EPISODE FOUR
The Hidden Door

The storm returned three nights later.
Power failed across the building.
Darkness swallowed the lodge completely.
Then came the knocking again.
Louder this time.
Violent.
Daniel grabbed a torchlight and stepped into the corridor, trembling.
Room 14 stood before him.
Waiting.
Suddenly, the door creaked slightly open by itself.
Daniel’s heartbeat nearly stopped.
Inside, the room smelled rotten.

Dust covered everything.
But there, behind the wardrobe, he discovered something impossible.
A hidden door.

His hands shook violently as he opened it.
Then, the torchlight revealed human bones.
Daniel stumbled backwards in horror.
And beside the skeleton lay an old suitcase containing:
money,
photographs, and documents exposing powerful men connected to murder and political corruption.

Daniel finally understood.
Victor Osaro had not disappeared.
He had been silenced.
And whoever killed him believed the secret remained buried forever.
Until now.

While Others Drove Past, Police Officers Stopped To Save A Dying Man In The Rain

‭Psalm 150:6 KJV‬
[6] Let every thing that hath breath Praise the LORD. Praise ye the LORD.

In a time when many Nigerians question whether humanity still exists on our roads, something remarkable happened today along the Nassarawa Eggon–Akwanga Road in Nasarawa State.

At about 5:12pm on May 27, 2026, a Black Toyota Camry with registration number ABC-327-MQ was involved in a lone accident during heavy rainfall. The impact reportedly flung the driver, Suleiman Hamidu popularly known as “Durbi,” completely out of the vehicle, leaving him helpless and lying in his own blood by the roadside.

Eyewitness accounts indicate that several vehicles reportedly passed the scene in the rain without stopping to help.

But then came a team of police officers attached to the Threat Response Unit of the Nigeria Police Force National Cybercrime Centre (NPF-NCCC), returning from official assignment from Otukpo, Benue State to Abuja, led by CSP Ayuba Nehemiah.

Despite the dangerous weather and difficult conditions, the officers immediately stopped and rushed to save the victim.

Without hesitation, CSP Ayuba Nehemiah and his team personally arranged for a Keke NAPEP to evacuate the badly injured man to the General Hospital, Nassarawa Eggon.

On arrival at the hospital, CSP Ayuba Nehemiah identified himself to medical personnel and immediately paid from his personal pocket for the victim’s preliminary emergency medical treatment to ensure doctors commenced urgent intervention without delay.

Even after ensuring treatment had started, the police officer did not simply walk away. He contacted the DPO of Nassarawa Eggon Division, Ashi Musa, to ensure proper police intervention and support, while also alerting the FRSC to deploy personnel for traffic management and accident control to prevent further tragedy on the rain-soaked highway.

The officers further traced and contacted the victim’s daughter, Aisha Nana, informing the family about the unfortunate incident and his condition.

As at the time of this report, the victim is stable and receiving treatment.

This is policing beyond uniforms and sirens.

This is humanity in action.

This is service before self.

While others reportedly drove past a wounded man abandoned in the rain, officers of the Threat Response Unit of the Nigeria Police Force National Cybercrime Centre stopped, rescued him, paid for his emergency treatment, and ensured he was not left alone to die.

Sometimes, the true strength of policing is not measured by force, but by compassion.

Tonight, one Nigerian is alive because some police officers chose humanity over indifference.

EPISODE THREE
What Happened in Room 14

Obsession slowly consumed Daniel.
Sleep disappeared.
Fear became curiosity.
Curiosity became a danger.
He eventually bribed the lodge’s oldest worker for information.
The old man spoke reluctantly.
Years earlier, a businessman named Victor Osaro had stayed in Room 14 for one week before disappearing mysteriously.
Police investigated.
Nothing was found.
But afterwards, strange things began happening.
Guests reported: whispers,
moving shadows,
midnight knocks,
and voices begging for help.
Soon, nobody agreed to stay near Room 14 anymore.
Daniel listened carefully.
Then, he asked the question nobody wanted answered.
Was the body ever found?”
The old man remained silent.
That silence terrified Daniel more than any ghost story.
Because deep inside him, he already knew.
Something had never left Room 14.

Lagos Police Neutralize 4 Members of Ladipo Billionaire Gang Linked to 2024 Kidnappings; Recovers Car, Assault Rifle, others

‭Psalm 150:6 KJV‬
[6] Let every thing that hath breath Praise the LORD. Praise ye the LORD.

The battle against violent crimes in Lagos recorded another major turning point in the month of May 2026 as operatives of the Lagos State Police Command under the leadership of the Commissioner of Police, CP Fatai Tijani foiled a planned kidnapping operation in Ejigbo, which involved the four (4) remaining members of the popular Ladipo Kidnap Gang of 2024 which specialized in abducting high-profile individuals and receiving millions of dollars as ransom. During the carefully executed operation, the four suspected members of the notorious abduction syndicate were killed in a fierce gun duel that underscored the growing sophistication of organised criminal networks targeting Nigeria’s commercial nerve centre, Lagos.

Addressing journalists which includes members of the National Association of Online Security News Publishers, NAOSNP during his May monthly press briefing at the Police Command Headquarters Ikeja, the Commissioner of Police, CP Fatai Tijani, described the operation as a major breakthrough in the Command’s sustained crackdown on violent crimes and trans-state criminal syndicates operating within Lagos and neighbouring states. According to the Police boss, the incident occurred on May 24, 2026, at about 9:30 p.m., following credible intelligence that a notorious kidnapping gang had concluded plans to abduct a prominent businessman around the Jakande Estate Gate area of Ejigbo.

Tijani disclosed that intelligence operatives had closely monitored the gang’s movements after receiving reports that members of the syndicate had arrived in Lagos specifically to execute the operation. “The gang was targeting a popular businessman,” the CP said. “Based on intelligence gathered, operatives moved strategically to the scene before the criminals could strike.”

The Lagos Commissioner of Police further revealed that the suspected gang leader, identified simply as Ifeanyi, alias “Ifeko,” was believed to have trained Henry Asoona, the alleged leader of the billionaire kidnap syndicate neutralised by Police operatives at Ladipo International Spare Parts Market in 2024. Investigations also revealed that Ifeko, who is reportedly based abroad, recently sneaked into the country to coordinate the failed operation.

According to CP Fatai Tijani, the suspects opened fire immediately they sighted the police team, leading to an intense exchange of gunfire.

The operatives responded with superior firepower,” Tijani stated, adding that four members of the gang were neutralised on the spot while another suspect escaped with gunshot wounds.

Recovered from the scene were one Toyota Sienna vehicle, one AK-47 rifle with two magazines loaded with 25 rounds of live ammunition, one submachine gun with a magazine containing 12 rounds of live ammunition, as well as Toyota Corolla and Lexus vehicle keys believed to be connected to previous operations.

The Police, however, recorded one casualty on the side of law enforcement as an Inspector sustained gunshot injuries on his left leg during the exchange.

The injured officer was immediately rushed to hospital and is reportedly responding to treatment.

Tijani assured Lagosians that efforts were ongoing to track down the fleeing suspect and dismantle every cell connected to the syndicate.

He reiterated the Command’s resolve to sustain intelligence-led policing and warned criminal elements that Lagos would remain hostile terrain for kidnappers, armed gangs, and other violent offenders.

The Voice Behind the Wall

The next morning, Daniel asked questions.
Nobody answered comfortably.
The cleaners avoided eye contact whenever Room 14 was mentioned. One tenant even crossed himself quietly before leaving the corridor.

Only an old woman outside the lodge finally spoke.

That room is cursed,” she whispered.
Daniel almost laughed.
But the fear in her eyes stopped him.
Later that night, the knocking returned.

Three knocks.
Again.

This time, it was followed by something worse.
A voice.

Help me

Daniel froze in bed.
The voice sounded weak. Desperate.
Human.

Slowly, he stepped into the corridor.
The hallway was empty.
But beneath the door of Room 14, light flickered faintly.
And then Daniel noticed something terrifying.
The padlock outside the room was covered in dust.
Nobody had opened it in years.
Yet someone was inside.

In swift response to the recent security concerns emerging out of Ikorodu and its environs over the nefarious activities of some criminal elements that are tormenting places such as Ijede, Ginti, among others, the Lagos Commissioner of Police, CP Fatai Tijani personally led a major show of Force across different part of Ikorodu to assert the dominance of the Police and other security agencies to thwart any crimes in the areas.

This show of Force was also accompanied by the Inauguration of a special tactical security outfit codenamed 'Command Sweepers' Squad,' which is a temporary intervention security outfit created to address the growing incidents of crimes and criminality within Ikorodu and adjoining areas, comprising of Command Tactical Teams, RRS, Lagos Taskforce, Eko Strike Force, 2 PMF, 22 PMF, and 63 PMF of the Lagos Police Command, alongside personnel from other sister security agencies and members of the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF), all working collaboratively to combat and stamped out criminality within Ikorodu and its environs. The Squad has been strategically deployed to identify black spots and criminal hideouts to carry out intelligence-led operations, raids, stop-and-search duties, and confidence-building patrols aimed at flushing out criminal elements and ensuring the safety of lives and property.

Top among the security equipment deployed for the show of force and the temporary Inaugurated 'Command Sweepers' Squad' are the three (3) newly refurbished Armoured Personnel Carriers which were just handed over to the Lagos State Police Command by the Lagos State Security Trust Fund, LSSTF as well as Patrol vehicles.

He warned all criminally minded persons in Ikorodu and its environs to immediately pack their bags because his Command will not hesitate to decisively deal with them. Noting that the Command wasn't resting on its oars, he revealed that the Squad will continue to patrol all nooks and corners in its bid to flush out all crimes and vices from the area.

He noted that this valuable information will enable the Police to effectively tackle crime and restore public confidence within the area. He also thanked the Executive Secretary/CEO of LSSTF, Dr Ayo Ogunsan for the logistics support including the 3 APCs which have enjoyed immediate deployment.

The Squad is strategically situated in Ijede to ensure swift deployment and easy access to all parts of Ikorodu and adjoining communities for effective crime prevention and rapid response operations.

Hands over newly refurbished Armoured Personnel Carriers (APCs)

‭Psalm 150:6 KJV‬
[6] Let every thing that hath breath Praise the LORD. Praise ye the LORD.

The Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF) has reinforced its reputation as one of Nigeria’s most impactful public-private security intervention institutions with the handing over of three Armoured Personnel Carriers (APCs) to the Lagos State Police Command. The latest presentation underscores the commitment of the Lagos State Government and the leadership of the LSSTF towards sustaining a proactive and well-equipped security architecture capable of responding effectively to evolving security realities. This intervention will significantly contribute to improving security operations in Lagos, widely regarded as Nigeria’s economic nerve centre and West Africa's economic hub.

Over the years, the LSSTF has played a pivotal role in supporting security agencies including the Nigeria Police through the provision of operational vehicles, communication gadgets, protective equipment, surveillance infrastructure, logistics support, and continuous capacity-building initiatives. This strategic move is aimed at strengthening operational efficiency and improving rapid response capabilities of the Nigeria Police Force across the state.

Speaking during the handing-over, the Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, CP Fatai Tijani, commended the Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF) under the leadership of the Executive Secretary/CEO, Dr. Ayodele Ogunsan for what he described as an impactful and strategic intervention that would greatly enhance operational mobility and tactical response across the state. “The LSSTF has just donated three APCs in order to enhance operational capacity. This is a good one because it is one of the resources that we need to enhance our efficiency,” the Lagos Commissioner of Police stated.

According to him, the newly presented Armoured Personnel Carriers would significantly improve the Command’s ability to respond swiftly to security situations across difficult terrains and high-risk locations. “We can move to every nook and corner with this Armoured Personnel Carrier to combat any crime,” CP Tijani added.

Also speaking, the Director of Administration of the Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF), Mr. Degbola Lewis representing the Executive Secretary/CEO, Dr. Ayodele Ogunsan, explained that the presentation aligns with the core mandate of the Fund to continually support security agencies with critical operational tools and logistics necessary for effective policing and public safety management.

“This is in furtherance of our mandate to provide equipment, logistics, and training to security agencies in order to enhance security in Nigeria,” Lewis stated.

He noted that the LSSTF remains committed to working closely with security agencies in identifying and addressing their operational needs through strategic interventions and sustained institutional support.

“There is a need for us to ensure that we provide adequate equipment for them. We also work in conjunction with the security agencies to determine what they require,” he added.

The handover of the three APCs is expected to further boost the operational readiness of the Lagos State Police Command, particularly in rapid deployment, patrol operations, emergency response, and tactical interventions across the state.

Beyond the hardware itself, the gesture reflects a broader institutional understanding that effective security operations require continuous investment, strategic partnerships, and sustained support for frontline personnel tasked with protecting lives, infrastructure, and economic activities in Lagos State.

Other senior officers present during the handover ceremony includes; Deputy Commissioner of Police, DC Operations, DCP Lawal Adeshina; Deputy Commissioner of Police, DC Admin, DCP Khan Salihu; Assistant Commissioner of Police, AC Operations, ACP Ehindero Lawrence; AC FID, ACP Jayeoba and Commander, RRS Lagos, CSP Shola Jejeloye.

The Nigeria Police Force, through the Force Intelligence Department–Intelligence Response Team (FID-IRT), has arrested one John Cosmos Govi, over his involvement in a case of criminal conspiracy, housebreaking, administering suspected harmful substances, malicious damage to property, and theft involving the robbery of luxury items and valuables from a residence in Abuja.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the suspect, who reportedly trained at a catering school in Cotonou, Benin Republic, secured employment as a chef within the residence after establishing contact with two accomplices identified as Peter and Moses, both currently at large. Findings indicate that the suspect carefully studied the routine, movements, and security structure of the residence before executing the operation on 23rd April 2026.

Further investigations established that food prepared within the residence was laced with a suspected sedative substance intended to incapacitate the occupants and security personnel. After the substance took effect, the suspect facilitated the entry of his accomplices into the residence, where the gang vandalised the CCTV monitoring system, ransacked the apartment, and carted away cash alongside twenty luxury wristwatches valued at approximately One Hundred and Fifty Million Naira (₦150,000,000).

Operatives of the FID-IRT subsequently intercepted the suspects while attempting to flee through the Gwagwalada axis en route Lagos. During the operation, an iPhone 17 Pro Max belonging to the victim was recovered alongside a suspected chemical substance, which has since been forwarded for forensic analysis.

The Nigeria Police Force remains committed to combating criminal activities and ensuring that all persons involved in organised crimes are brought to justice.

The New Tenant

Rain poured heavily across Lagos the night Daniel Coker moved into Crescent Lodge.
The building stood quietly between two ageing structures along a dimly lit street in Surulere. Nothing about it looked welcoming. The walls carried old water stains, the corridor lights flickered constantly, and the narrow staircase smelled faintly of damp wood and cigarette smoke.

But Daniel needed somewhere cheap.
Somewhere temporary.
Somewhere, nobody knew him.
The middle-aged receptionist barely looked up while handing him a key.
Room 12,” the man muttered lazily.
Daniel nodded and reached for his bag.
Then he noticed it.
Room 14.

The door stood at the far end of the corridor upstairs, slightly different from the others. Darker. Older. Almost untouched.
And for some strange reason, Daniel could not stop staring at it.

You don’t need to concern yourself with that room,” the receptionist suddenly said.

Daniel looked back at him.
Why?”
The man hesitated briefly.
No reason.”
But his face said otherwise.
That night, Daniel barely slept.
At exactly 2:14 a.m., he heard it.

Three knocks.
Slow.
Deliberate.

Coming from Room 14.

Christianity EtcAlice Bailey's 10-Point New Age Agenda Explained by Godspowerpro(op): 11:47am On May 25
The "10-Point New Age Charter" is widely attributed to the esoteric writings of Theosophist Alice Bailey.

‭Psalm 150:6 KJV‬
[6] Let every thing that hath breath Praise the LORD. Praise ye the LORD.

Note: While these 10 points are commonly circulated as a "charter" or "plan" by New Age critics and supporters alike, they were not published as a single document by Bailey; rather, they have been compiled by followers and analysts from her extensive esoteric writings.

Often referred to as her "10-Point Plan," it represents an alleged strategy to reshape traditional societal structures, particularly by reducing Christian influence to make way for New Age philosophies.

The widely circulated 10 points outline social, cultural, and institutional shifts:

1. Remove GOD from Education: Eliminate religious influence from schools to shape a global worldview.

2. Reduce Parental Authority: Allow institutions and the state to increasingly guide the upbringing of children.

3. Destroy the Traditional Family: Dismantle the traditional Judeo-Christian family structure.

4. Legalize and Simplify Abortion: Promote easy access to abortion and destigmatize free sex.

5. Make Divorce Easy: Eliminate the social stigma of lifelong marriage and make separation simple.

6. Normalize Homosexuality: Promote same-sex relationships as part of the human evolutionary process.

7. Debase Art and Culture: Encourage modern, avant-garde, and unconventional cultural expressions.

8. Use Media: Utilize mass communication to broadcast and shape a new global consciousness.

9. Create an Interfaith Movement: Foster religious syncretism to eventually form a one-world global religion.

10. Enlist Government/Church Endorsement: Influence political and religious leaders to adopt these societal shifts.

Recover 5 Stolen Vehicles

GODSPOWERPROJECT

Operatives of the Lagos State Command have recorded a major success in the fight against car theft with the arrest of two suspected notorious members in the State.

In a press statement e-signed and released to the National Association of Online Security News Publishers, NAOSNP by the Command's Spokesperson, SP Abimbola Adebisi stated that, "Operatives of the Command have recorded a major breakthrough in the fight against car theft and robbery incidences with the arrest of two notorious members of a car-snatching syndicate and the recovery of five (5) suspected stolen vehicles."

According to the statement, "Following a report of car theft, operatives of the Command embarked on a painstaking intelligence-led investigation. Through the deployment of technical and tactical intelligence, the stolen Toyota Camry 2008 model was recovered at the point of re-registration, leading to the unravelling and subsequent arrest of a criminal syndicate involved in vehicle theft. Preliminary investigation revealed that the syndicate operates within Lagos State while concealing and disposing of stolen vehicles in Ibadan, Oyo State, and Ilorin, Kwara State."

"In the course of the investigation, operatives traced and arrested one Segun Olawuwo ‘m’, 58 years, in Ibadan, Oyo State, where another suspected stolen Toyota Corolla 2008 model was recovered from him. Further investigation and interrogation led to the arrest of two other members of the syndicate identified as Femi Afolabi ‘m’, 53 years, and Sunday Ugbomudia ‘m’, 53 years, in Ilorin, Kwara State. One Toyota Camry 2008 model and one Toyota Corolla 2006 model, both identified as stolen vehicles, were recovered from the suspects. Their arrest further led to the recovery of another stolen Toyota Camry 2012 model earlier sold to an unsuspecting buyer in Ibadan."

"The suspects confessed to their involvement in a series of car-snatching and robbery operations within and outside Lagos State. Efforts have been intensified to apprehend other fleeing members of the syndicate and recover more stolen vehicles linked to the gang."

GODSPOWERPROJECT

The second and final day of the May 2026 edition of the Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF) Statewide Inter-Agency Training Programme for Security Operatives concluded on Thursday 21st May; with the presentation of certificates to participants and special recognition for outstanding punctuality and commitment displayed during the exercise.

The two-day intensive programme, which forms part of the LSSTF’s broader institutional capacity development initiative, brought together security operatives from various law enforcement, emergency management, paramilitary, and safety agencies serving across Lagos State. The training focused on strengthening professionalism, emotional intelligence, ethical standards, public diplomacy, wellness consciousness, financial management, and inter-agency collaboration in responding to contemporary security challenges.

Representing the Executive Secretary/CEO of LSSTF, Dr. Ayodele Ogunsan, the Director of Administration, Mr. Adegbola Lewis, reiterated that the training initiative reflects the Fund’s commitment to sustained capacity building rather than isolated interventions.

According to him, modern security realities require agencies to work together through intelligence sharing, coordinated responses, and mutual institutional understanding in order to maintain public confidence and ensure safer communities.

A major highlight of the training was a comprehensive five-module lecture delivered by Dr. Wale Adeagbo, Director of Security Risk Advisory, Consulting, and Education at Halogen Group, titled “Enhancing Professional Capacity, Ethical Standards and Inter-Agency Collaboration for Effective Security Operation.”
The structured five-module training outline focused on strengthening ethical standards for security operations, operational leadership for effective security, performance and operation management, inter-agency collaboration and Stakeholders' management in security operations, across multiple agencies within Lagos.

In his presentation, Dr. Adeagbo emphasized the urgent need for security personnel and institutions to continuously improve their professional standards and operational coordination in response to increasingly sophisticated security threats confronting modern urban societies.

According to him, effective security operations can no longer rely solely on force projection or isolated institutional efforts, but must increasingly be driven by ethical professionalism, strategic collaboration, accountability, emotional intelligence, communication, and public trust. He stressed that in a rapidly evolving security environment such as Lagos, the ability of agencies to work together seamlessly would remain critical to safeguarding lives, protecting infrastructure, and sustaining public confidence.

Addressing a major area of concern for the general public in the relationship with security agencies, Dr. Adeagbo educated the security operatives on the ways to improve citizens experience. He noted that the 'first step is to have a clear citizens-focused vision that you can communicate with your community. The easiest way to define this vision is to create a set of statements that act as guiding principles. Secondly, Understand who your citizens are. Security agencies need to be able to connect and empathize with the situations that people face. Third, Create an emotional connection with the citizens - You’ve heard the phrase “it’s not what you say; it’s how you say it”?'

Further, he said: 'Capture citizens’ feedback in real time
You need to ask - And ideally you do this by capturing feedback in real time. Fifth, Use a quality framework - using a performance dashboard with metrics. And finally, Measure the ROI, how do you know if all this investment in the security of your communities are working and paying off? The answer is in the results – impact and outcome', Adeagbo educated.

At the closing session, participants who successfully completed the training were presented with certificates in recognition of their participation and commitment to continuous professional development. In a move aimed at encouraging discipline, punctuality, and professionalism among personnel, Ten (10) officers who consistently arrived early for the two (2) days training sessions were also specially rewarded with cash gifts of Fifty Thousand (50,000) Naira each.

The gesture drew commendation from participants and underscored the Lagos State Security Trust Fund’s emphasis on discipline, dedication, and positive institutional culture as critical components of effective security operations.

GODSPOWERPROJECT

Plans have been unveiled for the funeral of renowned sickle cell advocate, humanitarian, nonprofit leader, and founder of the Sickle Cell Advocacy and Management Initiative (SAMI), Toyin Ibidunni Adesola, fondly remembered across Nigeria’s healthcare advocacy community as the Sickle Cell General.

The Adesola Family and SAMI announced that a Service of Songs and Night of Tribute will hold on Thursday, June 4, 2026, at The Lekki Coliseum (TLC), Lekki Phase One, Lagos, beginning from 4:30 p.m., while the funeral service is scheduled for Friday, June 5, 2026, at the same venue by 10:00 a.m.

In the spirit of uniting people under a cause which Toyin championed in her lifetime, the family and SAMI encourages guests attending the tribute night to appear in aso ebi or with a touch of deep red to honor her life of service and impact. For the funeral service, attendees can wear a touch of deep green with gold gele or fila in honour of the late advocate’s life and legacy.

Toyin Adesola, who passed on May 11, 2026, at the age of 60, was widely regarded as one of Nigeria’s most influential voices in sickle cell advocacy. Through SAMI, the organisation she founded, she championed awareness campaigns, psychosocial support initiatives, genotype education, counseling, and healthcare advocacy for persons living with sickle cell disorder.

She also served as the longest-serving Chairman of the Coalition of Sickle Cell NGOs, where she played a leading role in uniting advocacy groups and amplifying national conversations around sickle cell care, inclusion, and public enlightenment.

Over the years, her resilience, compassion, and tireless commitment to humanity earned her admiration across civil society, the medical community, and humanitarian circles, with many affectionately referring to her as the Sickle Cell General.

The family further disclosed that condolence registers have been opened at the SAMI Centre in Surulere, Lagos, where partners, friends, and well-wishers can also obtain details regarding the aso ebi for the tribute event. Also, they have opened an online tribute page - https://www.forevermissed.com/toyin-ibidunni-adesola?short_code=VYyz5Nlp - for people to share their memories.

Modern Security Threats Require Coordinated, Institutional Responses - Ogunsan • as LSSTF Holds 3rd Statewide Inter-Agency Training for Security Operatives

GODSPOWERPROJECT

The growing complexity of Nigeria’s security environment including recent happenings within the Southwest geopolitical zone has brought to the fore the consistent need for stronger institutional collaboration, emotional intelligence, ethical professionalism, and continuous retraining among frontline security personnel. This formed the priority focus of the Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF) as it convened the Third edition of its 2-Day Statewide Inter-Agency Training Programme for Security Operatives from Wednesday-Thursday 20-21 May 2026, drawing senior officers, security operatives, policymakers, and experts from across Lagos in a renewed push to strengthen the operational readiness of security and safety agencies serving in the state.

The LSSTF Inter-Agency Training Programme, now in its third edition, will equip over 1,000 security operatives drawn from all security and safety agencies serving in Lagos State between March and December 2026. Beyond the speeches, the programme reflected the evolving recognition that the future of security operations in Lagos will depend not merely on force projection, but on professionalism, empathy, institutional synergy, ethical conduct, and the ability of security personnel to earn and sustain public trust.

Held under the theme, “Enhancing Professional Capacity, Ethical Standards and Inter-Agency Collaboration for Effective Security Operations,” the training programme underscored the conviction of the LSSTF leadership led by the Executive Secretary/CEO, Dr. Ayodele Ogunsan that modern security threats such as evolving criminal patterns, kidnappings, public distrust, and urban pressures demands active, coordinated, intelligence-driven, and people-oriented security operations anchored on professionalism, collaboration, and public trust.

The third edition of the LSSTF Inter-Agency Statewide Training Programme attracted senior officers and participants from various security and emergency management agencies across Lagos. Among dignitaries in attendance were the Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, CP Fatai Tijani represented by Assistant Commissioner of Police, ACP Oluwatoyin Kazeem; Commander, NNS Beecroft, Commodore Aiwuyor Adams-Aliu represented by Commander Oka Bassey Otu; Director of Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, Mrs. Margaret Abimbola Adeseye represented by Amodu Shakiru; Corps Marshal of LAGESC/KAI, Major Olaniyi Olatunbosun Cole (Rtd.); senior officers from participating security agencies; General Manager of Globus Training and Advisory Limited, Mr. Desmond Nnebue; and members of LSSTF management team.

Representing the Executive Secretary/CEO of LSSTF, Dr. Ayodele Ogunsan, the Director of Administration, Mr. Adegbola Lewis, declared during the opening ceremony that the security landscape confronting the country and the Southwest region in particular had become increasingly dynamic and interconnected, thereby making collaboration among agencies not only desirable but indispensable. “The importance of this training programme cannot be overstated,” Lewis said. “Recent incidents, including the disturbing rise in kidnappings involving innocent citizens and school children in neighbouring states, alongside other emerging security threats, have heightened public anxiety and raised legitimate concerns regarding the capacity of institutions to effectively anticipate, prevent, and respond to security challenges.”

According to Mr. Lewis, contemporary security realities demand coordinated operational planning, intelligence sharing, effective communication, mutual understanding of institutional mandates, and timely joint responses among agencies. “Security is no longer the responsibility of any single agency acting in isolation,” he stated. “Modern security threats are dynamic, interconnected, and often require coordinated responses that transcend institutional boundaries.”

Adegbola Lewis further explained that beyond improving individual competencies, the LSSTF training initiative was deliberately designed to deepen inter-agency cooperation, strengthen ethical standards, enhance professionalism, and foster the collaborative mindset required to address contemporary security challenges effectively. “As public expectations continue to rise, our collective ability to work together will determine not only operational success but also the confidence citizens place in our institutions,” he added.

The LSSTF Director of Administration also noted that the programme had incorporated modules on financial literacy and medical wellness, recognising that operational effectiveness is closely tied to the physical, emotional, and financial wellbeing of personnel.

The event featured robust interventions from security chiefs, facilitators, and subject experts who emphasized that security operations in a megacity like Lagos require not just tactical competence, but also emotional maturity, ethical conduct, and people-centered engagement.

Delivering remarks as Special Guest of Honour, the Corps Marshal of the Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps (LAGESC formerly known as KAI), Major Olaniyi Olatunbosun Cole (Rtd.), commended the Executive Secretary of LSSTF, Dr. Ogunsan for sustaining strategic support for security agencies, noting that the Fund had become a critical pillar in strengthening operational capacity across Lagos, “What you have built here is more than an institution, it is a lifeline for the safety architecture of Lagos State,” he stated. “Your commitment to equipping, funding, and sustaining our security apparatus has set a standard that speaks to vision, responsibility, and leadership.”

The Corps Marshal stressed that security and public wellbeing remain inseparable, noting that environmental disorder, illegal settlements, blocked drainage systems, abandoned structures, and sanitation failures often create fertile grounds for criminal activities. “You cannot have security without public wellbeing,” he said. “The safety of the public depends on the discipline, competence, and welfare of the men and women who serve on the frontlines.”

He further called for sustained investments in professionalism, collaboration, and sustainability across security institutions. “An officer who understands the people is more effective than one who only understands force,” Cole noted, while advocating stronger synergy between LSSTF, the Police, LASTMA, KAI, LNSA, and community-based security structures.

Representing the Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, ACP Oluwatoyin Kazeem charged participants to maximise the opportunity provided by the training. “I trust participants to use this opportunity to enrich their capacity, become more efficient and diligent in the discharge of their duties, and also use this avenue to enhance inter-agency collaboration,” he said.

She reiterated the commitment of the Lagos State Police Command to safer policing anchored on professionalism and integrity.

One of the keynote facilitators at the training, Professor Oka Martin Obono from the University of Ibadan delivered a thought-provoking intervention on emotional intelligence and financial management within the security services. He warned that many tragic confrontations between civilians and security personnel over the years stemmed from inadequate emotional management and insufficient capacity building. “This has to do with the reactions of security personnel to the elevated risk, stress, and anxiety that come with the kind of jobs they do,” he said.

Referencing historical incidents involving excessive use of force, he argued that security personnel often lack adequate training in emotional intelligence, empathy, self-awareness, self-regulation, conflict de-escalation, and social engagement. “You are with a gun, you are already extremely powerful,” he observed. “But they’ve not been exposed to emotional management, self-awareness, self-regulation, empathy, motivation, and social skills which are the five domains of emotional intelligence.”

The Professor who is Africa’s first Professor of Ethnodemography, Martin Obono also introduced participants to what he termed the “Life Project Approach” to personal finance and retirement planning. “A life project is when you examine your life not merely as something to be enjoyed, but something to be critically managed competently,” he explained.

According to him, officers must begin to think beyond monthly salaries and actively prepare for life after active service through disciplined financial management, integrity, investment planning, and long-term thinking. “What is the outcome of your income?” he asked rhetorically. “That is the vision we are going to pursue, an enjoyable lifestyle post-retirement that has nothing to do with bribery and corruption.”

Also speaking, General Manager of Globus Training and Advisory Limited, Mr. Desmond Nnebue, said the training had already begun yielding measurable results from the previous two editions held in March and April. According to him, pre-test and post-test evaluations conducted after earlier batches revealed “tremendous impact and improvement,” particularly in emotional intelligence, public diplomacy, ethical professionalism, and financial management among participants. “We want our officers and security agents to be more emotionally intelligent,” Nnebue stated. “We want inter-agency collaboration so that agencies no longer see themselves as rivals on the field.”

He stressed that ethical professionalism and public trust remain critical to effective policing and intelligence gathering. “When the public trusts security agencies, it becomes easier for citizens to volunteer information and support security operations,” he said.

Nnebue further emphasized that the LSSTF’s decision to sustain the training programme beyond a one-off intervention reflected a genuine commitment to institutional capacity development. “Lagos State Security Trust Fund is not interested in a one-off exercise,” he said. “There is a real and sustained commitment to building the capacity of the men and women who keep Lagos safe.”

On the health and wellness component of the training, Executive Director and Deputy Director of Clinical Services at Anantis Pediatric and Multispecialist Hospital, Dr. Diya Alade Oluwadamola, called attention to the often-overlooked physical and emotional wellbeing of security personnel. According to her, many officers silently grapple with stress-related health challenges that affect their professional and family lives.

“Our men are being ignored in many wellness conversations,” she noted. “Your spirit, your soul, your mind, and your body must come together in harmony to give you total health,” as she encouraged participants to prioritise routine medical checks, vaccination, healthier lifestyles, stress management, exercise, sleep, and dietary discipline.

Dr. Diya also commended Dr. Ayodele Ogunsan and the Lagos State Government for introducing a holistic dimension to security training that recognises the humanity of officers.

“I used to think security personnel were our enemies,” she admitted. “But these people are soft, caring, and human beings going through their own levels of stress.”

For Lagos, Nigeria’s commercial nerve centre and West Africa's economic hub, the message from the intensive training program is that modern security challenges demand security personnel who are equipped with continuous learning rich in emotional intelligence, discipline, consciousness about health and wellness, and a shared commitment to public service; not just equipped with constitutional authority and weaponry.

RECOVERS AK-47 RIFLE

GODSPOWERPROJECT

The Nigeria Police Force has recorded another operational breakthrough with the arrest of two suspects involved in a case of criminal conspiracy, kidnapping, armed robbery, and unlawful possession of firearms linked to a violent syndicate operating within Kaduna State and adjoining communities.

The suspects in custody, Yusuf Rabo and Musa Adamu, were arrested following investigations into the abduction of Alhaji Rabo Jelani. Investigations revealed that Yusuf Rabo conspired with Musa Adamu and Ali Haruna, the victim’s grandson who is currently at large, to abduct the elderly victim for ransom over claims that he possessed substantial wealth and livestock.

Further investigations established that the syndicate procured and deployed multiple AK-47 rifles for their operations, with Ali Haruna allegedly supplying one of the firearms belonging to his father, while additional weapons were sourced by other members of the gang. One AK-47 rifle with an empty magazine was recovered during the operation.

Findings revealed that the victim was abducted on separate occasions and taken to forest locations where ransom negotiations were coordinated by Yusuf Rabo himself. The first abduction reportedly yielded a ransom payment of Two Million Naira (₦2,000,000), while a subsequent operation generated Four Million Five Hundred Thousand Naira (₦4,500,000).

The syndicate has also been linked to other violent crimes within the area, including the kidnapping of a trader identified as Mr. Iyke and an armed robbery attack along the Kagoma axis during which commuters were dispossessed of cash and valuables.

Efforts are ongoing to apprehend the fleeing suspect, Ali Haruna, and recover additional weapons and exhibits connected to the crimes.

The Nigeria Police Force remains resolute in dismantling kidnapping and armed robbery networks across the country and assures members of the public of sustained intelligence-led operations against violent criminal groups.

NPF DISMANTLES TRANSNATIONAL HUMAN TRAFFICKING, FRAUD SYNDICATE, RESCUES 30 FOREIGN

GODSPOWERPROJECT

The Nigeria Police Force has recorded a major breakthrough in the fight against transnational organised crime following the dismantling of a human trafficking and fraudulent exploitation syndicate operating within the Federal Capital Territory and neighbouring communities. The operation led to the rescue of thirty (30) foreign nationals and the arrest of thirteen (13) suspects linked to the criminal network.

The suspects arrested include Abdul Ngaki, identified as the principal suspect and syndicate leader, alongside Fatimah Kulibali, Ahmad Kasango, Sidibe Musa, Muhammad Dembele, Saidu Traore, Ali Koulibaly, Abdul Ngeki, Ahmed Sirma, Laya Bando, Aisha Dembele, Abi Togo, and Awa Tesure.

Investigations commenced following intelligence concerning the disappearance of several foreign nationals within Nigeria under suspicious circumstances.

Preliminary findings revealed that the syndicate targeted vulnerable young persons from West African countries, particularly Mali and Gabon, with false promises of migration opportunities to Europe and lucrative employment in Nigeria.

Victims were induced to pay processing and transportation fees before being conveyed to residential locations in Mararaba and Karu, Nasarawa State, where they were held under exploitative and restrictive conditions.

Further investigations established that victims who could not meet additional financial demands were coerced into participating in staged kidnapping schemes orchestrated by the syndicate. Under the arrangement, victims were forced to contact relatives in their home countries while pretending to have been kidnapped, thereby compelling family members to remit ransom payments into accounts controlled by the syndicate.

Acting on credible intelligence, operatives of the Intelligence Response Team (IRT) conducted coordinated operations on 7th May 2026 at identified hideouts along Barrister Road, Rugan Dakachi, Nasarawa State, leading to the rescue of thirty (30) victims, all identified as Malian nationals, and the arrest of thirteen suspects directly connected to the operation.

The Nigeria Police Force its commitment to combating human trafficking, transnational organised crime, and all forms of exploitation, while assuring members of the public that all persons connected to the criminal network will be brought to justice.
