Unbelief robs the unbelievers of becoming beneficiaries of GOD'S agenda (murmurings of unbelief).

Only faithfilled people see the prophecies of GOD come to pass. It takes faith to experience fulfilment of prophecy.
It takes the hand of GOD to deliver any prophetic agenda.

Ife studied Dramatic Arts at the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, completing her NYSC at Zuma FM in Suleja, and continued her radio journey as a presenter through Gold FM in Ilesa and Metro FM in Lagos.
Since then millions of people have tuned in to hear Ife from all over Nigeria. Deji Obasa (GPP): What's a typical day like for you?

Ife Ajagbe: My typical day starts off as a broadcaster, actually, yes, cos I'm on the Breakfast show on Kennis104.1FM on Monday till Friday, so, l start off as a broadcaster in the morning and then at some point, l become the Head of Operations for Symphonic in West Africa. In between all of that, I'm a mom, a wife, a human being that needs to be well taken care of.
My typical day is basically, work, chilling when I can, and, that's it really.


DO: How do you feel recognized among women influencing music globally?

IA: In regards to influencing music globally, that seems like a big description of what I do. It's interesting, l feel good. I feel excited that I'm able to impact the industry quite well. I don't exactly feel special because I'm a woman really, l think its something that, primarily a service that a human being is rendering, so I'm not exactly sure that it becomes super special because I am a woman. I've seen a lot of women in the music industry, even in Nigeria, actually do very well. And I don't notice the fact that they have the kind of challenges that come with 'oh because I'm a woman'. I haven't personally had conversations with people that say 'oh because I'm a woman I'm not able to be an artiste manager or head of distro, or something in Nigeria'. I haven't seen people like that. I feel good as a human being, actually influencing music. The fact that I am a woman may be a plus, maybe some level of inspiration to some young girl out there that really wants to do things for herself, and might be in places or regions where she feels there might be some level of marginalization. No please just reach for it. Nothing is stopping you. Nothing at all.


DO: Growing up through education and career, did you envisage these heights?

IA: Growing up through education and career, no l don't think people actually, or maybe people envisage some particular heights, and I think for me specifically, I wasn't trying to get to specific heights. I was just trying to be useful, to be impactful. I just did what I loved, basically, I love music so much, that even though sometimes, artistes are not the nicest people, sometimes they are not, I really do not care. So even if you're not nice to me and your music is amazing, l will play your song on radio. That's how much I love music. I've at an early stage in my broadcast career decided that the artiste is one entity, the music is something else, so if you have true love for music, you just know that the artiste is only a creator of an art, so you could love the art and not like Van Gogh, or you know any of the biggest painters out there, but you could absolutely love the painting. So, you know, that's the thing, the moment you are able to do that, it doesn't get personal, you love the music, and you do a lot of things for the sake of the culture, for the sake of the music. For me, l wasn't trying to get to particular heights, l just followed what I loved to do and here I am.


DO: What is the secret to your career success?

IA: Well, I'm not exactly sure there's a particular secret to my career success, yes, thank you for calling it a success, but I'm not sure there's a particular secret to it. Because if you ask me, 'Ife how did you get here', I will tell you, I might not be able to tell you on radio or TV, but if you come to me personally and ask me, l will tell you, like oh, this was what I did to get to where I am now, so for me, I would just say, just go for whatever it is you want. That's what I do. So if I'm at a career level and I feel, 'ah you know what, it's time for a change, or time for a move, I simply move, I simply start doing things, taking little steps to move, or change where I am, or ask for more where I am, honestly, l know it sounds ridiculous, but it's as simple as that, so if you actually want more, go for more, so if for instance you are at a point in your life and you feel, 'oh, l should be heading a distro', just look out for the distro you want to head and reach out. Its just as easy as that. Yes, it could take time, of course, you need to prove your worth and all of that, but it is just wanting more. I think that's the secret to career success. You just get as much as you want. So if you want just a little, you get just a little, if you want more you get more. So you just go for it. That's what I would say for anyone that's looking at 'how do I scale up or get bigger', or go for more challenges. Or how do I earn more, just go for it, that's the secret, there's no big secret well kept somewhere, no, no.


DO: What do you consider most challenging project and how were you able to overcome?

IA: Well, l can't actually remember a most challenging project right now, because maybe I already did those things so they don't feel like a challenge anymore, but I know that one of the biggest challenge usually for broadcasters is so 'say you want to interview an artiste that is you know, like a million miles away from you in the world, and you're wondering, how do I go about this, you know contact this person, and I think that I have typically been able to hack that. I don't know how I got to that point, but you know, l then realized that people came to me to say 'oh, Ife we need the contact of this particular artiste, can you get it for us', I then became that person at some point in my career. So I think that's something I've been able to hack. What I basically do is make a list of priorities or artistes that I really want to interview, anybody at all, from Beyonce to whether it's JayZ, or anybody, any artiste at all in the world, and then, send emails to them. You know, look for them on socials, look for their managers or PR persons, it takes time. Send emails to them. So, say you have a list of 10/15 people, and you shoot out emails to them, at least 3/4 will respond, and you will not feel so bad because you actually shot into a pool, you didn't just say 'I just want Beyonce, and if its not Beyonce, I'm not doing this' so you then just shoot into a pool, and then you realize that you would actually catch some fish, and very good ones too at that. So I think, for me over the years, that's being one way that I've been able to connect with artistes, and been able to get as many quality interviews as possible. Also, basically I think you could just check any artist's social media, you would see their management contact there. Sometimes you could get a telephone number, it could be an email address, but for some regions, yes, they are not so email oriented. It means it takes a while, some people can respond to you after like a year, and say sorry, we were on tour or something. So you need to know how people behave in different regions also. That of course will take time, you will learn as you grow


DO: How do you balance personal and professional life?

IA: Ah well, so far so good, yes, I've not had situations where there's been major clashes, or maybe I've been working with amazing bosses, at least since maybe I got married, my boss Kenny Ogungbe is one of the most considerate people I know, and I do not take his 'consideration' for granted. He's amazing and also very professional. So he makes it easy to balance things, and then for my boss, Jorge (Brea), who is in the US, he also makes work quite easy. So for me, it's been a win-win. I do have very supportive family if I'm being fair, very supportive family that makes everything a walk in the park for me, so that makes the personal and professional life balanced and easier


DO: What's up with you and Celeb Stopover

IA: Hmm, Celeb Stopover, okay, Celeb Stopover has been rested, for now, Celeb Stopover is still my baby, and it's that show that the vision was for it to be syndicated, in practically all the radio stations in Nigeria, but that required money, requires a level of sponsorship, and while it was running on a number of radio stations actually, the production was solely funded by me. Then I thought, 'haa, you know what, let's rest this, and until we're able to get sponsors to actually invest in it'. So for now, it's still an idea that hasn't gone to die but it's been rested for now. For now.


DO: Discuss the highlights of Symphonic activities in Africa

IA: Symphonic is a digital music distribution service, that already had an office in South Africa, yes, and me being in Symphonic, is to serve the West African region, and we had very big existing clients, and we are also looking at getting onboard more clients, so far, we have actually made quite an impact. At least, if you do music, you cannot say that you have not heard about Symphonic, from one person or the other. And it's because I think that artistes have been able to sense that we truly truly care about their music, beyond the fact that we're definitely running a profitable business, but, it is primarily about the artiste, we're looking at value, it's not just that you're paying us to distribute your music, it's also what are we giving to you? Are we sure that the artist's professional health is wholesome, so that's why for instance, if you visit our website, you'll get resources on practically everything you need; I mean your starter pack as an artist. Say you wake up today and say I really don't know what to do as an artist, if you go to our website, you would know what to do. So that's how much information, resources we put into A&R, into artiste development. Things that will benefit the artist. Also we know that artistes that are just starting out might be low on funds, in regards to music promotion, so that's why we've designed the radio show 'HotSounds' so that as an artiste, you can get your song on radio and get airplay on 5 radio stations in West Africa, 4 in Nigeria, 1 in Sierra Leone. And of course we are excited about our amazing partners that have made this very possible. Its amazing, and also, we have been actually able to bring onboard more clients. I joined Symphonic in July 2023, and by now we do actually have a lot more people onboard
I've had people come to me and say 'oh, I noticed that you're with Symphonic and I'm definitely joining', and big shout-out to all of those people out there, that say 'because it's you Ife I can believe that Symphonic is a good thing for me', and we've also had partnerships with Music Business Masterclass organized by TeepSoul, that was quite impactful, also, we have a particular event coming up in Abuja. We'll keep you updated about that with more details. And there are a lot of activities going on, and a lot of partnerships going on, that we are working on. They are very beneficial partnerships. We've had partnerships with HitSound, Raw Vibes, different small creators from different parts of the country. Music producers, and all of that, so it's been a beehive of activities actually.


DO: What advice would you give your younger self?

IA: My advice to my younger self, wow, okay, i really don't have any fresh ideas for my younger self. I think I would look at my younger self and say you did well, so I don't think I'm going to give fresh advice out. I'll just say weldone you did well. I dont have anything to say to you but you did amazing, yea, I wouldn't change anything, about my childhood, about anything. I just love my journey. I take one step at a time. I'm not looking at the crowd and saying 'oh what are people saying or think'. Of course I'm a social being so what people think is important. But I just take one step at a time. Life is not that hard, really it's not.

“You created a full album, Full Moon Flex, with your Twitch community. What surprised you most about this collaborative process and how did it impact the final product?”

Tasha Baxter (TB):


“So I think what surprised us the most was that it actually became a 17 track album. And it was something that started during COVID, you know, and we were all just clinging onto something, each other, creation, music, you know, trying to survive what was a crazy time with COVID. And, you know, we were just shooting the shit really, and just, I was improv -ing live on Twitch and I invited my producer community to come and send me their tunes and then I’d like hit play and hear the tunes for the first time and then hit record on Ableton and then just sing or play guitar or play whatever. And then I would let them keep any of the stems that I recorded from that session. And of course it was on a full moon, hence the name full moon flex. So it was like a flex on a full moon.
And yeah, and so, you know, from that to then releasing an album and then to then starting Polyoto, the label. And another thing that came from that community was the band of Insanity Challenge that I did with my Discord server and Kill the Noises server, which later became one of our most awesome releases as Above So Below, which won Music Video of the Year at the Symphonic Awards. So yeah, what surprised us actually was that so much came from that time that we thought was a barren wasteland.”

(DB):
“I love that, that is so cool. I think it’s such a… like an innovative thing, like I’ve never seen something like that before.”

(TB):
“Yeah, it was. I mean, it shocked me. I was like, how am I? How is this actually happening? It’s pretty crazy.”

(DB):
“How long was the process?”

(TB):
“We had five full moon flexes. So one a month, obviously on a full moon.

And I think really only the last two flex, the last flexes, flex four and five is where most of the songs came from. And I think we finished that in about six weeks. So I then sat with each of the, the point was to kind of promote up and coming producers, you know? Not that I’m like flipping Kanye West or anything, but you know, I wanted to give them an opportunity.to be heard and I wanted to work together with these people who later became friends. And so once we’d got the gold from the live streams, because that’s the thing, it’s this weird like crazy serendipitous, you know, stars align. Every time I would have a full moon flex stream, it would rain. So there was always like rain and thunder and chaos outside. I would always have technical issues.which is really hard when you’re live on stream recording writing and like on the spot but yeah we we would then I sat down with all the producers we further produced the songs added whatever we needed to you know and then we had a body of work

And obviously a lot of the sort of, I mean, the whole theme of the album, it’s in the background, you can’t really see, but…

Each moon had a certain name, so like blood moon, wolf moon, sugar moon, whatever it was. And then we used those as, because it’s two records with each, with A and B sides. And those correspond with the moons. So there was a whole theme and then everyone had their star signs and I made little characters. I met with some incredible 3D artists. And then we made the actual like masks.of their star signs. And it was just like a whole weird world. And that I can really just go on and talk your ear off for like 10 hours. So let’s not go there too much. Yeah, it was an incredible feat. Very proud of like what we accomplished in a short space of time and made it this photo. I coined this phrase, photosonic time capsule, because it’s like an image and sonic this like memory and there it is like forever you know which is yeah thank you yeah.

No force is more powerful than obedience.

Everyone of these blessings is in response to simple obedience.

GOD'S direction and Glory is released in the direction of Obedience.

[5] His mother saith unto the servants, Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it.
[11] This beginning of miracles did Jesus in Cana of Galilee, and manifested forth his glory; and his disciples believed on him.

[6] But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
When faith and obedience are combined, there is an unlimited dimension of power made available in our direction.
Faith in action commits the integrity of GOD to perform.

[12] that ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.
[15] And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise. [16] For men verily swear by the greater: and an oath for confirmation is to them an end of all strife. Faith without works is dead. The power of faith is in our obedience.

[26] For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.
Power in faith comes alive by obedience.

[23] Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.

GOD does not enforce obedience on anyone, it is simply a choice that individuals make.

[19] I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:

Nothing and no one, not even the devil has power over our choice.
Our choice is made by us, and ultimately determines our lot.

No one can choose for you, not even GOD
Whosoever makes a choice to be saved is welcome into the Kingdom

Each man makes a choice to be saved.

Everyone's lot is determined by that man's choice

Our sanctification is a choice. GOD helps us after we have made our choice, but HE cannot help us to make our choice.

There is power in choice, no conspiracy in hell can stop a man's choice.

Obedience speaks louder than voice

[1] And as Jesus passed by, he saw a man which was blind from his birth.
[6] When he had thus spoken, he spat on the ground, and made clay of the spittle, and he anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay, [7] and said unto him, Go, wash in the pool of Siloam, (which is by interpretation, Sent.) He went his way therefore, and washed, and came seeing.
The instruction left him with a choice, and he came back seeing.

Obedience can be said to have a voice of its own

[31] Now we know that God heareth not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of God, and doeth his will, him he heareth.
‭Isaiah 65:24 KJV‬
[24] And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.

There are things we do not ask for, but obey into- when a man is taking steps in obedience, GOD is intervening in his affairs.
Prayer without obedience will be muted before GOD.
‭1 John 3:22 KJV‬
[22] And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.
Our greatest voice before GOD is the voice of our obedience.

Abraham never prayed for blessings, He only obeyed into blessings
The beginning of blessings was his obedience.

Every department of his life was saturated with blessings

It is not by singing but by obeying into the blessings of Abraham.

To experience Abrahamic order of blessings you have to follow Abrahamic order of Obedience.

GOD is a GOD of Covenant.

[22] While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.

Those who watch seasons miss seasons, but those who engage seasons harvest from the season.
When corn is coming out, if you don't engage the season, you'll pay for it.
You are either gaining or losing in seasons.

Obedience that works.
1. Fear free Obedience.

[1] There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and that man was perfect and upright, and one that feared God, and eschewed evil. Faith attracts GOD, but fear attracts the devil.
Fear is not an emotion it is a spirit

None of us will have fear terminate the result of our obedience in Jesus name.

2. Resolute and unwavering Obedience

[14] Nebuchadnezzar spake and said unto them, Is it true, O Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, do not ye serve my gods, nor worship the golden image which I have set up?
[28] Then Nebuchadnezzar spake, and said, Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, who hath sent his angel, and delivered his servants that trusted in him, and have changed the king's word, and yielded their bodies, that they might not serve nor worship any god, except their own God.
Their obedience provoked GOD'S intervention

[10] Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house; and his windows being open in his chamber toward Jerusalem, he kneeled upon his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God, as he did aforetime.
[23] Then was the king exceeding glad for him, and commanded that they should take Daniel up out of the den. So Daniel was taken up out of the den, and no manner of hurt was found upon him, because he believed in his God.
GOD steps in when men stay the course.

I Serve A Covenant Keeping GOD, When I Am Due For Rewards, I Shall Not Be Denied.

Let's be reminded that our stewardship is a covenant, and GOD is a Covenant keeping GOD, HE does not break Covenants. The Grace for consistency on our part shall be poured on us in Jesus name.

What is in our Soul winning Stewardship?
1. Our faithful engagement in Soul winning guarantees practical returns as we are due.

[36] And he that reapeth receiveth wages, and gathereth fruit unto life eternal: that both he that soweth and he that reapeth may rejoice together.

We shall not lose our wages any longer. Our faithful not faceful (eyeservice) stewardship is what counts.
Let's be careful of facefulness, rather Grace for faithfulness shall be poured on us in Jesus name.

[2] Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful.
Faithfulness is GOD'S yardstick for man's promotion.

2. Endurance is a non-negotiable requirement
For anyone who desires to win the prize in a race

[24] Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain.
Endurance means to be persistent.
Grace to endure to the end, receive it in Jesus name
Prizes are only awarded at the end of the race

A Covenant is a spiritual deal based on well defined terms, and sealed with an oath.

From the Scriptures, we understand the significance of GOD swearing on HIS Word.
GOD cannot lie

[2] in hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began;

Behind every covenant of GOD is a double guarantee because GOD cannot repent. HE does not need to adjust what HE has said

[19] God is not a man, that he should lie; Neither the son of man, that he should repent: Hath he said, and shall he not do it? Or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?

How reliable is the Covenant of GOD.

[20] Thus saith the LORD; If ye can break my covenant of the day, and my covenant of the night, and that there should not be day and night in their season; [21] then may also my covenant be broken with David my servant, that he should not have a son to reign upon his throne; and with the Levites the priests, my ministers.
What upholds the covenant of day and night is what upholds every other Covenant with GOD. Until the day refuses to break or night refuses to fall, is when the Covenant can be broken.

We must have an understanding and commitment to the Covenant with GOD

Following GOD'S leading, keeping HIS Commandments is what constitutes a genuine walk with GOD- The Covenant mentality is what fuels our walk with GOD.

The Covenant Demand of Prayer

[6] But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.
This verse talks about being rewarded when due, and the outcome of it cannot be ignored

[35] And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out, and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed.

GOD records our labors to determine our rewards.

[8] Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one: and every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labour.
When our cloud is full our rain will fall.

LORD, I receive Grace to remain committed to advancing YOUR Kingdom.
GOD is not only a great Rewarder but a quick Rewarder.

Celebrating GOD'S Word

Salvation is the only thing that gives you value. If you despise it, your value is lost!

GOD knows only Christians. HE said, "I know MY sheep and I call them by name."
You do not have a name outside salvation.

GOD does not know the people in power in
your country, if they are not born again. Their names are not on His list. They are too
short for GOD to see.

All the things that look important to you here are nothing. This ark of safety is filling-
up already, and the flood level is rising. It is time to flee to the covenant mountain,
where there is rest.

I am sent to tell you an ark is being prepared, and wise men are entering into it. Do
not be the last to enter. The gates may be shut at any time!

GOD sent Joseph to tell the children of Israel they do not have to die in Canaan, that
there is room for them in Goshen. So Jacob and his sons crossed over from Canaan of
dryness to the Goshen of milk and honey. May you cross over before the gate is shut!

Suddenly, the ark they had mocked began to float! For 120 years they had mocked
Noah.

Friend, before the gate is shut, you better run into it! It is the covenant ark of rescue

We Serve A Covenant Keeping GOD, When we are due for Rewards, we shall not be denied
‭Ecclesiastes 11:3 KJV‬[3] If the clouds be full of rain, they empty themselves upon the earth: and if the tree fall toward the south, or toward the north, in the place where the tree falleth, there it shall be. 
Until the cloud is full, the rain will not fall. Till we fill our clouds of stewardship with results, the rain will not fall. This cloud-filling endeavor has no timetable. It is the quality of faithful and fruitful engagement that determines when the rain will fall. If your cloud requires 5kg of moist to rain, and you do not fill it within 2 years, the rain will not fall. The rain falls by the result of your engagement. The rain does not fall through efforts made, but by results obtained. You cannot reward yourself, nor can I reward myself.‭
Revelation 22:12 KJV‬[12] And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. 

Your Reward is with GOD
Your reward is not with your pastor, minister, and until your result is full, your reward will not come.
Your reward is with GOD, the Faithful ONE, who is no respecter of persons. When you are due, HE will reward. The REWARDER determines when we are due, not the church or seasons.
With this clarity, it becomes easy and self-motivating to get in line.

This GOD abides faithful, HE cannot deny HIMSELF

We must pray against fainting in our stewardship.
What makes an all-season winner is the consistency in the pursuit of GOD and the interestsof HIS Kingdom.

Past tense faithfulness holds no present value‭
1 Chronicles 28:6-7 KJV‬[6] And HE said unto me, Solomon thy son, he shall build MY house and my courts: for I have chosen him to be MY son, and I will be his father. [7] Moreover I will establish his kingdom for ever, if he be constant to do MY commandments and MY judgments, as at this day. 

‭Ezekiel 18:24 KJV‬[24] But when the righteous turneth away from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, and doeth according to all the abominations that the wicked man doeth, shall he live? All his righteousness that he hath done shall not be mentioned: in his trespass that he hath trespassed, and in his sin that he hath sinned, in them shall he die. 

Solomon originally enjoyed GOD’S Blessings, and later began levying his subjects for sustenance.

GOD is ever counting our faithfulness to determine our next level of rewards.

The third way of stirring the anointing is by *FASTING*. Fasting without spending time in prayer and study of the word is hunger strike. Fasting doesn't make you more righteous than other believers, it simply helps you to be sensitive to the realm of the Spirit. In Acts chapter 13 as the disciples ministered to God and fasted, they were able to pick the voice of the Spirit to separate Paul and Barnabas for an important assignment God had given to them.

Another way of stirring the anointing is by *WORSHIP*. This is one of the strongest weapons of stirring the anointing. Worship is devotion, an expression of love and honour to God in reverence of who He is.
Listening and loading up with the wrong choice of music is havoc to a child of God.
Load your phones and gadgets with anointed songs and be lost in worship and see the anointing stirred up within you as you listen. Glory to Jesus!

The key words in this part of the Bible did not say "when but if". If you care to obey or not.

There are a lot of global agendas to make life more difficult.
Obedience is the key for your escape.

The Bible commands man must be born again (A Must). If not born again, he cannot see the Kingdom of GOD.

Obedience is GOD Said it, I believe it and I comply. Best of prosperity is eternal life.


1. Obedience is the tree of life that bears the fruits of Blessings
‭Psalm 112:1-10 KJV‬
[1] Praise ye the LORD. Blessed is the man that feareth the LORD, That delighteth greatly in HIS commandments. [2] His seed shall be mighty upon earth: The generation of the upright shall be blessed. [3] Wealth and riches shall be in his house: And his righteousness endureth for ever. [4] Unto the upright there ariseth light in the darkness: He is gracious, and full of compassion, and righteous. [5] A good man sheweth favour, and lendeth: He will guide his affairs with discretion. [6] Surely he shall not be moved for ever: The righteous shall be in everlasting remembrance. [7] He shall not be afraid of evil tidings: His heart is fixed, trusting in the LORD. [8] His heart is established, he shall not be afraid, Until he see his desire upon his enemies. [9] He hath dispersed, he hath given to the poor; His righteousness endureth for ever; His horn shall be exalted with honour. [10] The wicked shall see it, and be grieved; He shall gnash with his teeth, and melt away: The desire of the wicked shall perish.

2. The words 'Obedience' and 'Blessings' are like hands in gloves. They are inseparable.

3. When we sow the seed of obedience, it continues to bear the fruits of blessings

4. By their fruits we shall know the level of their obedience
‭James 1:22-27 KJV‬
[22] But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. [23] For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass: [24] for he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was. [25] But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed. [26] If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man's religion is vain. [27] Pure religion and undefiled before GOD and the FATHER is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.

5. Obedience brought Abraham into the realm of Blessings

[2] And Abram was very rich in cattle, in silver, and in gold.

6. Obedience kept him in that realm

[14] And when Abram heard that his brother was taken captive, he armed his trained servants, born in his own house, three hundred and eighteen, and pursued them unto Dan. [15] And he divided himself against them, he and his servants, by night, and smote them, and pursued them unto Hobah, which is on the left hand of Damascus. [16] And he brought back all the goods, and also brought again his brother Lot, and his goods, and the women also, and the people. [17] And the king of Sodom went out to meet him after his return from the slaughter of Chedorlaomer, and of the kings that were with him, at the valley of Shaveh, which is the king's dale. [18] And Melchizedek king of Salem brought forth bread and wine: and he was the priest of the most high GOD. [19] And he blessed him, and said, Blessed be Abram of the most high GOD, possessor of heaven and earth: [20] and blessed be the most high GOD, which hath delivered thine enemies into thy hand. And he gave him tithes of all.

7. Obedience sustained the blessings till the end of his life

[1] And Abraham was old, and well stricken in age: and the LORD had blessed Abraham in all things.

8. What Melchizedek did was to proclaim blessings on his obedience

9. The Bible recognizes the place and power of the spirit of Obedience
‭Ezekiel 36:27 KJV‬
[27] And I will put MY spirit within you, and cause you to walk in MY statutes, and ye shall keep MY judgments, and do them.

[2] wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:

10. But the spirit of Obedience is a vital spiritual weapon with the capacity to win any war

[3] For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: [4] (for the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through GOD to the pulling down of strong holds [5] casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of GOD, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

11. While obedience may be costly, the result is priceless
‭1 Corinthians 9:16-17 KJV‬
[16] For though I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of: for necessity is laid upon me; yea, woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel! [17] For if I do this thing willingly, I have a reward: but if against my will, a dispensation of the gospel is committed unto me.

‭Philippians 1:21 KJV‬
[21] For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.

‭Acts 14:11 KJV‬
[11] And when the people saw what Paul had done, they lifted up their voices, saying in the speech of Lycaonia, The gods are come down to us in the likeness of men.


Why do we need the spirit of Obedience?
1. Some instructions may be far above our natural capacity to obey
‭Genesis 12:1-4 KJV‬
[1] Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee: [2] and I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: [3] and I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed. [4] So Abram departed, as the LORD had spoken unto him; and Lot went with him: and Abram was seventy and five years old when he departed out of Haran.

2. Some may be too costly to bear naturally

[1] And it came to pass after these things, that GOD did tempt Abraham, and said unto him, Abraham: and he said, Behold, here I am. [2] And he said, Take now thy son, thine only son Isaac, whom thou lovest, and get thee into the land of Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of. [3] And Abraham rose up early in the morning, and saddled his ass, and took two of his young men with him, and Isaac his son, and clave the wood for the burnt offering, and rose up, and went unto the place of which GOD had told him.

[16] and said, By myself have I sworn, saith the LORD, for because thou hast done this thing, and hast not withheld thy son, thine only son: [17] that in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies; [18] and in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed MY voice.

3. While many others may be too deadly to comply with
‭Genesis 17:10-14, 23-26 KJV‬
[10] This is MY covenant, which ye shall keep, between ME and you and thy seed after thee; Every man child among you shall be circumcised. [11] And ye shall circumcise the flesh of your foreskin; and it shall be a token of the covenant betwixt ME and you. [12] And he that is eight days old shall be circumcised among you, every man child in your generations, he that is born in the house, or bought with money of any stranger, which is not of thy seed. [13] He that is born in thy house, and he that is bought with thy money, must needs be circumcised: and MY covenant shall be in your flesh for an everlasting covenant. [14] And the uncircumcised man child whose flesh of his foreskin is not circumcised, that soul shall be cut off from his people; he hath broken MY covenant.
[23] And Abraham took Ishmael his son, and all that were born in his house, and all that were bought with his money, every male among the men of Abraham's house; and circumcised the flesh of their foreskin in the selfsame day, as GOD had said unto him. [24] And Abraham was ninety years old and nine, when he was circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin. [25] And Ishmael his son was thirteen years old, when he was circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin. [26] In the selfsame day was Abraham circumcised, and Ishmael his son.

4. Even Christ needed the power of the Spirit to walk in Obedience
‭John 10:17-18 KJV‬
[17] Therefore doth my FATHER love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again. [18] No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my FATHER.

‭Philippians 2:5-11 KJV‬
[5] Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: [6] who, being in the form of GOD, thought it not robbery to be equal with GOD: [7] but made himself of no reputation, and took upon Him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: [8] and being found in fashion as a man, He humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. [9] Wherefore GOD also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: [10] that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; [11] and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of GOD the FATHER.
