I expect them to but Tbh, they have the momentum so far. If that guy had connected well for that cross or if the crosser had pulled back instead of crossing, Tanzania would be 1 nil up easily. That was a real chance. The only big chance created so far. Morocco still trying to adjust.
That’s why I mentioned inexperience earlier it’s criminal to miss such a chance in a knockout game and it will haunt them!

Now they are down 1-0 😂 unless ruled offside

Tanzania haba. This one is very straightforward unless the world is about to end or Trump wants to remove their king in Morocco 😂

TheSuperNerd:
Please Obanterla should just stay out of it.

Whoever must win between SA and Cameroon should be the team that stops Morocco in the Quarters ABEG! VERY IMPORTANT coz Morocco is highly likely to make it past Tanzania.

Meanwhile, My Maroc Boys for the win today vs Tanzania because if not ehn, Rabat go burn and Goke7 and co go laff me dieee for this one and me I no fit escape this one because Maroc "na my powerhouse indeed" (but on a flip note, I go dey happy from a Nigerian angle ooo but the shame of losing to Tanzania go hurt first).

Now if Maroc wins as I expect them to, the plan is to knock them out in the Quarters thru SA/Cam because I know in my heart of hearts that should Morocco cross paths with Nigeria in the semis, the ref and CAF will do everything they can to favour Morocco that day unless we frustrate their plans by actually being better no matter what.

So Unless Obanterla or whoever favours a Maroc Quarter final destroyer, make im just no put eye.
😂 Boss I got you. Be assured you’re safe with me no matter who win. Morocco is indeed a powerhouse in Africa no debate about that!

I understand the purpose of your question and I will say it is not even the right question to ask to ascertain if indeed Tunisia is a North African Powerhouse because irrespective of the result, they are. Note the words, "North African powerhouse".

Mali are a west African titan in their own rights. I didnt say powerhouse, because we know who the powerhouses (aka gods) in West Africa are. Nigeria, Ghana, CIV, Senegal. That is all. Cameroun is not west africa.
Mali is right behind these 4 ahead of others like Burkina Faso, Gambia, Sierra Leone, Benin, Togo, etc.

In East Africa, they have their own regional powerhouses as well. But they are not African Powerhouses. Southern Africa is same. South Africa is a regional powerhouse but are not necessarily an African powerhouse. Are you getting it now? Not all regional powerhouses are African powerhouses in fooball.

Now, In this tie today, with how the balance of the game shifted in Tunisia's favour, with Mali down to 10 for most of the game, it was upsetting to see 10-man Mali overcome 11-man Tunisia. Truth be told. I liked the comeback but it was an upset.

But in more recent times, there is generally no upset when either of Mali or Tunisia beat the other because it is a game between a West African titan and a North African powerhouse.
Mali is a consistent KOs team at the Afcon. In last 4 afcons including this one, they also make the R016 or Quarters.
2023 Afcon - Quarters
2021 Afcon - Round of 16
2019 Afcon - Round of 16
Wont even touch on their 5 times semis appearances in 2002, 2012, 2013 and other past editions.

Tunisia in last 3 Afcons...
2023 - Group stage
2021 - Quarters
2019 - 4th place

They look equally matched and this was same outlook at Afcon 2021 when they clashed.

Now let me distinguish further...

Morocco is a North African Giant/Powerhouse and also the top ranked team in Africa today. Was it really upsetting to see Mali (ranked 8th in Africa) nick a point off them? Some may be stunned. Some may not be stunned. Depends on Current African football knowledge depth here.

Morocco is both a North African and African Powerhouse.
Nigeria is a West African and African Powerhouse.
Kenya is an Eastern African Powerhouse but not an African powerhouse.
Zambia is a Southern African powerhouse but not an African powerhouse.
Cameroun is a Central African powerhouse and also an African powerhouse.

I could go on. But I hope you get it now. I answered extensively to address every facet of the angle your question was asked to establish.
No wahala and thanks for the details, well explained. Kudos.

Just an observation though, North Africa is not even more than 7 countries, and that is even adding Sudan to it, which can be disputed, so calling a country a regional powerhouse among just 6 or 7 countries sounds funny to me, sha. It doesn't carry weight that much compared to the West, East, or the Southern Africa region, where they have many more countries for any nation to assert its dominant status in the region. Just my observation.

Exactly the immaturity I was referring to. Saying the truth about Tunisia now means I am Tunisian.

Anyway, I know it hurts to have slipped in the way you did. Downplaying our result vs Tunisia indirectly by talking up Tanzania as Nigeria's strongest opponent in C was a huge slip. Go and slip no more.

NB: Morocco will beat "Toughest Opponent" Tanzania by the way. Expect no miracles.
Boss, away from the yabis, I have a question for you, and I need an honest answer if you can

Do you see today's game final result as an upset?

You cannot dodge the wide implications of what that statement mean. You slipped. You really slipped. Except everyone plays dumb, what you meant is clear. Calling Tanzania toughest opponent we had in Group C when we also had Tunisia is you downplaying Tunisia and our result against them.

You said Tanzania is the toughest team we faced is our group. Indirectly that is you saying our win vs Tunisia means nothing. That is you downplaying our win over Tunisia.

Tunisia is a North African powerhouse, I said. You should also ignored my stance or disagreed and ended it there but you did not. You went as far as peronalizing a fact to me calling them my powerhouse

Look, The same way you feel you can say anything is the same way I can also choose to say what I wanna say. You dont tell me what to ignore and what not to.

And Nigeria's toughest opponent in Group C was Tunisia, not tanzania. That we made them looked ordinary does not alter that fact.
This is a false accusation and very disrespectful, it's a figment of your imagination cos I never mentioned this. My stance on Tunisia not being a powerhouse is based on some criteria, which I stated here some pages back in terms of how many AFCON trophies they had. Never did I mention anywhere where I downplayed our win against them. I had known this was what you were driving at but I waited for you to mention it cos I can see that that's what you were trying to drive at all along, and to prove what I don't even know.

And if I say Tanzania looks like the toughest we faced in our group, so what? Are you a Tanzanian or Tunisian? Why the defence on their behalf? Did we not beat both of them? Boss na you dey overthink, I don't even give a damn cos I don't have any affinity to any of these countries. None of my business!

You called them my powerhouse. You are still mockingly saying "powerhouse" and said Tanzania is a better opponent than them. That tells me what you are doing. You are not in agreement that they are a powerhouse, so let it rest naa. Why repeating it?
So it's a sin to mock another country? cos I don't understand you, am I mocking Nigeria? So what's your stress about another country we shouldn't be bothered with that much. You should have just ignored Delaw no be every matter suppose catch your attention, this one no worth am, period!

They are a powerhouse in North Africa. The way you are repeating this even calling them my powerhouse will not cancel the fact that they are a powerhouse.

Even Powerhouses fall sometimes. When Madagascar did us dirty at Afcon 2019, I guess we were no longer powerhouses.
