HustlaOfLagos: It is the fault of immigrants.. they are no longer coming to our Universities despite our consistently harsh rhetoric and insults over the past 3 years.
They also are taking our jobs while also claiming benefits at the same time even though it is clearly written on their visas that we issued this is not possible
Dem go explain tire 😂 hunger is a global issue Everywhere blurrrr!

justwise: @All
Are we following what is happening in South Africa? I mean recent videos i have been seeing is concerning.
At this point i don't think that the South African govt can stop this moving, they are not after just illegal immigrants even legal ones with papers are being harassed and told straight away to leave South Africa.
The recent protest called March to March was massively attended. Very good let every migrant leave and let’s see where it takes them 😂 Malema once told a story how they chased away some migrants traders selling tomatoes in a particular place and the locals could not replace them and later they started complaining they were not seeing tomatoes to buy again. Foolish idiots |

Napoleon55: So is the ex internationals that's doing business with super eagles players or is it the NFF?
If there are foreign Borns somewhere who are on pal / better than what we have,or have the potential to become one, they are welcomed. But if you think by flooding our national team with just foreign born players would lead us to glory or return us to glory days, you are mistaken.
Our greater chance stood on solid foundation of our youth teams system and the right integration of the very best our foreign Borns. You can't just abandon the home grown players entirely.
People should check the performances of our various age group teams from 1983 to 1993 and see how it reflected to the super eagles team afterwards. 😂 you’re just going here and there but it’s good you’re just echoing the same reason I highlighted why the nff won’t be be going after talents in the diaspora like the way some of our fellow African teams are now doing |

Kog45: Fact,we missed two consecutive world cup outings?big question where did we got it wrongs?time to reflect on that, not all these foreign or home born bla bla.
Despite the influx of foreign born we failed to make it to world cup again....I think you're so engrossed with anything foreign and reason why you're castigating the same Eguavoen that gave Bassey and Lookman their debuts in all important WC qualifying match.....If you don't know local coaches gave Balogun Leon,Troost Ekong,Alex Iwobi,Calvin Bassey, Ademola Lookman,Semi Ajayi the needed chances but to you they hate foreign born abi....from time immemorial Naija don dey use foreign born, players like Tunji Banjo,John Chiedozie, Reuben Agboola,Efan Ekoku,John Orlando a Ghanian who was our family friend when I was small, fact he won Afcon 1980 with eagles and represented Nigeria in Olympics...Oga Goke you too dey drag our ex internationals, they're entitled to their opinions.
On making money from players transfer,we shouldn't go there cuz I have enough facts how it's run by both foreign and local coaches who have handled Nigeria teams... let's just hope for better eagles and support Chelle cuz not making WC with two recent APOTY winners call for questioning Before you guys continue to throw stones at me let’s always make sure we stick to the context of the matter which is why we aren’t taking enough advantage of the immense talent we have in the diaspora which is what coach Elyte was asking how come other countries are able to clear so many foreign borns so swiftly and Nigeria can’t. Elder I have listened to so many of our sports journalists and ex players and many of them are not favourably disposed to having these guys around like that o na for nairaland I see the immense passion to have these guys. There is this assertion and view that we shouldn’t flood the national team with these guys as some of them according to these pundits may not have the true Nigerian spirit, do I agree with them of course not am only bringing to the fore the reason we may not be seeing the nff taking in so much of these lads or being lackadaisical in doing so but may be just few but going the entire way like we see other African teams now doing am not sure and that’s where am coming from! |

Napoleon55: Like which ex players do you think hate foreign born players? I remember Eguavoen featured Lookman and Bassey who were coming for the first time in an all important world cup match against Ghana,I guess if a foreign coach would have tried that. Even Oliseh, Siasia have all given chances to the foreign Borns.
You are the one that actually have bias against ex internationals because you believed that Osimhen is better, or is going to be greater than all the ex internationals, which I wish for the later to happen though, but until then, let's learn to respect our heroes and legends. Oga many Nigerians don’t believe in this foreign born thing including our sports journalists and yes ex internationals inclusive who have also become players agents, if you like believe whatever! That some were given chances in the past doesn’t negate that. How do you think Nigerian coaches will do business and make money from players transfers abroad if they flood the national team with foreign born talent. These are the issues, not anything personal from me jor wetin be my own 😂 Is it not the same Eguavoen that was advocating for home based players in the national team recently? or you have forgotten? 😂 |

elyte89: The way dis countries clear players with ease ,sometimes make we wonder if our administrators are doing the right things…if we re to clear just one player , it will take years b4 it gets done while some African countries clears deir intended players with ease, so tey dr Congo invited players yet to be cleared and eventually got cleared a day to their match It has been said that the nff is not favourably disposed to foreign born players like that! The only nff chairman that was ready to go all the way back then was Amaju! In fact just wait for some of these our ex players to become nff chairman na that day Una go know say the hatred they have for foreign born players no be here 😂! |

elyte89: A rumor suggests that the NFF is exploring an unlikely alternative route for the Super Eagles to qualify for the World Cup. The scenario estimated at around a 2% chance depends on teams like Italy, Denmark, and Turkey winning their playoffs to qualify directly, followed by Iran potentially withdrawing due to the ongoing war. In that case, it is speculated that FIFA could select the highest-ranked available team, possibly Nigeria, as a replacement, based on the assumption that there is no strict rule requiring a withdrawn team to be replaced by another from the same continent.

Lexusgs430: The United Kingdom, is spending £330 Billion per year on benefits, more than they receive from income taxation....... 😉🤔
Imagine receiving £329 Billion from income tax and spending £330 Billion on benefits...... What a very crazy country...... 🤔 This benefits fraud have been going on for too long in this country and looks like even folks in govt one time or the other have all been a part of it cos tell me how they all continue to turn a blind eye to it. I know there were measures in the past to address it but looks like there’s now a consensus to make it look like an helpless situation and rather put the blame somewhere else! From the story posted here it was just a bad belle situation that got that fraud reported! Cos if the govt is serious we should gradually be seeing a number reduction in those reliant on benefits and getting back to work but no, more people are rather claiming disability or physically sick! |

lexyman: It doesn’t feel like a World Cup that will truly capture the usual excitement. Beyond the FIFA verdict news many of us waited for, the euphoria seems to have faded. It’s not simply because the Super Eagles are not participating; rather, there is a general feeling that something isn’t quite right about this tournament.
The energy, anticipation, and global unity that normally define a World Cup appear subdued. If things continue this way, this edition could be remembered as one of the least inspiring in recent times. More than football celebrations, the world seems to be longing for peace, stability, and moments that genuinely bring people together again.....maybe na only me dey feel that way . @Elyte @Supernerd @ other great minds in the house ... HOW DO YOU GUYS FEEL ? Once the event starts the excitement will kick in automatically the only thing that may ruin it a bit is low stadium attendance of fans and supporters due low due to US visas restrictions issues, and I hope that won’t happen |

elyte89: If Morocco had been the one to file this kind of petition, FIFA would have had no choice but to properly open and address the case. The unity within 🇲🇦 is undeniable ;look at the recent trophy decision. There’s been no public backlash from their journalists or citizens questioning its legitimacy. They stand together and defend their interests collectively.
In contrast, when it comes to Nigeria’s case against DR Congo, we see the opposite. Some of our own sports journalists and citizens were quick to criticize the NFF, accusing them of trying to reach the World Cup through the “backdoor.” This lack of unity weakens our position. A divided front makes it easier for external bodies to dismiss us without serious consideration.
From the outset, FIFA didn’t take Nigeria’s petition seriously, and our internal divisions only reinforced that. If we had collectively amplified our voices media, stakeholders, and citizens alike demanding a timely and fair review, FIFA would have been compelled to properly treat the case. Even if the outcome didn’t favor us, at least we would have had sufficient time to escalate the matter to CAS and pursue justice.
At this point, it wouldn’t be surprising if Jamaica is already preparing a similar petition should the need arise. FIFA’s response to Nigeria suggests there was merit in the case, and others may now look to take advantage of that precedent. Do you think many people want to see Nigerian progress football-wise? But for some, there will be nothing to criticise again when the team does well. I know some people who said that if Nigeria qualifies for the World Cup, it will make the NFF not sit up or improve, so they would rather see the team fail. That's how stupid they think, as they can only justify their destructive criticism when the team fails, see the Afcon, until after the game against Morocco, that's how some folks started calling the names of some players for not winning the Afcon. Yes, many are happy when we do well, but since 2013, when we won the AFCON, and I heard and saw many saying we were just lucky to dismiss all the efforts of the coach and players, that's when I knew many actually don't like to see the Eagles excel; it's what it is. We just like to nag, complain, and attack people, whether they are right or wrong. All those who accused Nigeria of trying to use the back door have been struggling to know where to stand on the CAF ruling in favour of Morocco And true, our sports journalists and bloggers in cahoots with our ex players are the greatest headache of our football, the NFF just panders to their whims! |
