🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

U need a win, got a goal around 70 minutes and still maintained a lean midfield of 2 men knowing too well that the opponent will try to push forward with all they hv to get an equalizer? This is the area I think Chelle got it wrong
I think Chelle knows how careless our players can be reason he was trying to get one more goal I can’t blame him Shebi na tactics Abi no be so 😂 but wetin our players sef Dey look dem no wan go World Cup?

At work yesterday when I got the notification that 9ja hv scored via LiveScore with around 20 something minutes to go I was like “Yes it’s done” with hope that the win is sealed, done and dusted

Got another notification and I was like 9ja don score again only to check my fone and saw 1-1 90 something minutes baba my mood change immediately

To me make we just comot mind for this World Cup matter and focus on afcon cus its mission impossible 🤦‍♀️
Same here I went to pick my wife from work around the 80th min cos I was so confident 3 points was in the bag only to check my phone when I got home to see 1:1 the thing do me like film o. Away to Rwanda that is even high altitude we held them all through the second half to secure the 2-0 scorline. It was just sheer carelessness from the boys, same as the Rwanda game in uyo when they came from behind to win us 2-1 no wonder the Zimbabwe coach had the audacity to say if there was more time they would have won us yesterday. All games against SA, Rwanda and Zimbabwe in Uyo were all under different coaches but similar results, we should all note this before we turn on the coaches or nff

Many are mentioning names of players that failed yesterday but to me the person that should take 100% of the blame is the coach and his crew

Didn’t watch the game yesterday due to commitments but from the info I got after the game Chelle bleeped up big time

You desperately need a win which is 3 points which u were on the verge of getting but ignorantly threw that away. As a coach managing a team in such desperate position in the group what matters for now is winning your games but not destroying your opponents with mind blowing score lines like 3-0,4-0 etc, what matters most judging by the teams position in the group is winning as much as they can

When the team got the goal in the second half the ideal thing to do is sub in more bodies to the midfield and defence to protect the lead as well as hit the opponent on counter attack when there is opportunity for that

Chelle is a good tactician but the problem he has is he is desperate to impress his employers and super eagles fans by winning pretty with big goal margins forgetting that his major focus should be on getting 3 points in each game by hook or crook ie by any means

He is new to the job and it will take a bit of time for the players to adapt to his tactics and philosophy but till then he should focus on winning games in this ongoing WCQ series and pray that other teams in the group drop points
Oga charles you be my man but this coach blame format don cast o e no Dey work again!

Which tactics remain make we Dey concede for 90th minute does the coach need to remind the players of the importance of the maximum 3 points? Abeg na we don blame paseiro, finidi, eguavoen all coaches them including nff. If a player is tired Shebi he can make signs to the coach to be substituted or kuku fall to the ground to waste time, Oga charles coach no follow for this one o

if you like come and beat me or insult me on this my take, i go swear for you….all of you can blame NFF and coach but i will blame the players…if you interview osimhen, going by his rage yesterday after the game he will tell you his team mate are 100% to be blamed…that game was ours yesterday to win
Iwobi ballooning ball inside box 18 anyhow into the crowd
Chukwueze ballooning ball inside box 18 anyhow into the crowd
Ndidi only sweet opportunity inside box 18 could not aim and target at goal
Lookman though was very active but trying to play and score those kinda solo goals he scores for atalanta but failed at it severally
Ekong no fit clear ball or charge a striker off our box 18, till they got a goal…
Super eagles let themselves down….
CHELLE was on point with his substitution, nothing wey anybody wan tell me.
These same players went away to beat Rwanda.
When they win it is obviously Osimhen effort, when they play poor game it is NFF and coach mistake…tufiakwa!!…for Chelle to success all players need to be a fighter like Osimhen.
There was a particular point 3defenders try to all their best to wrestle Osimhen, the guy was fighting back…see this is Africa and thats how everyone on that squad should play…fight aggressively
fight!
fight!
fight!!
If you like invite Uche,Dessers,Onyeka,Orban, if they cant fight aggressively like Osimhen, na NFF las las una go stil blame…
Anyways im entitled to my opinion, we are 1point behind 2nd and 3rd team and 6points behind SA with 4more games to go…..
Until match day 10 before i go comot eyes for world cup….you all can prepare for Afcon oo its your choice, but as for MinFelix, im still playing my WCQ to win games starting from the;
Nig v Rwa(play well and beat them) to SA v Nig(play well and draw them) to Les vs Nig(Play well and beat them) to Nig v Ben(play well and beat) o pari…if Afcon time reach i go start dey prepare for that one
The blame of nff and coaches is always an excuse by some people here for their crap favourite players to continue to get invited. They just want status quo to remain, nonsense and ingredients 😂 players wey no fit dive head ball like osihmen na players be those ones? Make we continue Dey lie to ourselves

Chelle has his faults for yesterday's results but the damage was done way before he came. Eric is a decent manager who I think will improve the team but he needs to remove players who can't deliver asap.

How can a group of supposed experienced players not have the sense and urgency to lock things down in the 89th minute!!? So all the Haram football they learned last year counts for nothing?

SMH again!
That’s why those blaming the coach and nff are not fair, we should be 2nd in the group now. Nff and coach alone can’t take the boot for this lai lai

it is the coach that is meant to create the formations and game plays that leads to the players scoring goals and how they defend and how they keep possession..

that's why in my paranoid mind I believe either Eguavoen ( the technical director ) or a group of people in the NFF are the ones forcing the coaches to use certain formations which end up giving the SE same bad results.
Please stop this, abeg don’t bring Eguavoen or nff into this, nobody can spin this. The players brought us to where we are today and if by the next game half of these players are still invited then we are not serious as a country. A game like this must have consequences and must begin from the players taking full responsibility. Our mediocre players cannot continue to hide under nff management and coaches to produce such crappy play. I will even have more respect for players who decline invites than to come and counting their legs for us.

The world isn’t producing prolific players like the 90s and 2000s anymore
Have you seen a Roberto Carlos with crazy free kicks in modern times
Although Isak gives a little Thierry Henry vibes
We don’t have Ronaldinho dribblers anymore
Lagos fans would’ve destroyed their bus by now lol
Some of our players are not mentally tough
I don’t see us beating South Africans
I feel for Osimhen & a few hardworkers in the team
Blame NFF
It’s a corrupt body. Everything from coach selection to players selection
They’d probably cut the coach’s salary too for commissions
Crazy
Tikitaka caused the mess and some great players of the past has said it. The over emphasis on teamwork which is not bad in itself over what individual brilliance can still bring to a team is responsible for the lack of enough prolific players these days as players have become more robotic in their play, there will always be debates but that’s the damn truth. For the first time I found the last euros so boring except for the heroics of yamal.

As for the mental toughness of our players that’s been an issue for some years now but can we blame them much? cos you can’t give what you don’t have, simple it’s time to call it what it is let them give way to others who can try just like they were given the opportunity too

It is the coach that has the power to substitute players...

if the coach would rather be stubborn and leave tired players on the pitch to defend when there are fit players on the bench then it is the coach's fault..

Ekong, Iwobi, Bassey, Lookman, Aina are foreign born players which means they cannot handle 90mins of Nigerian heat or African heat on the field so them playing more than 65 - 70 mins should be an abomination...

Nigerian players with the attitude of Onyeka who can run all over field should be the ones getting invited.

Foreign born players are good but they should not be allowed to play full match especially since they will start the next match.

NFF and most Nigerians don't consider players fatigue and tiredness from previous matches can affect their performances..
For how long we will continue blaming coaches, the same eagles lost to Rwanda in uyo, drew SA in uyo haba! different coaches but same result of inability to win at home!

And if we have players who can’t cope with our weather does that not mean we need a new approach for selection of players? Apart from the World Cup proper most of our competitions and matches will always be on the continent and with African opposition so where do we go from here? Keep inviting players who can’t last for more than 65 mins and keep losing games at home?

If we fail (and we most likely will) to qualify for the 2026 World Cup, it won't be hard to predict exactly what's going to happen in the future.

We'll most likely go ahead and employ another Grade C foreign coach who's going to be successful in qualifying us for the 2030 World Cup.

After we get knocked out in the Round of 16, we're going to tell him that we don't need him anymore and also tell him that the only reason he was able to qualify us for the World Cup was because of the plethora of "star players" that we have 😂. We won't remember that he saved us from our inability to qualify for two back-to-back World Cup editions. We won't remember that he qualified us with relative ease. It'll be a repeat of the Gernot Rohr situation but with more emphasis on World Cup qualification/performance.

After sacking the new Grade C foreign coach whilst still owing him a lot of money, we'll go on another unsuccessful spree of employing mediocre local coaches who do nothing impressive to improve themselves apart from waiting for the National Team job to fall on their laps.

This cycle will keep repeating itself. The fact is we don't deserve any better. We deserve exactly what we're going through right now. We are not ready for progress. You can disagree with me all you want but it's not gonna change anything (Zilch, Nada).

THE TRUTH IS INDEED BITTER, and we're in this position because some people (especially those in the media and NFF) have refused to embrace it for what it is.
We are a bunch of arrogant people who will never give credit to whom is due but continue to deceive ourselves and you’re right we will keep driving away coaches who have indeed improved our football all in the excuse of boring football and looking for a tikitaka that we don’t even have the players to execute. It’s a cycle like you said and I did predict it here after Afcon and it has happened. You see that media they are the greatest culprit always misleading Nigerians on what they think is best for our football when in truth they keep damaging it further.

Osimhen's fire and fiery passion has been there since his U17 days. He is the lad with the biggest winning Mentality in the team. The one who will run 90mins+ non-stop. The only other player on this team who can run 90mins+ non stop like Victor is Frank Onyeka who wasn't invited.

Victor is the perfect archetype of the warrior you take into your biggest battles.

I feel most sad because unless some miracle occur, we won't see Africa's best and most dreaded Number 9 at the World Cup.

The first 2 are ball playing midfielders who will do a good job, I am convinced but no... we keep snubbing this "conundrum" coach after coach nd after coach.

I know we are frustrated with that result, but some of my permutations now that things have settled.

1. The talk of Uyo being cursed doesn’t really hold weight to me. We had enough chances to finish this match off in the first 45 mins. If we really think Lagos should be our main stadium, then it behooves the NFF to rehabilitate it and bring it up to FIFA standards.

2. We really need to scout for a ball playing midfielder that can take the pressure out of games in the end. Kill the tempo and secure points.

3. I don’t think FIFA will deduct the 3pts from SA for fielding an ineligible player. I think Motsepe will do some behind door politicking. Regardless, our players need to focus on winning out and giving themselves a chance, no matter how slim that chance is.

4. We should push on with Chelle through AFCON and beyond. This constant chopping and changing of managers does no one any good. WCQ will have finished by the time AFCON comes around. Barring an early exit, he should be given time to develop a system and pattern of play for AFCON 25 and 27.
That lack of ball playing midfielders or players has been our bane, reason I will never fancy tikitaka which we keep forcing down on our team. If we were more direct today we would have secured the 3 points
