TheGoodJoe: We did that with Rohr and Peseiro, and the take of people, including you is that we have forgotten how to play ball. How will continuing in that path help us? and the four games with Finidi? |

Starboytwo: For comparism sake.
I was of the opinion that Afcon was more sweeter. Good Football, Goals, passion etc.
I have not really put body for this Euro, only livescore, highlights and news. A friend here disagree and feels this Euro dwarf the afcon with e. G level of football. He said all small European teams are not small again. Every nation now na baller etc.
But we've seen less goal overall in Euro, Big teams not sparking etc.
Your opinions pls. most of the group games in the euros were very dry, though it may be due to much fatigue for the players from a grueling club football season. |

Our forecast group we were all in on Switzerland because Italy attack and midfield was dead in the water and lacked intensity but if the game reached extra time or pk Italy will win was that game an upset or not? |

That was a clean premeditated goal so make we all rest
England weren’t of to a good start but picking Switzerland over them is diabolical to say the least shebi that's how Italy was also picked over the Swiss, except the English do far better than what we saw today they can't beat that Swiss team. |

Starboytwo: where I sat, I could smell a goal. I kept hoping the scoreline remain same. Lobotka made a bad clearance. (I wonder why he no BUL DE the ball go front) instead gave walker another long throw. Reminiscent of Essien mis "Bu de" to Iniesta to volley home winner 2009.Barca-chel.
immediately Jude score, Chai, (and I don mis yarn for thread) I stand up, do transfer for waitress. I never Waka 10 steps I hear another GOAL. I know say na England. I never gave Slovakia a chance but from what they played in the first half, mhen they were good, I think they felt home and dry forgetting they were on the next biggest stage of football after the World Cup. |

EEGA: Stop doubting this team.
They have to the potential to get to the Semi-finals of this tournament.
They just need to start Toney,Eze and Palmer.Let Watkins also see some minutes from the bench in their next games. If Slovakia was not careless, you won't be saying this |

But truth be told, I'm not impressed by England. They are sluggish, unsure of themselves. They lack the fire of directness. At times I feel it's deliberate to get at the coach, can't believe what they play at times |

TheSuperNerd: Truth be told, this English team has the quality. I said it from the beginning of the tournament in their opener against Serbia but their issue is the stiffling coaching of Southgate.
This England lead is as a result of the players pushing. Not down to any Southgate magic and because this is their case, they may not survive a stronger, better, technically superior and more tactical opponent.
England is lucky to be in this half of the round of 16 draws. The other half houses the true powerhouses that could hurt them but even at that, their path is still not all safe. they will have a huge task against Switzerland, the Swiss I saw against Italy will be a tougher customer |

TheGoodJoe: The point is improvement. At the moment, our midfield is dross and for years, since Rohr, we have not progressed as a playing unit.
You can decide to grow or keep staying stagnant going the way of Rohr and Peseiro.
I saw we work towards improvement and working towards the possession game mastery is the approach. we don't have the players. Tell me that super eagle player that can take the initiative to change the course of a game by charging at the opposition, the answer is none, that's why we keep struggling against so-called minnows, the last time I saw such a player was Victor Moses. The only person that can do something similar now is an osihmen. All these Onyedika and co you keep mentioning don't have it in them, we are trying to force players to do what's not in them. I am sorry you don't know better than rohr or Paseiro, they know Nigeria doesn't have such players. Before 2018 world cup rohr lamented the absence of midfielders in Nigeria soccer in an interview, we all thought he was giving excuses for failure not knowing he was damn right. Let's be humble and start saying the truth, we no get players. |

TheGoodJoe: Peseiro did not use the players to their strength, that why Iwobi was not performing at his normal level and Onyedika was on the bench. Park bus is not growth or strength in anyway. Is sticking players in the box and hoping results go your way. In the end, years to come, the team can't play. Sooner the team gets exposed. Parking the bus got Morocco to the semi-final of the World Cup, if that's not growth, I wonder what it is. Oga joe perish that thought abeg. Morrocco did not start playing football yesterday, they've been knocking the ball around for donkey years but never got past the first round. Parking the bus elevated their football profile, simple. |
