind market women in the submit be this one, na who send them go there, hw dem take reach there, which market dem dey represent, my mama don dey sale for oshodi market since how many yrs, hw come she no dey there, abeg make una park well, abeg hw i fit take get access to any of this world bank thief woman female pekin or grand pekin make the oyel money still reach my side naThis one is definitely dying poor |
Wadosky: "And what shall it profit a man to gain the whole world and lose his own soul"What shall it profit to be broke and non-influential on earth and still go to hell!! |
All I heard was she promoting her book and things that didn't relate to the question.
