All the pent up anger from oliseh is because Nigerians condemned his tv commentary job. To him who are Nigerians to tell him how to do his job!

The respect accorded the 94 set is fading off faster due to the foolish talk coming out their mouth in the last 2years.

I know it's not all but fo they have some unaware level of cognitive dissonance up their sleeves or what? undecided
Most of them haven’t built anything much post playing career!

Sometimes it’s difficult to believe that a Mike emenalo was among this 94 set. The difference is too clear! Even Efan Ekoku

There is no formation without weaknesses. There is no system that cannot be countered. Relying on wing forwards also means weakening the midfield and progressing the ball mostly through the wings which concedes the middle game to the opponents.

Also, this thing you've been going on about bringing in wing-forwards like it's one big bright tactical adjustment, Eric Chelle did it. He brought in Moses Simon on the left wing to shore it up and support Bruno due to the way Hakimi and Diaz were double-teaming on him.

In all your criticism of Eric Chelle for the Morocco game, you have never acknowledged the biased officiating. The Moroccans foul-baited the referee for the entire 120 mins duration of our game, and he fell for it every time. He gave them soft fouls but turned a blind eye to the blatant fouls they committed against us, and even refused to card them, and this impeded us from playing our game.

By the way, do you know what winning the Bronze medal in the AFCON means for Eric Chelle, the coach you're not convinced with? The implicit implication of that finish is that Eric Chelle was the third best coach out of the 24 that participated in the competition, and on the African continent.

Also, given a choice between Walid Regragui and Eric Chelle, I will pick Chelle from a tactical standpoint. The former's team huffed and puffed throughout the competition and were never convincing even in victory despite the officiating-help and home support, and that's the reason many Moroccans are calling for his sack.

Eric Chelle on the other hand gave the Super Eagles a playing identity. A press from front playing style that chokes the opponents, does not allow them time on the ball and results in lots of turnovers and dominant possession In addition, he brought new nicks to our game by moving the ball through the middle, and not the wings like we're used to playing.

The Super Eagles played with fluidity and almost psychic understanding. Another often underappreciated but important mark of good coach which Eric Chelle exhibited in this AFCON but does not get enough credit for is the personal improvement he brought on the players. Bruno, Osayi, Bassey, Ajayi, Ndidi, Iwobi and Onyeka raised their games and were all unplayable this AFCON. That's what Eric Chelle has brought to the team. Is that the coach who has not convinced you?

It's almost like you're on a paid "agenda" to discredit the coach and the team because your stance fails by every objective metric. Lest I forget, I asked you to suggest a good and convincing 50k/month coach for the Super Eagles but since then na radio silence. I still dey wait....
@The bolded, spot on 💯 we are not giving Chelle enough credit on the impact on the players mentioned and even others. Even Lookman becoming the tournament’s best play maker is to the credit of Chelle.

I hope in future games we will put the blame right where it is when we lose or don’t do well cos this is indeed a true revelation. Let no one make excuses or blame another player when our play maker switches off cos that will be unfair.

Comprehension is your problem
I'll screenshot fifa rules on eligibility, so you understand better
But let me just explain it in a lay man term:
In fifa rules being from a country is not enough
Having ties to a country is not enough
Holding/submitting a passport to fifa is not enough
The rules state that before submitting a passport to fifa all administrative requirements of that country must have been fulfilled before submitting a passport
FIFA can withdraw clearance from a player to play to play from a country if the passport He submitted to fifa if found fraudulent.

Now to the congolese case:
What is the administrative requirements for one to get a passport?
You must hold one nationality, dual nationality is not allowed, clearly stated in there constitution (administrative requirements)
Holding another passport alongside the Congolese passport, makes you not even a citizen of that country (exceptions to 21 year olds)
You can't waive a constitution or apply it to a few
A constitution is binding, it can only be replaced or amended, and this process usually take time

What's Congolese law have to do with fifa rules now?
The administrative part, congo did not fulfill the administrative part of issuing the passports, to players who are dual nationals (as these Congolese players still hold other passports)
According to fifa that's fraudulent, looks like the passport were given to the players illegally without fulfilling all administrative processes.
FIFA is still binded to a countries law, fifa laws are not above a country laws.

If after all these explanations you don't understand, YOU NEED HELP🙂
On a normal day fifa shouldn’t be bothered about national laws but a situation where countries can be shameless to go against their own constitution then fifa needs to protect the integrity of the game if they see it that way sha!

ruling in favor of Congo DR, does not make FIFA ignore it's own laws. I don't see any potential conflicts here.
There will be cos many nations that have upheld their national laws even when it doesn’t favour them sport wise will start using the Congo example to ignore their national laws! When everything go scatter is when it starts upsetting the bigger soccer nations when smaller nations who were nobody start flogging them anyhow e go be like film and Na that day monkey go go market e no go return 😂

There is nothing wrong with countries relaxing their laws to accomodate sportsmen. That is a national matter. All FIFA wants to know is if you have legit document that proves you are a citizen and is cleared by that country. DR Congo has their minds fixated on the intercontinental play-offs
See there’s nothing wrong fifa ruling in Congo favour but get ready to see players playing for multiple countries and this judgement if it goes Congo way will be the final loophole countries will start exploiting Shebi na to give passport and prove connection to the country.

This guy just likes cooking up grammar to sound intelligent. I'm sorry but what is the essence of all the conundrum? Just to confuse the readers?
I mean what are the takeaways in the write up? NFF should start cheating too? Abi winning the Afcon is by entitlement? Somebody please enlighten me on what I missed
I just wonder, again I keep asking if our outing in this Afcon was a disgrace, if we are even honest both Senegal and Morocco have more depth and quality in their squad than ours with players even playing in better clubs than our players so is it a disgrace we lost to Morocco?

We need to isolate this current Afcon from the others the bronze that people are complaining about now if we haven’t won all the write ups will be more about Chelle being a bad coach 😂 but alas the general consensus is that he has done well so that agenda can’t fly! This is one of the best attacking Nigerian team we’ve seen in decades yet na bronze be our problem. Omo I tire for Nigerians nothing will ever satisfy them even if we win a title they will find another thing to murmur about. If we don’t like bronze then let’s kuku be exiting at the knockout final stages so we can cry and rant very well. It’s a disrespect to the team and the coaches for all their efforts to be reduced to being called mediocres for coming behind teams who are better in terms of players profile.

na wa o.... make e leave na him come be the solution .....because knife cut your hand , na to throw the knife away ? cho!

The 1994 generation denied Nigerian football many opportunities. The indiscipline within that group played a major role in the failures at both the 1994 and 1998 World Cups. Talent alone was not enough; poor attitude and internal conflicts cost the team dearly.
If Nigerian football is to move forward, former players—especially from that era—must learn to contribute logically and constructively, not emotionally. Unfortunately, many of their recent publications, media comments, and public outbursts are driven more by personal emotion than objective analysis, and this has not helped the game.
Experience should bring wisdom. What Nigerian football needs now is clear thinking, accountability, and development-focused contributions, not emotional reactions rooted in past grievances
The problem with some ex players is that despite the platform Nigeria gave them at the global stage they are still angry and bitter with the Nigerian state because of all sorts of things like unpaid allowances and other opportunities they feel they were denied of. Someone like oliseh is still angry with the nff and coach onigbinde of blessed memory for dropping him out of the 2002 World Cup squad. He still talks about it till today in some of his podcast, dude feels Nigeria still owes him a lot and hides behind objectivity to lash out at the country whenever the opportunity presents itself. He believes Nigeria will never do well in football until we atone for all our sins against him. He once said only his generation played for the best of clubs in Europe and since then according to him no Nigerian has been in the best of clubs whereas we’ve had players win league titles, champions league and Europa since then. No amount of reasoning will ever appease the likes of oliseh and other ex players and they will continue to take it out on the next generation of players until this world ends. I think it has a lot to do with how we are as a people, we are too unforgiving no matter how much you beg 😂

Hmm,Osimhen is eagles... Yes,only eagles player in history to yell at his mates, stop playing on the field, told coach to sub him out, after final whistle refused to join his mates and walked alone to the dressing room...even papa Yekini no fit, reason Siasia, Amokachie are waiting, maybe if we have 80% Osimhen in another player he wouldn't have reacted in that manner.

My grouse with Oliseh, why bringing the dead issue again to the extent of bringing out Finidi and Ikpeba stuffs, Osimhen already apologized to his team mates and they have moved on.Chelle and NFF did well by handling the situation very well.

I know Chelle would have learnt from what happened against Mozambique and he will surely do the needfuls, good we're having two to three players for a position which is good for the team.... Chelle just need to sit Osimhen down by always telling him calm down in any situation cuz you're important
Shebi when I said make osihmen leave the national team Una go Dey vex. The die is cast until the player leaves all this controversy won’t end. Oliseh is just leading the charge for the player to be axed out of the team no matter whatever has been resolved!

You may have the voice of reason but unfortunately the likes of oliseh don’t see it that way. Let the player make way so at least we don’t see more drama around the player again. But for as long he still plays for the national team folks like oliseh who evidently has so much bile against the player will continue to rile up Nigerians against him no matter how many goals he scored.

CIV in West Africa

SA in Southern Africa

Cameroon in Central Africa.

Let these countries rotate hosting Afcon.
Even Senegal and Ghana in west Africa can team up as co hosts. Nigeria is out for now until we solve our security issues. Angola is another good option with their oil money they can host or team up with another country like Gabon to host. Options Dey rather allowing the North Africans to hold everyone hostage. Ethiopia is another huge country that can host too.
