firstly the hadith is telling us that someone burnt houses of those who did not attend congreagtional prayers.not that because they did not pray,but because they did not go to the mosque.and in islam that is totally not the case.congregational prayers are recommended but not obligatory.

secondly,it is also not an issue of punctuation.it is dishonesty.the hadith is quoted in a way that make it look the Prophet (sa) burnt people's houses.how? the hadith is reported by someone.and the person who reported the hadith is the one who took the action of burning.so why was his name not included? why did the hadith just starts with "the Prophet said".who is telling us what the Prophet (sa) said?it is concealed.the name of the reporter was removed and every hadith contains the name of the reporter and also the chain of reporters.i see this as deliberate in removing the name of the speaker.this hadith could easily pass as reporting the action of the Prophet (sa) or that the Prophet (sa) is endorsing burning for those not leavening their houses to congregate.

so my advice to you,next time you go to those anti-islamic sites to copy hadiths,try and scrutinize what you are copying.it would save you the public embarassment of being busted as you were busted in this particular case.

Really? the Bible is not like the Quran where things happen without rhyme or reason. Characters appear and disappear, disjointed accounts etc.

The Bible is an account of Man's relationship with God. Its a complete story, an account. Read the Bible to comprehend your questions so you don't goof

The Bible contains Historical accounts across millenia culminating to the gift of salvation through Christ.

So reading the Bible verses in isolation is not gonna take you anywhere.

Thats how the Bible works. It gives you the entire story from beginning to end. Historical facts are recorded and show God's intervention in the activities of man through the ages.

This story is clear, it records a great famine as a result of a siege to the extent that people resorted to cannibalism to survive. The King was made aware of this situation and he was so saddened he tore his clothes, wore sack clothes to show grief and swore to make someone accountable. Now SERIOUSLY, doesn't this makes sense (unless the person in question is soooo dumb or being mischievous)

Scripture, as a history, recalls some very bloody deeds, yes. But If you follow the story, you will see how God intervened.

The Bible is not just accounts but how men related with each other and God and the historical accuracy of the Bible is acclaimed.

So picking that verse in isolation is to deliberately distort the message and that is a very poor and commonly  used tactic of those who seek to discredit the Bible, especially the Old testament.

For the average reader, its easy to google such isolated verse and read up the entire chapter to gain a better insight into the situation.

So pointing out with GLEE that Cannibalism is in the Bible as if its the find of the century and quoting verses in isolation is the work of a very lazy mind. There are violent scenes recorded in the Bible that gives an overall picture of man's relationship with God and how it has been progressed and modified through the ages.

It's not brentkruge's fault; Although in the verse (Q8:55), the arabic word used is "dawwaba" which means "creatures", some others have translated this word to mean "animal" or "beasts", which is the translation i'm guessing brentkrudge came across.

This is the beauty of the quran, as it's the only holy book  in existence today that everyone in every part of the world can read in it's original revealed language (arabic) any time. If you understood arabic, the meaning of this word wouldn't be a problem. 

So for argument sake, whether "dawwaba" means creatures or beasts or animal etc the verse (Q8:55) still implies that ; the worst of creatures/animals/beasts in the sight of Allah are those who've disbelieved and will not believe

Finally, according to Islam, allah created all living things (mankind, animal, jinn, angels etc) to worship HIM alone. Our primary aim of coming to this world is to worship allah, every other thing is secondary. So therefore if any creature/animal/beasts does not worship allah, then that creature is truly the worst creature. IT'S THAT SIMPLE;-

Allah states in the glorious quran "and I (Allah) created not the jinn and mankind except that they should worship Me (Alone)"

I thought Malcolm X was shot by his fellow nation of Islam members among them Talmadge Hayer (caught red handed). Malcolm had a weird view of Islam that, while he used it to express the equality of blacks and white, surely will alienate him from main stream Islam. He was a great freedom fighter no less and did acknowledge his wrongs (signs of great men).

Princess Diana's death was not by natural causes and from which side of the divide you look at it, conspiracies will abound. The British and French maintain their story (drunken driver) while others believe they were done in. If I may ask when did she become a hero of Islam? I didnt know that. You can go on inventing conspiracy theories for the death of everyone in the world if you want to. But its better to be pragmatic about these things.
