Hehe... omo the V- strong die... very green and hot. Markets at all time high again. This market is irrationally irrational.
Again, I see why the evidence favours passive investing- whether DCA or lump sum.
With the strait of Hormuz closed again by Iran, next week may be bumpy again. Omo na wa!

I am convinced that 1994 team would probably have reached the final or even won bloody everything if they didnt starve Yeking on purpose and if they just did not sabotage themselves vs Italy.

Yekini was indeed the best athlete of that generation. No one came close. Not Okocha, not Oliseh, Not Amunike... Not even Finidi. Yekini was the most outstanding athlete of that golden era and our arrowhead of destruction. He would have scored more than 37.
Is it not still what’s happening now and when some people point it out there will be all sorts of self righteous arguments! I will always point out the World Cup winning 2002 Brazilian team who did everything to ensure Ronaldo d Lima surpassed Pele goal record for the national team and still end up winning the competition. That’s the right mentality any serious team will have no matter who the coach is cos at the end it’s the entire team and nation takes the glory but personal glory hunting will always come short of any team potential.

I feel bad for Yekini cos in this social media and punditry era the gangling striker will be reaping heavily from all those years of hard toiling. Very sad!

I posted something like this on X to reply one clown saying Lookman's mentality shows how he's different from Osimhen due to the club he joined.

Dem dey propose to cut Osimhen salary by less than half, Lookman got 6x increase from the one he earned at Atalanta them dey talk rubbish.

The same Lookman that was just 1 hour away from joining Fenerbahçe had Atlético Madrid not increased their offer. Mtcheww.
Exactly if athletico didn’t increase their offer he would have headed to fernabache! His personal terms was surely a motivation! A player at 28 for that matter to go and collect guguru for wetin!

I don't think Nigerians are any more greedy than Brits or anyone else. There are always reports of one fraud or another and the vast majority aren't Nigerians. There's nothing about a couple of Nigerians doing whatever that justifies any bigotry, except for people looking for an excuse ab initio.

One thing that's often missed in these discussions is the sheer number of Nigerians, which means that in the same way we will be overrepresented in positive things (academic achievement, sports, entertainment etc.) we're likely to also form an outsized proportion of negative things as well. It's just statistics.
The honest truth is these sorts of things doesn’t help our community in any way, it was a small number of people who engaged in bringing fake dependents all in the name of student visas that made the govt curtailed students from bringing in dependents, it was cos bandits despite how small the population is that also led to the ban of overseas care workers, we can keep saying oh other nationalities are involved but like I always say it’s the innocent and diligent ones that will always bear the brunt of these issues and no matter how much we cry that the policy makers are bigots it won’t help our cause in any way!

Folks praising lookman aggravates my mood. Where was this Lookman form during the World Cup qualifiers. If it weren’t for Victor Osimhen Nigeria would never have made the playoffs let alone the World Cup . Anybody that watched him during the early qualifiers phase could see the lack of chemistry between lookman and Victor boniface. I could care less how a player performs in Europe. Mine is just do well for Nigeria whenever you are called up.
That Boniface matter was the most pathetic I remember how some of us lamented heavily about that issue. But let’s just move on as it’s all in the past.

Serious,am hearing it for the first time that eagles handlers are complaining about Lookman defending,so they're not complaining about Alex Iwobi the least eagles defending.
Elder sir you take things too serious what’s the big deal about complaints about Lookman if players like Iwobi have also been complained about too make people no talk anything about Lookman again?

Nope,Osimhen offside issue na from Ojota days not about Serie A or you forgot how his goals were ruled offsides during 2023 Afcon and this is due to his fast movements
Even in the national team there have been complaints about Lookman defensive end too, so it’s not just a serie A thing, remember the excuse every coach in our national team keep giving about Simon regular presence in our national side is his defensive abilities.

Me I don’t have issues about Lookman defending or even osihmen offside cos both players still get their job done. I no Dey get time for too much analysis that leads to paralysis jor!

All the while, they were buying those uk properties, buying apartments in lekki, regular exotic HOLIDAYS, changing cars like water ...... They always attributed it to GOD...... 😂😁

Awon money na water people grin saw on social media how someone was accusing her sister in the UK of sending just 500 pounds for her wedding in Nigeria, na people like this dey cause this kind wahala.

We are a greedy people; we cry about oppression, but we keep making things difficult for ourselves and others. I am honestly tired as we keep giving far-right politicians a justified reason for all their madness. These folks am sure are also British nationals, but it was clearly written that they are Nigerian nationals. Crime is global, no doubt, but we forget that no matter our immigration status, any negative act will continue to be used against us to deny us opportunities, no matter our status.

Fair enough. I feel the knock on Lookman being subbed off almost everytime is overstretched. It does not in anyway indicate or give "bad baller" vibes, it is just the tactical decision of one of the modern game's most ultra-defensive coaches, Simeone.

The man who replaced Lookman is more defensively astute as he's played LB, LWB, RWB, LM, etc... so Simeone just made a decision to protect his advantage. Lookman did his job as the attacking weapon that he is and his goal is the reason Atletico are in the semis. That is truly what matters.
Even Simeone admitted during the post-match conference that they have never had a player like Lookman with his kind of ability (taking player one-on-one), so I think they may have to adjust to his play down the line as they maintain their defensive shape. It's a win-win for them.

Osimhen offside Lookman defensive😎I think ATM tactics made it looks like that cuz Atalanta never complained about his defending even Super eagles.
Yeah, because Serie A teams have a consistent philosophy of being tight at the back while offensive players do their job, but ATM na mass defence tactics, so Mola needs time to adjust. Do I like it? Never, but you have to please your employer, and I think the player, from some of his goal clearance moves in that game, is learning very fast.

lOh you think I agreed,I dey pull lonecitizen leg ni baba.

Lookman scored a goal that put ATM through instead of praising him for job well done na his defending display be the issue...

My question that you guys never answered me...how many Nigeria top players una dey review their overall inputs like Lookman?

Haba, champions league quarter final match against Barcelona and our boy made the difference but here we're talking about his defending ability...Why he is not having 90 minutes on the field?bla bla.
😂 elder how many top players we get sef e pass Lookman and osihmen? na Abi na chuks be top player? Even Iwobi is just somewhere.

Please cool down Lookman is still settling into the Athletico set up which is quite different from Atalanta or the serie A where he is coming from and for me so far he’s making progress but let’s not alway be too touchy any time questions are being asked I even responded earlier that he’s fulfilled his role in the game while other players should fulfil theirs. It’s like osihmen offside awareness that’s always being questioned from time to time so elder relax our boy is doing good and that’s what matters!

I wasn't expecting this method from them, shame marriage is their usual route, COS is unaffordable now to many so they have to look for another backdoor
Once a route is becoming difficult they always look for the next route with loopholes, the marriage sham has been casted! The asylum route through gay rights has always been exploited cos claiming asylum through the route of how terrible your home country is has also been casted! Even in Canada some months ago there was a story about a Nigerian pastor who even got police report to claim he was being persecuted for being gay 😂 so this format has become popular recently now it has finally casted! On to the next one!

Exactly! Immigrants are always at the wrong end of everything that is going wrong in the country, very convenient to suggest a policy that will further place more restrictions on immigrants who are already struggling to navigate the system
In all let folks educate themselves properly about driving rules, the psychology here is different as everyone expects compliance from each other unlike back home in naija where we all assume everyone on the road is a mad man! Honestly I now understand better why there is a theory test before practical. Let those just arriving the country and who are eager to drive asap begin to study for the theory test immediately not to just pass but to quickly understand driving in the uk, it helps greatly, talking from experience!

Wow, this is terrible. Even if one is allowed to drive for a year with a foreign licence, it's advisable to at least study and understand all the rules of the road in the UK asap. If this had been well understood, this accident would have been avoided. The theoretical understanding is as improtant as passing the practical driving test. Not knowing who had the right of way was what led to this disaster.
