Dr Zainab Bagudu-Shinkafi former First Lady of Kebbi state has emerged as a recipient of the prestigious Dicey Scroggins Distinguished Advocate Award. She is the only recipient from Nigeria for the 2024 edition of the Award which will take place on October 15, in Dublin, Ireland.

The Award is named in honour of Mary Dicey Jackson Scroggins, founder of International Gynecologic Cancer Advocacy Network.
The award recognises Advocates and advocacy organisations that provide active,dedicated service to patients/ survivors, families and care givers, on a local, regional or international level and also persistently engage in the fight against gynecologic and other cancers.

Dr Shinkafi-Bagudu was selected for the award because of her advocacy and dedication in the fight against cancer. A Paediatrician by profession, she is a global expert in cancer care and Founder of Medicaid Cancer Foundation.MCF.

Over the years the Foundation has grown into a significant provider of free access to cancer screening, diagnosis and treatment support.

Since 2008, the Foundation has increased awareness by over 25 percent.It has helped to reduce late stage cancer presentations and provided affordable treatment options.

Dr Shinkafi-Bagudu holds many leadership positions both locally and internationally. In Nigeria she serves as Senior Adviser on Women's Health and Cancer to the Minister of Health. She co- Chairs the Nigerian Cervical Cancer Elimination task force. Three times she has been elected to the board of Directors of the Union for International Cancer Control. UICC.

Also she contributes to the advisory board of Global Initiative Against HPV and Cervical Cancer, GIAHC, coalition to strengthen the HPV community.
She is a global Ambassador for World Ovarian Cancer.

Between 2015 and 2023 when she was the First Lady of Kebbi state, Dr Shinkafi- Bagudu facilitated patnership between WHO, CHAI, Medicaid and Kebbi state government to screen and treat about 40,000 women for Cervical cancer. She also facilitated free HPV vaccinations for school girls.

She advocated for introducing HPV vaccine in Nigeria. This was eventually achieved last year.
So far about 13 million Nigerian girls have received the vaccine.

We saw from scripture that at the root of every miracle that Jesus did was the faith of the recipients.

Until the faith of the individual is secured their miracle was never in view.

But why Faith?It is the faith of the believer that commits the integrity of GOD to perform.

Faith propels the believer into taking covenant steps.

Spiritual Growth, A Vital Requirement For Commanding The Supernatural

The Supernatural is the birthright of every believer. The Supernatural is my birthright, however, that it's our birthright doesn't mean it will happen automatically, only to those committed to spiritual growth. Spiritual growth is a personal and non-transferable responsibility.

No one can grow another spiritually, everyone is absolutely responsible for the outcome of their life. No one can eat or go to the toilet for another in the natural, so it is in the supernatural; you either grow or groan.
Same way you nurture the physical body, so it is with spiritual growth.

Spiritual growth is not a destination, it is a journey. No one ever arrives, but we have to keep making progress.

The Word of GOD is the spiritual food that we need

[19] For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.

To access our spiritual food, we require the Holy Ghost to help us enhance our access to the Word of GOD. (Our unchartered access)

[26] But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

The Holy Ghost is the teacher who teaches all things; family, health, career, relationships

How do I engage Him

One requirement for growing in GOD is spiritual nourishment, not a product of time in the faith, but being fed in the faith, quality nutrition equals quality growth.

Spiritual Growth; A Vital Requirement For Commanding The Supernatural

It is by the Word that we grow spiritually, our spiritual life is enhanced by the Word

[4] whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

[2] as newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:

You don't grow by prayer, but by the milk of the Word.
Everybody needs a sure foundation.

How Do We Access The Word?

Milk. Meat. Strong meat. Wine. Honey.

1. Our access to the Word demands the fear of GOD; that's fundamental.
Without genuine fear of the LORD, our access is not secure.

We must graduate from the milk to the meat of the Word

What builds us is what we find from what we read and hear.

The rock is finding and doing what the Word says; exercising and putting the Word to work. Devote your time for spiritual growth.

It is a great day of joy, celebration, and Thanksgiving for Nigeria's first female Force Secretary, AIG Yetunde Longe as she pulled out from the Nigeria Police in grand style. AIG Yetunde Longe also clocked 60 reaching the full age of service to retire from the Police as another member of the famous Course 16 of 1990, National Association of Online Security News Publishers, NAOSNP can report.
 
With this development, Yetunde Longe joins her husband, AIG Kehinde Patrick Longe who retired meritoriously last years. The Longes are one of the few power couples in the Nigeria Police Force and they are very impactful in and outside of the Nigeria Police Force.
 
In his eulogy to the first Force Secretary, the IGP Kayode Egbetokun who was represented by the Deputy Inspector-General of Police, DIG in charge of Southwest, DIG Sylvester Abiodun Alabi said: 'AIG Yetunde Longe who is retiring after a meritorious service to our fatherland is an Amazon. We celebrate your unwavering commitment, bravery, and dedication to protecting lives and properties in the nation. Your career has been a remarkable one marked with countless acts of heroism and compassion. You have faced a lot of challenges but you kept on soaring high as one of the most resilient police officers in the job and as a member of the management team before you bowed out as the first female secretary of the police force.'
 
DIG Alabi added: 'We are so proud of you. You have been a role model to so many police officers, particularly in combining policing and the home force. I want to say here categorically that the entire people of Ekiti that you’re married to are very proud of you. It is not easy for you to combine policing and home front together, you have never failed in any of those duties, I am particularly impressed with the way you have contributed to policy formulation and implementation as the member of the force management team before you’re exiting today.'
 
'We will continue to draw from your inspiration and experience that you have shown in the course of your career. Let me particularly thank all course 290, course 216 of the Nigeria police force who are here present for your support not only for Yetunde but to the entire police force. We wish you God's guidance, protection and a successful retirement life, in good health', Alabi said.

I am very happy I saw a lot of your colleagues your seniors and juniors that are here to celebrate you.'

I remember that day her husband, AIG Kehinde Longe rtd was going to Angola and suddenly Yetunde got pregnant, Yetunde said Aunty Ayo you caused this, and be ready to tender this pregnancy and I said God will do it and God did it and the child of that time is 32 years old now if I’m not mistaken and for one day have never settled any case for Yetunde Longe and her husband going to 34 years and I’ll tell other police women and civilians who are here today, go to Yetunde Longe for marriage counseling, and God will uphold her, be with her, God will not leave her.'
'She has retired, she retired into blessing, into goodwill, into mercy of God, Favour of God and everything good, she deserve it and more than that in Jesus mighty name', said the woman they fondly called Aunty Ayo.
AIG Oyekola Shodipo who retired over 7years ago said 'Yetunde told me about 3 months ago when DIG's wife was celebrating her 50th birthday she said Mr Shodipo you’re going to give the goodwill message at my retirement, I have to put something down. Today as we gather to celebrate the remarkable career of a true hero who has left an incredible mark on our communities, I am indeed honored to give this goodwill message. She has exemplified the true meaning of dedication, courage and selflessness, she have served and protected our communities putting her own safety on the line to ensure peace and security of the people, I celebrate Yetunde today for the many lives she has touched.'
Mr. Disu added about Yetunde Longe, 'She has been entrusted with very special positions, what else can we say other than to wish her the very best, the children are doing well, family doing well and she still has a lot of years, long healthy years ahead of her and we can only join her in praying that the long years ahead will be healthy and joyful.'
In her response, AIG Yetunde Longe (retd) thanked everyone who had come to celebrate with her. 'I stand before you today with a mixed emotion, as I bid farewell to a chapter of life that was define for so many years. as I retire from the Nigeria police force, after reaching the mandatory age of 60 years, I am filled with sense of pride, accomplishment and fulfillment, it has been an incredible fulfill journey doted with challenges.'

The Corps Marshal, Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Shehu Mohammed has launched a comprehensive capacity-building programme as part of activities to achieve the policy thrust of his administration and secure the future of the  Corps.

The effort, according to a  statement signed by the Public Education Officer, Corps Commander Olusegun Ogungbemide, and made available to the National Association of Online Security News Publishers (NAOSNP), has led to the training of 1646 personnel across the cadres and graduation of 20 Junior Officers.

The training which aims at enhancing their skills and knowledge to meet the evolving demands of road safety management and traffic administration comprises of the training of 341 Unit Commanders, 415 Road Marshal Assistants for enhanced professionalism and civility to the motoring public, 700 Drivers, 90 Monitoring and Evaluation Officers, as well as 100 junior Officers across the training schools nationwide. While some have been concluded, others are still ongoing.

Part of the milestone in this regard since assumption of office in May, 2024, is the training of 20 Superintendant Route Commanders who graduated from Junior Staff Course in FRSC Command and Staff College, Udi, Enugu State; and were awarded with the Pass junior Staff College (pjsc) certificates.
Speaking during the graduation of the Junior Course participants in Udi, the Corps Marshal maintained that the capacity-building program is designed to empower staff with the latest skills, knowledge, and best practices in road safety management. He noted that by investing in personnel, the Corps is definitely investing in the future of road safety in Nigeria.

This initiative underscores the Corps Marshal's commitment to positioning FRSC as a leading road safety agency, equipped to address the complex challenges of modern road safety management. The various training programmes will feature a combination of theoretical and practical training sessions, workshops, and mentoring, conducted by in-house and international experts.

The programme, which has commenced in all the training institutions of the Corps, focuses on: traffic enforcement and management, road safety education and advocacy, data analysis and research, leadership and management development, digital literacy and technology adoption.

For all of our stewardship in the Kingdom, none of us will miss our pay in the name of Jesus.

Kingdom Stewardship is an act of service to GOD. There are various forms, but basically fall in 3 categories;

1. Spiritual
2. Financial
3. In-service.

Of these 3 categories of stewardship, spiritual stewardship pays the most. Out of spiritual stewardship, there are different types:
1. Soul winning
2. Inviting people to church

Today; Engaging the Altar of Prayer.

[1] And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;

Praying for fresh revelation with conformation in signs and wonders

[1] Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may have free course, and be glorified, even as it is with you:

Never forget that prayer is vital to the continuous flow of revelation, which gives birth to signs and wonders.

We are specifically told the dimension of stewardship

Your excuses are your cup of tea, and they are squeezing your life without knowing. Obedience may be costly, bur the end result is priceless

We don't beg for a turnaround, we obey for a turnaround in the Kingdom

Our begging is proof that we are not ready to obey GOD

[38] give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.

Likewise if you won't repent, you can't be saved

[27] Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that favour my righteous cause: Yea, let them say continually, Let the LORD be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant.

Preach the Word. That's GOD righteous cause on the earth

[37] Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice.

Favor with GOD is at a cost.
Listen to GOD first, before GOD can listen to you

[13] Thou shalt arise, and have mercy upon Zion: For the time to favour her, yea, the set time, is come. [14] For thy servants take pleasure in her stones, And favour the dust thereof. [15] So the heathen shall fear the name of the LORD, And all the kings of the earth thy glory.

When you favor HIS cause, HIS good hand rests upon your life. Genuine passion for GOD and the affairs of HIS Kingdom secures fearful favor for those who favor HIS cause.
Favor is GOD'S agenda for scaling the utmost heights in life.
We can't sit to wait for favor, we entreat favor, by doing what HE says to do.

May each one work his way into GOD'S favor in Jesus name.

All we need to live a life of impact is obedience

[33] But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

You are in for the best of time

GOD is not looking for who to use, but who to bless.
We do not beg for long life in the kingdom, we serve to enjoy long life

‭Psalm 91:14, 16 KJV‬
[14] Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.
[16] With long life will I satisfy him, And shew him my salvation.

Jesus, help me to connect with the channel of fearful favor. Endue me with the Spirit of Obedience for steadfastness in stewardship. Help me to prove my pleasure in advancing Your kingdom.

We Do Not Beg For A Change of Story In The Kingdom

‭Psalm 35:27 KJV‬

Change of Story In The Kingdom is not a product of chance, but a product of choice.
A choice of the covenant; to stand, live and operate by the covenant.

It puts every believer on an equal playing field

[12] For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.

‭James 1:22-25 KJV‬
[22] But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. [23] For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass: [24] for he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was. [25] But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.

This is crucial, many stop at hearing only.

Serving GOD and the interests of HIS Kingdom is a vital requirement for accessing the Blessings. No substitute.

[11] If they obey and serve him, They shall spend their days in prosperity, And their years in pleasures.

There's always what man must do to make GOD to move.

1. We do not beg to be free from generational curses; we simply serve our way into freedom
The simplest way to escape generational captivity

‭Exodus 23:25-26 KJV‬
[25] And ye shall serve the LORD your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee. [26] There shall nothing cast their young, nor be barren, in thy land: the number of thy days I will fulfil.

‭Numbers 23:8, 20 KJV‬
[8] How shall I curse, whom God hath not cursed? Or how shall I defy, whom the LORD hath not defied?
[20] Behold, I have received commandment to bless: And he hath blessed; and I cannot reverse it.

The simplest way to avert curses is to serve.


2. We do not beg to be fulfilled in life; we simply serve our way into fulfillment

Working and earning doesn't equal fulfilment.
The core essence of man's creation is service to the creator, and therein lies man's fulfilment

[14] And he ordained twelve, that they should be with him, and that he might send them forth to preach,

‭Mark 10:28-30 KJV‬
[28] Then Peter began to say unto him, Lo, we have left all, and have followed thee. [29] And Jesus answered and said, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the gospel's, [30] but he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life.

We are fulfilled in our service to GOD.

GOD is not looking for who to abase, but who to elevate. Service to GOD is the cheapest way to man's elevation.

Give GOD praise, celebrate HIS faithfulness and mighty acts.
LORD, speak to us today, give me an encounter.
FATHER, we are grateful, empower us, and let all the redeemed of the LORD say Amen.

We Do Not Beg For A Change of Story

Why, simply because we serve a covenant keeping GOD.

‭Psalm 89:34 KJV‬
[34] My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips.

Every provision is available to whosoever aligns with the conditions attached. Those who meet the condition never miss the provision.
We do not beg, rather we serve our way.
Never forget that GOD is a responsible FATHER, who never needs reminder about HIS responsibilities.

We do not beg to be fruitful, we simply serve our way into fruitfulness. It is the heritage of GOD for all HIS children.

[1] Now will I sing to my wellbeloved a song of my beloved touching his vineyard. My wellbeloved hath a vineyard in a very fruitful hill:

[14] Thou shalt be blessed above all people: there shall not be male or female barren among you, or among your cattle.

How do we access HIS fruitfulness?

‭Exodus 23:25-26 KJV‬
[25] And ye shall serve the LORD your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee. [26] There shall nothing cast their young, nor be barren, in thy land: the number of thy days I will fulfil.

Our FATHER is a babymaker, we HIS children can't be baby beggars

Faithfulness is required to obtain fruitfulness in service

[10] Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it. [11] And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the LORD of hosts.

Beggars don't get anything, compared to servants, there's no assurance of rewards in begging, but there is assurance of rewards in service.

[4] The sluggard will not plow by reason of the cold; Therefore shall he beg in harvest, and have nothing.

We do not cry to be honored, we serve our way into honor

‭Matthew 24:45-47 KJV‬
[45] Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season? [46] Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing. [47] Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods.

Service is GOD'S gateway to changing the story of men. Those who serve don't beg, those who beg are lazy.

[26] If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honour.

‭Mark 10:44 KJV‬
[44] and whosoever of you will be the chiefest, shall be servant of all.

GOD is not looking for who to humiliate, but who to honor.

[30] Wherefore the LORD God of Israel saith, I said indeed that thy house, and the house of thy father, should walk before me for ever: but now the LORD saith, Be it far from me; for them that honour me I will honour, and they that despise me shall be lightly esteemed.

We have come full of gratitude, for the privilege of being in YOUR presence, and for the testimonies. We have come to hear YOUR voice in Jesus mighty name.

We Do Not Beg For A Change of Story

We are not in a begging kingdom, but we are in a 'doers' kingdom

‭James 1:22-25 KJV‬
[22] But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. [23] For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass: [24] for he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was. [25] But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.

GOD blesses as we do. The character of GOD is the character of covenant. HE is a covenant keeping GOD, not a Father Christmas GOD. For every provision, there is a condition. We obey our way through.

Obedience is the trademark of service
‭Romans 6:16 KJV‬
[16] Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?

Serving GOD is simply trademarked by our obedience to GOD. Our service to GOD is what procures blessings from GOD.

1. We don't beg to walk in health, we serve to live a healthy life. Our health and vitality is in our stewardship.

‭John 15:1-2 KJV‬
[1] I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman. [2] Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit. (Purge means prune)

Sickness can hinder the productivity of a believer, but GOD removes whatever it is that seeks to hinder our productivity

‭2 Corinthians 5:20 KJV‬
[20] Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.

‭Proverbs 13:17 KJV‬
[17] A wicked messenger falleth into mischief: But a faithful ambassador is health.

Every opportunity to serve GOD is an opportunity for GOD to service us. When GOD is managing your health, there's security against sickness and diseases.

2. We don't cry to prosper, we serve our way into growing realms of prosperity

‭Malachi 3:17-18 KJV‬
[17] And they shall be mine, saith the LORD of hosts, in that day when I make up my jewels; and I will spare them, as a man spareth his own son that serveth him. [18] Then shall ye return, and discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him that serveth God and him that serveth him not.

As we are committed to serving GOD, HE is committed to decorating and blessing us

‭Malachi 4:1-2 KJV‬
[1] For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the LORD of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch. [2] But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall.

[35] And he said unto them, When I sent you without purse, and scrip, and shoes, lacked ye any thing? And they said, Nothing.

Everyone on GOD'S assignment is due for GOD'S securement.

Take Note: GOD is not looking for who to rob, but who to enrich. There is nothing in your hand GOD is eyeing, rather, GOD is looking to put something in your life
