NSC/NFF/Federal Government should give us atleast 3/4 Uyos across the federation so we can host tournaments

I think we currently have 3 fifa approved stadia in Uyo, Abeokuta and the remo stars stadium in ikenne. There is an ongoing stadium renovation in kaduna too. We can host any tournament as long as money Dey to quickly renovate all our major stadia.

Truth is govt can’t be relied upon to maintain our stadia it will take collaboration with the private sector to make that happen but for as long as sports is still seen as a social service and not a business then forget it no matter how we cry and shout.

Arguing that the media is ruining our hosting prospects is only tenable for image problems, not for engineering and logistical ones. They will physically walk through your stadiums and check your pitch quality, floodlights, changing rooms, hotel capacity, road networks, airport logistics etc etc. If the infrastructure fails, no amount of "good PR" changes what an inspector notes down about your facilities.

Truth is we can host as our insecurity now is mostly in rural areas and not in cities that will host the matches.

The major issue is the media and how we project ourselves as a country. Many will also argue it’s a waste of public funds when many are hungry
