This is where England's FA have scored an own goal against themselves. All Francophone African countries have free unhindered ride literally to the French league.

But former British colonies have a wall of discrimination and restrictions preventing them from coming in.
Yet we have the charade called the common wealth.

Rohr Forcing Nigerian Players To Sign Contracts For World Cup Spots, DW Sports Agency Breaches Fifa Rule
Allnigeriasoccer.com can exclusively report that Super Eagles manager Gernot Rohr may be involved in some underhand dealings that will jeopardize the chances of the national team performing well at the 2018 World Cup.

The German is imitating Nigeria 1994 World Cup coach Clemens Westerhof, who forced Emmanuel Amuneke to sign for Duisburg and coerced Daniel Amokachi to join Club Brugge over Anderlecht who were also interested in his services.

There are rumours that Rohr has joined forces with DW Sports Management to force Super Eagles players to sign representative agreements with the French-based agency or be omitted from the roster for the World Cup.

It is confirmed that Rohr visited Ahmed Musa and Moses Simon in Russia and Belgium respectively and few months later the two wingers joined the stable of DW Sports Management.

This website can confirm one hundred percent that the Gent winger was financially induced by DW Sports Management before he penned the representation contract and will pocket a percentage of the commission if he joins a new club after leaving Belgium and this is a breach of Fifa's rules banning third parties from influencing the transfer of players.

Bursaspor defender William Troost-Ekong was also approached to join DW Sports Management but he refused their overtures despite Rohr surprisingly handing him the captain's armband against Poland last month in a pre-World Cup friendly.

DW Sports Management also handles the affairs of Henry Onyekuru, Mikel Agu, Oghenekaro Etebo, Brian Idowu and Abdullahi Shehu, bringing the total number of World Cup bound players they manage to seven and counting.

English-based agent Tony Harris influenced the naming of Reuben Gabriel, Michael Uchebo, Ahmed Musa and Uche Nwofor in Nigeria's 2014 World Cup squad and the national team lacked a quality bench in the mundial, they struggled to qualify for the last sixteen before they were eliminated.

In the light of the foregoing, Rohr and DW Sports Management's antics will affect the Super Eagles performance in Russia if they are not cautioned by the Nigerian Federation.

Who in their right sense can argue with the litany of names you have listed.
And yes, Dortmund are rubbish in scouting.
Happy now?

I agree with you. This Barcelona is very much overrated. There's something about the team that doesn't fill you with confidence.
I am still perplexed how they have managed to stay unbeaten in the La liga all season.
This Champions League is Bayern's to loose, although I'm routing for Liverpool because of the Pharaoh.

Do you think I believe he meant it that Moses is better than Salah? Of course I know was joking.

But someone is saying the big guns have never scouted from africa so i am giving an example okay

Some numbers are pretty much inconsequential. The number of Africans the big clubs get straight from Africa is the definition of inconsequential.

Its either you buy a player from an academy or you get him from a playing club.

Am i comparing sporting with madrid and co? No

You are expecting only madrid and barcelona and co to get players from african league?

How many african players have even played for this club, you can count them

If i give you the transfer of players from african league to average europe and smaller europe club you will be suprised.

But sporting is a top club in Portugal and you know it,Portugal league is among the top 10 league in the world so that make sporting a top club.

Basel is s top club in switzerland and got salah from egypt league,i can give you more names

Manucho of angola joined man united from perto atheletico, they scouted him at the angola league and give him a 3 week trial and he passed it then they got him,i dont say what i dont know.
YOu dont understand the discussion we were having, this much is clear to me having read through this post of yours.
For clarity sake, we are not talking about clubs considered grade c in backwater leagues. We are talking about the very best of the best European clubs.

Your Manuchos, Etos and Toures were nothing more than accidental discharges. The big guns scout in South America and Europe.
Your Africa is just an after thought.

You are really not a straight forward person, you said Dortmund had scouting network every where in the world including Africa and I ask which player did they sign straight from Africa and you don't know. now you turn around to say big team don't sign from Africa, you know nothing about scouting

1. Eto.... the best player ever in Africa was scouted by the biggest club in Madrid scout straight from Cameroon
2.kolo toure...from Asec to one of the best team in England Arsenal for just 150,000 pounds

I still ask you for one player Dortmund scouted from africa?
You could only come up with 2 names who who transfered from Africa to a top Euro team. Does this evidence tell you that these bug clubs care about Africans to come scouting here?
Dortmund may not have signed someone from Asec but over the years they have got African players who did well for them.

You really want to go out of your way to pick on one sentence I made to nail Dortmund as not doing enough scouting or being successful at that with the resources and talent that have come through the club, which is the main point of this discussion.

The debate from the beginning wasn't who had the scouting network in Africa, my friend. Don't try and turn this conversation to that.

Big clubs don't scout in Africa, every man and his dog knows this. Except we want to be economical with the truth.

He was a good player not world class. You cannot claim to be world class if you're not doing it in the Champions League, Top 4 European league and the world stage.

Why haven't Moses improved to the point that he could average numbers close to Salah's at As Roma when working with those coaches?

I guess mancity is not a top club that bought Nacho from Taye Academy

I guess sporting CP is not a top club that bought Slimani from CR Belouizdad in the algerian league

I guess real madrid is not a top club that bought Samuel Eto from Kadji Sports Academy

Bros please stop saying what you dont know okay, ask questions before you conclude
HAha So Man city bought Iheanacho from Taye academy? I didn't know oh
I used to think Kelechi was the best player at the world U17s a feat that brought world attention to him. How could I have known Man city sent scouts to Owerri to fish him out.

Sporting Lisbon is a grade A club? So if we mention, Bayern, Real Madrid, Liverpool, Man utd, PSG, we will squeeze in Sporting Lisbon. This is brilliant.

YOu said Real Real Madrid got Eto from Cameroun? Thay was how many years back? 20 yrs ago? If they bought one player in 20 years from Africa, it definitely means they are scouting in Africa.

If we draw a pie chart using your assertions, how will the chart look like?

please sir don't say what you don't know, aubameyang is French born, and already had a good season at saint Etienne and for Mohammed zidane, he was already well known in Germany bremen, Mainz and hamburger.

You asked if players can be signed from african academics and club the answer is yes Nicholas Nkoulou now play for torino was scouted by Monaco from Kadji sport academy and our very own Haruna Lukman was signed by Monaco from global crystal Academy.

That is scouting network, going down to the grass root.
HOw successful have they been qith these players from Kadji sports academy and Crystal Academy? What have been their ROI on these players? How many tournaments have they won with these players?
If you like, you can go to Obanta Utd and get players, the question is what were you able to achieve with these players in terms of finance and trophies.
That's my definition of success.

If not anything, it was the Lukman Harunas and the likes that saw Monaco relegated.
There's no basis for comparism with Dortmund.

Lastly and I repeat ,top clubs don't buy players straight from Africa. Except on very rare occasions. It is the 3rd and 4th class clubs who bother to scout in Africa for diamonds in the rough who they sell for profit. That's it.

If you claim Suarez became a world class player under Brender Rodgers, sorry I can't help you.

There are many factors that makes a player better than another and scoring goals is just one of the factor.

What Salah was for Roma was what Moses was for Wigan.

The point is Moses was influencial to Wigan and even Chelsea in his role.

Moses influence in the National team and Chelsea won them laurels.. Facts

.
How can I help you if you believe Suarez became world class (in other words finished article) at Ajax?
Did Moses get close to Salah's numbers while at Wigan? Salah got 14 assists and 15 goals in 2 consecutive seasons at As Roma. Would you kindly bring Victor Moses stats so we can compare.
Have Moses ever managed double figure goals and assist in a season at any point in his career?

Give honor to whom honor is due, it doesn't reduce you one bit. It's a bit strawman argument to make when you speculate wildly about a player being better than another if he worked with only 3 coaches out of the multitude he worked with previously.

I mean they were no World class players and were not in the top 20 best players in the world as at the time they came to Chelsea. That is my point.

Is it not the same Mourinho that sent Salah, Kevin Bruyne, Lukaku and other talents packing from Chelsea after they flopped under him?

Victor Moses was injured under Rodgers but seriously, is Rodgers a top class coach? I am just asking.

Do you know it was under Martinez, Victor Moses was rated the best dribbler in Europe and it was under him he was bought by Chelsea? Even Martinez told the world Victor Moses was very good and needed to develop before he moved to Chelsea.

Is it not under Conte Victor Moses was nominated for Apoty and BBC player of the year?

Simione, Guardiola and Klopp will improve Victor Moses and could make him more better than Salah.

In my own personal opinion Victor Moses is more talented than Salah but Salah is more refined and matured. That's all.

All these just because you think only 3 coaches can get Moses to play better than Salah.

Interestingly, you haven't told us why Moses haven't scored up to the number Salah got at As Roma, where he didn't work with Klopp, Guardiola or Simione.

The point is that Dortmund have ran a successful and sustainable business model centered on smart scouting and proper development.

By the way, the on going going Common wealth games have once again proved that Nigeria should no longer be classified as a serious sports nation.
Things have gotten so bad in the sports industry that the likes of South Africa who started showing interest in sprints recently, an event which used to be our stronghold can boast of gold and silver in men's 100 meters, I mean even Botswana have athletes dominating 200 meters. While we have zero. How low can we go?

Just 2 silver medals for a country of over 100 million youths is simply not good enough. The President should as a matter of urgency declare a state of emergency in sports. A clear road map on sports development must be drawn before we sign up for future sports meets like the common wealth and Olympics.
