Oga, I know football and Lookman is SELFISH!!! Let's not play ostrich and pretend we can sweep his misgivings under carpet just because of AFCON showing. He needs this for his career, Simple.

it wasnt too long ago when we couldn't qualify for world cup and we know just how Lookman got bashed for his selfishness. Quarter finals are here, we will also be here.

Caveat: Not saying he (Lookman) hasn't been stellar this Afcon. He has been explosive and dropping good performance
Thank you Lookman needs some part of the blame, but because of his gentle nature he keeps getting away with some of his antics, I remember on this thread when Boniface was struggling to fit into the eagles, Lookman name came up and I mentioned here that Boniface and Lookman need enter a room lock themselves up and talk. Many folks were laughing on this thread. We can see how frustrated Akor was against Tunisia after Lookman scored. Osihmen will burst out in anger but Lookman may be silently sowing discord in that team despite all the good works he’s doing. After all during wcq many were already suggesting too he should be benched in fact many were saying if Lookman played against Benin we won’t have scored those four goals. The team is doing well but every player who is not living up to expectations in terms of character must be called out and not just focus on a particular player. After all both osihmen and Lookman are now on 3 goals.

But we all need to stop like safari said earlier over dramatising all the players atitude all the time. Let the coach or nff iron this out and if they want to froze any player out of the team so let it be.

Mr Yes-Men Crooner is back at it.

Well, even Lookman disagrees with you and says: "....Vic is our number one guy, everybody knows this, he’s a top striker. So, all of that doesn't matter"

So I guess that makes Lookman himself a yes-man. Go and take out his tongue.
We don even get another name yesterday- Praise men 😂 happy to be one always

It's similar to the goal he scored against Tunisia. The drop of the shoulder and shape to shoot. I remember Mujtahida said it that if he had lost that chance against Tunisia he'd have been roasted.

Scene looks like something that could be taken on the chin.
I said so too, na Lookman for collect all wetin osihmen Dey collect today. In this match just like he did for Akor he should have squared that ball to osihmen on the left.

I also salute Chelle for resisting the temptation to start Onyedika. Many Nigerians ignorantly clamored for a double DM pivot which would have ruined the match.

The introduction of Frank Onyeka brought balance, solidity and efficiency to our play, allowing us quick transition from attack to defence without hesitation.
As long as Onyeka is fit onyedika cannot start ahead of him. He’s the reason we can hardly be bullied anymore in the midfield. Onyedika can come in to replace him or Ndidi!

Ungrateful lots, he scores and they moan, he doesn’t score and they curse, he’s injured and they say he’s lying, he doesn’t play and they blame him for the team loss. Useless lots!

Someone even had the guts to say it’s just tap in goals, why are the others not scoring the tap in? Dem tie block on their leg?

Who else was impressed with Bright Osayi-Samuel? That boy has always impressed me since he joined us. He is levels above Alebiosu for sure.
I liked his tenacity today and his link-up with Onyeka.
That’s one of the most improved and impressive players so far but many are still not impressed or satisfied with his play. For me he’s getting his job done as a defender and very committed to the team! What else do I need

Nigerians and their overdo. Slandering their players online.
We had a good game. Why is nobody talking about it?
It’s now I know most folks don’t actually want the team to do well cos there won’t be anything negative to rant about. I have posted here that this is one of the best games I have seen the eagles play and the player they are all ranting about even got a brace.

Nigerians don’t deserve an excellent team. They just want the players and coach to keep on making mistakes for their frustrated ranting online. At this stage I don’t mind we get knocked out now at least they can pack more of their frustrations on the players more.

Good game, Eric Chelle.
Good game, Iwobi (Not all heroes wear capes) cool

As for Osimhen and Lookman. Guys relax. They’ll be fine.

But let’s be honest with ourselves:
Lookman inside the 18-yard box or in shooting positions rarely looks for a striker.
That’s not an insult, it’s a pattern.

Check his assists ....most of them come when he’s not in prime shooting zones. This for those saying he has assists. Hehehe

Now, Osimhen was right and wrong.
Right to be frustrated.
Wrong in how he called it out.
But anyone paying attention knows this frustration didn’t start today... it’s been brewing since the Congo games that cost us the World Cup spot.

Before you come for me, ask yourself this:
If the Super Eagles were goal down, chasing the game, and that same situation happened tonight…

How many of you wouldn’t be calling for Lookman to warm the bench?
Exactly.

Football isn’t emotions only.
It’s moments, decisions, and accountability. This is a wakeup call for super eagles teammates. They will be fine. We are winning the AFCON cool cool.
Another excellent post, where you sef Dey all this while. Thanks boss

So you actually agreed that Lookman was selfish in this game and only started passing after Osimhen shouted at him?

Incredible.
He’s wasn’t releasing the ball on time but look at how quick and direct he was giving Akor that assist.

Funny enough in the first half Lookman was even releasing the ball on time but in the second half there were two instances where he was slow. Let’s not forget o how Akor was reluctant in celebrating with Lookman after scoring against Tunisia it took Iwobi to jump on him to join in the celebrations.

Both Lookman and Iwobi are our creative players and the team needs them most. Go and watch an interview with Sunday mba with Elegbete he narrated how keshi had to threaten to bench victor moses for uzoenyi because of this issue and he mentioned same thing is happening in this team but he refused to mention which player. Most folks assume he was referring to chuks.

Yes. It's Mozambique but na Mozambique wey Cameroun struggle to beat 2-1. Wey CIV manage win 1-0. Mozambique that has a Sporting Lisbon lad in Geny Catamo who shone vs CIV and Cameroun but was rendered useless today.

Mozambique even had 2 shots on target in both games vs CIV and Cam.

But today, they recorded KONDO, ZILCH, ZERO shots on target vs Nigeria.

The Super Eagles just made them absolutely ineffective. It is another statement to be honest but we move. We stay grounded. Algeria or DRC is up ahead.
Why you Dey do this explanation nah, I’ve told delaw make e go watch highlight of those previous games by Mozambique

Can you drop Osimhen to the bench for our next game, as a means of punishing him for today's act?

Of course, you can't.

But Lookman can be dropped for Chukwueze, anytime anyday.

The team always collapses in the absence of Osimhen. We saw this against DR Congo.

We are yet to face a tough side in this tournament, only then will you cherish Osimhen and the X-factor he brings to the team.Case closed.

Did you forget how a similar situation partially affected our chances of winning the game against DRC?
