Good evening All.
I am trying to apply for a visit to Canada through the new portal. I filled the questionnaire in the application link. A list of documents to upload was generated. Surprisingly, the supporting documents requested are just my passport and identity card. The optional documents provided are for those applying for work permit.
I could not find anywhere to upload bank account statement, letter from employer and other supporting documents to support my application.
Please house kindly advise. Thanks.

Good day everyone. My husband and I applied for Canada visitor visa Nov 2020. I did the whole application. Two days ago I received a mail from immigration that my husband was not sincere about his response to if he has been denied a visa by Canada or another country. The truth is he applied for a us visa long before we were married and i didn’t know about it: Like I said earlier I filled the application form for him which I unintentionally denied he was refused any visa. But now I am to reply immigration within 10days to explain. Please any help on how I can reply?

I applied in May 2022, BVL dropped 19th April
The issue is that my passport is expiring November 2023 and have requested for passport renewal which is still pending
I tracked my application and noticed visa number was updated today to expire in November due to my passport expiry date.
Please how do I notify IRCC of my passport renewal considering that my passport must be valid for 6months before travel.

Those asking about destination being unspecified. I think it's from the information you filled in your application. For instance, someone visiting a family member in Ontario, and filled the family member's address in his or her application. Definitely, his destination will be Ontario.

If your application did not have a specific address of where you are visiting or maybe your tourism schedule has different province. Your application is likely to have destination unspecified. There is nothing to worry about that.

Once you see visa expiry date and visa document number, your PPR is 99.9% loaded.

I submitted my application since last year Feb and eligibility review started last week Friday but the passport i applied with has expired, please I would like to ask if this is going to have a negative impact on my application

Hello, I did not submit medical result alongside my application. I did my medical after I had submitted the application. The medical facility you used are not supposed to allow you undergo another medical examination since the current one is yet to expire, I don't know how you were able to beat that. Nevertheless, since you have done it, same result must have been sent to IRCC. To be sure of your medical status, you can request for the result from where you did it and send same to IRCC yourself... Your PPR is very close..... Start searching for flight ticket.

I don’t think so. You can give a call to Q-Life after 2-3 days and ask if they have sent your result to IRCC. I did mine 1st March they told me it got sent 5th March when I called them 6th March and my medical was updated 7th March

Please how long does it take to get your passport back from Abuja? I submitted my passport for visa stamping on Thursday, 2/3/23. Since Wednesday, 8/3/23 status when I track it is showing “your processed passport has been dispatched from the Canada visa office to the Canada visa application centre…”.

In your experience, when do you think I’ll be able to get my passport back? I went to VFS on Friday but they didn’t have it. My main problem is my US IW appointment was brought forward and now I may miss that appointment.

Does anyone know how long it takes typically to get visa stamped and returned?

Did anybody request and received gcms note from CBSA recently. I just got my sister’s own. Not sure of what is in it at all.

Number of entries - Multiple(please what does this mean? This means that the visa can be used multiple time before expiration.

Primary office- Nairobi

Hello friends, I need help.

I am filling out the IMM1294 form and it asks about the cost of tuition, room and board, and Funds available for my stay. My questions are the following:

1)Am I supposed to fill in the costs of 1 year tuition or the whole 2 years duration of the program?

2)Also, I have already paid a 10K portion of the tuition. So, Should I add it to the money in my bank statement and use the sum to fill the "Funds available for my stay"?

3. Am I supposed to fill, print out and sign the IMM5645E: Family Information Form before scanning and re-uploading it to the portal? From what I can see, the form does not have provisions for digital signatures

Ask ur brother to send the money into ur account some days or weeks before you print ur MBS (mybankstatement) that you can prove to the VO that you've unrestricted access to the fund.

Thanks for your response.

The name on my current passport is my husband's surname. However after I did that passport, I decided to revert to my maiden name hyphenated with my husband's surname and as such I updated all my documents to reflect the hyphenated surname (driver's license, NIN, PVC, bank details etc etc). I swore another affidavit to reflect that change as well as another affidavit of one and the same person. So basically my only document bearing strictly my husband's surname is the passport. And as I'm renewing now, I'm using the hyphenated surname in my application.

No I did not send anything to them. But i received a notification from them yesterday about my wife’s application as we applied as a family. They requested for the scan page of her passport that has 6 months validity. Her passport expires in May which is less than 6 months. I was impressed they picked this up. The race now is to get the passport renewed within a month and send to them. Hope this helps.

In the Form A, I have registered on the trade system and put my BVN. Now can I use another person's bank account to fill my Form A. I'm filling the Form and the account to be debited from is my brothers, I don't want the money to be put in my UBA account for some reason, I don't have account with the GTB and I want to use my brothers account instead. Is it possible when filling the form?

Pls I have a situation and can't seem to find answers anywhere.

I applied for visitor's visa July 2022 and till now no word. Was hoping I will get a response/visa by December. Now I need to renew my passport as if hopefully I am invited to submit my passport, I will get a longer duration for the visa.

The thing is now I will be changing my surname on the new passport which is different from the name I used in applying. As well as the fact that my passport details will be different too automatically.

Pls someone should advice what I'm to do. Thanks.

Application submitted 26 July 2022, got Passport request on 28 February 2023. Submitted the passport today at VFS. All the best to those who are still waiting for decisions to be made.
