I will advise the company transfer your tuition and $10,000 cad to your account and back up this with an explanation. Also, ensure you submit every company's documents that shows you are a director like the Memorandum of association, CAC Certificate and any other documents.

In addition, ensure the company write a sponsorship letter stating why they are sponsoring you and the amount per year. It would also be beneficial if they stated info like what you do for them, how your education would benefit the company, when they expect you back, how your role will change once you come back, etc. Basically, they should include all possible info that the VO may wonder about.

All the very best.
Hi,

Thanks a lot for your candid response. Do i need to add the company bank statement as well, if yes, a statement for how many months is ideal? I am looking to also add, purchase orders, invoices of payments, contracts with clients etc. to show that the company is doing business till date and can fund my program comfortably. What do you think?

Looking forward to your response.

Thanks.

Hello,

I just read your response and I would like to ask. ( i am sorry I am asking a lot of questions) *coverface*. shocked
Please, oh I am using my company as the sponsor. It's actually run by myself and my husband. We are both directors and the CAC shows all of that information. My CFO and my husband have signed that the company would sponsor my tuition. I work full time in the company and manage the sales bit of the business.

Does the company have to transfer the 1-year tuition from my company account to mine? Or may the company just state that the funds are available and they will pay ( stating the dates that the payment is due).

If the company transfer the Tuition, wouldn't it show as a huge lodgement and wouldn't that raise an eyebrow?

Please advise.

Thanks, for your patience to answer my questions.

Thanks Jeremy. You seem like someone I'll love to meet in person. You aren't deterred by people's opinion of who you are. You follow your conviction even when it's a tough call
Hi,

Thanks for your information. Just to add that I noticed that the 5832E (Visa Office Instruction Form) page 17 & 18 doesn't allow filling online, please help confirm this.
Thanks.

It seems to me that you have too many questions and should visit VFS, instead of depending on every word you can get here as holy and sanctimonious. I don’t have the fees, they charge differently for adults and minors and have changed fees from when I applied. Yes data page for everyone you apply with. Different fees for adults and minors. People below 13 years of age don’t have to do biometrics, which is a significant savings for you. People 80 years and above too do not have to do biometrics. Payment is done at counter in cash I believe. Please go to this website and chat with a live VFS person right from the comforts of your home:
https://www.vfsglobal.ca/canada/nigeria/how_to_apply.html
Thank you. I will contact VFS via chat ASAP!

Quote me anywhere! I stand yes!!! and I'm 100% certain that Canadian embassy don't regard Company bank statement as primary proof of funds to applicant for a study visa. Reasons because in each company there are board of directors that foresee the affairs of the company and the visa officer knows that sponsoring applicant from company's account will require you consulting the shareholders of the company, of which they know that the shareholders also have some share from the business finance, with their dependants to cater for.

" I have seen applicants that submitted their application with 150M company bank statements and got refused for insufficient funds. But in their second attempt they changed it to their sponsor personal bank statement and got approved. As I said earlier, you can use company bank statement but make sure you add it up with sponsor personal statement to evident proof of his/her financial establishment.

Note: Applicant that chooses to use only company bank statements for the visa application must provide proof that their sponsor is the sole signatory to the account before such application will scale through and the shareholders of the company won't be a hindrance to this . If not its an automatic refusal for insufficient funds.

Thank you!
Hi,
Thanks for your clarification. What is its a situation whereby, the person going for the program is a signatory to the account? Does this carry weight? The business is fully functional and will still run even when the person is away on a study permit.

Please advise.
Thanks

I went to submit my paper application today and I learned these the hard way: 1. You need to make three colour copies of your passport data page. 2. That section of form Imm 1294 that needs employment information for ten years, even if you were not employed, provide employment situation for ten years 3. Don't go to vfs with a bag containing valuable items, bags are not allowed in.
I went back with my application and bag containing laptop and tab.
Hi,
Thanks for your information, I find this very helpful because I am also applying via the paper route. Please advise, about the passport data page, do I need to do for only myself or my whole family? in my case, i am applying for myself (study permit) and Visit for my husband and two kids).

Also for the paper application, Is payment done at the counter? Do I go with cash or a card?

How much for each person plus biometric. (2 adults and 2 minor kids)

Do my kids aged 5 & 6 require biometrics too, do I need to pay for biometrics for them as well?

Thanks in anticipation of your response.

Hey guys. Good evening to you all.

Someone asked a question about that form 5832E (Visa office Instructions & Study Permit Questionnaire) and was hoping someone could answer.

That form is 18 pages and I noticed it requires info (e.g employment history) also found on the IMM 1294 (application form).

Now, do we fill the entire 5832 or just the last pages (17 & 18) which is the study questionnaire section? I read on one of the old threads that it's just the last 2 pages that need to be filled. Is this reasonable?

Second, it also says on the form to provide birth certificates of siblings. Is this compulsory? I was happy that the new form 5707E (family information) excludes siblings questions but it seems we can't escape it with the 5832E.

Gurus please help us out!
I asked the same question.
I am still waiting for a reply! Can someone please help us clarify this.

Thank you greatest Nairalanders!

Sounds like you have a lot of travel history and should all be good applying together for a visitor’s visa along with your student visa. Yes your husband and children all have to do medicals. Your husband needs a police report too. The children need a police report only if they are above 18 years of age.
Thanks for your response. We would get it right away.

One more thing i saw two types of forms, which do i fill. I am a bit confused on the particular one.

Please see attached and help advise on which form to fill.

You are better off applying by yourself first. Use your husband and children and business left behind as a tie. When you are in Canada, petition for him and the kids for a SOWP. Applying for visiting visa is hard to get upfront for spouse and kids except you have a lot of travel history. So SOWP is your best bet. Your husband can return to Nigeria with the SOWP and apply for a visiting visa to revisit you. Returning to Nigeria after been granted SOWP will make it earsier to obtain visiting visa. That my take except you really want them all to go with you right now. That’s the reasonable strategy to undertake. Yes you can submit police report and upfront medicals if you want. Police report however, is not necessary for minors.
Hi, thanks for your response, i appreciate it. Yes, i have a lot of travel history, including visiting Canada itself, I also have a valid visa. My husband also has a lot of travel history but has not visited Canada. Our business makes us travel outside Nigeria alot. SouthAfrica, US, Switzerland, Ghana, Kenya, China, all on business trips.

We have actually given it a lot of thought and think its better to apply as a family so that He can come and visit anytime.

My major question is whether he also needs to do medicals and Police report?

Thanks.

Hello Nairalanders, ( My 4th time of posting this), no response since i have been posting. Please, can someone help!!!

I am a newbie and I have been a silent reader for some time. smiley
Thank you to all the people in this group who take out time to respond to inquiries and posts.

I am applying through the paper route for a study permit in Canada, I choose the paper route because I am also applying with my company and i have a lot of documentation that i will be submitting that would not all go as an online application. I also run my business along with my husband. He will be running the business while I am away with the kids. But we choose to apply for visiting visa so that he can come and visit me and the kids anytime. And so, I am also applying alongside with my husband and two kids for a visitors visa.

My question is this, do I need to do medicals and Police report for himself and my kids? I want to do upfront medicals.

I look forward to your swift response.

Thank you.

Hello Nairalander,

I have been a silent reader. I need your help the seniors in the group.
I am applying for a study permit for myself and visitors visa for my husband and kids as well.
On one of the forms, specifically on the IMM 5832 E 1 for - on page 1 (Open study permit - for accompanying children aged 6-
18 years old - no separate application form is required)

Does it mean that I do not need to fill a study permit form for my 1st son who is a minor and just clocked 6 years?

Please i look forward to your response.
Thanks
