A python, yesterday, swallowed a baby at Okada, Edo State.

Witnesses say the snake, measuring about 10ft long, swallowed a six-month-old baby that was left abandoned outside a house.

The baby was reportedly left on a mat outside, while the mother went inside. A witness, who claimed to have arrived the scene as the snake was in the process of swallowing the baby, raised an alarm. People rushed to the scene and killed the snake, but were too late to save the baby.

well , before i say it was a scam or circumstancial, stage-managed or whatever, there are some questions we should have asked the poster. Firstly, what time of the day was the test scheduled? Because if this happened between the hours of 9 and 10 in the morning, there is every possibility that she had come to write the test before the commencement of the church service knowing full well that most church wedding services starts from 10. Secondly, was their any member of her bridal train or family member spotted around her outside the test venue, becuase like the poster wrote thay she abandoned her wedding. I think an avalanche of guests, church members, friends and family members including the groom and chief brides maid would have followed her in teary eyes to see where the madness ended, i mean if this was a real wedding scenario. Finally, job and marriage which one is more important to a girl? To the men, i can easily give an answer. But for a girl to abandon the greatest occassion in her life for a job she was not even sure of is something to worry about and calls for the re-assessment of our true value. Therefore, if it was stage-managed, i definitely respect her creativity and ingenuity but if it happened that it was her wedding day indeed, i can only but call her name SORRY.

Much as I would like to believe this story, somehow I am suspecting that it may have been stage managed.

Reason: nearly all weddings take place over the weekend i.e. Saturdays/Sundays to make allowance for travelling guests and other logistics, etc. Meanwhile, I can't imagine NNPC organizing such an official event on a non working day such as a weekend ( though anything possible 4 9ja).

My suspicion is that the alleged bride may have done so to gain the sympathy of the organizers as an advantage to scale through the selection process.

I could be wrong, but this one looks like a scam to me.

Agreed that jonathan disappointed nigerians by not participating at the presidential debate organised by NN24. Buhari, shekarau, ribadu and others should let go their ego and attend the 1 by BON too cos its another avenue show nigerians what they intend doing to change this country for good. He should debate with himself. Leader are not rulers. there lead by example. if you want to boycott,  what stops you from issuing a press statement like the one above with reasons (not the lame reason of viewer-ship)why you wont attend.

If you dont have facts why not keep quiet. Sambo did not show up for the  VP debates and that was 1 week before the real presidential debate. The acting PDP chairman stated at least 4 days before the  debates that  they will  not be part of the debate because of lack of structure and not necessarily what most people are saying about making questions available in advance. It s not as if people thought GEJ was on his way and he refused to show up.

A President of a Country is supposed to be a man of his words and a honourable person. why would he agree to a debate and propose a date only to run away on one excuse or the other without the courtesy of getting back to the organisers and co contestants that he was no longer coming. Anyway, the issue is clear. Now that others are saying they are also not coming to his own "arrangee" debate with BON, let him go ahead and debate with himself. GEJ is fooling himself if he cannot see that he will only be relying on incumbency powers to use and waste public fund to run elections and dominate the public media to win the elections. As an unbiased watcher, he has failed woefully by my assessment to convince anyone that he has the capacity to even lead a Local Government. He finds it difficult even in controlling his wife at home not to talk of controlling the country. This is a man whose wive is sending grammatical missiles all over the country in the name of rallying women for her husband. For the first time in our history, both husband and wife are depleting the resources of the country daily on a personal mission of ruling without any visible plan. The Country is bleeding to death of insecurity,corruption and darkness, yet our President is celebrating 4,000 megawatts after spending $15 billion on electricity. That is why he is dodging debates because he cannot come out and tell Nigerians what he has achieved in his one year as the man in the saddle and his earlier achievements that make him a selable product beyond "goodluck to me, good luck to you goodluck to everybody" song. Tell Nigerians that are willing to vote for him the news that "They will use patience to save money and buy i better pass my neighbour generator and will use good luck to fuel it for another four years"

The attacks on her definitely needs to stop. She is not running for office, it is her husband who is running for office. I do not think any of the presidential candidate's wives should be attacked. This resembles the attacks that Republicans did during Obama's presidential election, in which they tried to attack him through his wife.

So what if shes not running for office. She has an office that squanders tax payers money. we call them our first family remember. Palins's daughter had problems we all did not stop talking until she lost the election. I have seen leaders that have resigned because of the shortcomings of their folks,  btw this post is not to abuse her,  its saying we should actually verify the results posted by uniport from 1990-1994.

A controversial US evangelical preacher oversaw the burning of a copy of the Koran in a small Florida church after finding the Muslim holy book "guilty" of crimes.


The burning was carried out by pastor Wayne Sapp under the supervision of Terry Jones, who last September drew sweeping condemnation over his plan to ignite a pile of Korans on the anniversary of September 11, 2001 attacks.

Sunday's event was presented as a trial of the book in which the Koran was found "guilty" and "executed."

The jury deliberated for about eight minutes. The book, which had been soaking for an hour in kerosene, was put in a metal tray in the center of the church, and Sapp started the fire with a barbecue lighter.

The book burned for around 10 minutes while some onlookers posed for photos.
