Hello, please I got the M3 yesterday and so far so good, I have not been disappointed. My only problem is the screen guard that came with the phone makes the phone look ugly. The person that sold the phone helped me fix it but it just doesn't want to hold. If I put the phone in my pocket, the screen card would remove. Please, is my case peculiar or should I buy another one? What about Tempered glass, is there anywhere I can buy one? Thanks.

Mine also came with screen guard, i diddnt know the screen was scratch resistance till i scratched with a key and knife, to my surprise it is scratch resistant.

Though i was forced to downgrade from android 5.0 to Lexer rom 4.4(same lollipop ui). Android 5.0 doesnt yet support proxy software like Openvpn or Hotspot shield. Its even faster than android 5.0 when i changed to lexer rom. The best part is that you dont need Sp flash tool, all you need is TWRP to switch to lexer rom.

It also has sms lock, for those guys that dont want their girl to see their bank statement. or for those guys that like privacy u can select the message and just lock it

I use M3 running kitkat, i almost cried, but when i upgraded to lollipop. man i started laughing. cuz the phone changed to a super phone. now i am enjoying my m3. got it 15 of may and i am a heavy user, i use it to stream from youtube every now and then and i stay 2 days the battery doesnt fall below 51% in fact since i got mine the battery has never fallen below 51%. In terms of charging it takes 30min with a 2000/1500mah charger. even now i charged my phone till 10pm yesterday and i rocked it till 1am, i have streamed videos, downloaded songs and still above 70%. I like my gionee. though x551(hotnote) is cheaper with more space and is more value for money too. 5k cheaper than the gionee m3. i still went for gionee cuz i did a lot of reading. And trust me m3 lollipop is far better. though hot note is bigger.

Why do u wanna know? One this is for sure, you aim for the office and not the field. Every O&G company function differently. Several cases what you apply for may not be vacant, so my advice to you is EXPAND YOUR KNOWLEDGE and get some experience. Try other fields of study

Note that you may still do aptitude test, although the competition wont be much and your chances of getting the job are higher

oh that is the kind of recommendation he mean. It is the one at which your superhero of a supervisor knows someone one the inside, well as a matter of fact 68 percent of people you see working in O&G got a job through recommendation. It is also connection things/backdoor thing

But nope oga pass oga. level dey pass level. Manager pass supervisor.

Dont put too much hope on one person. Many can fail u.

Yes its quite possible but the chances of getting one is usually slim because in oil and gas there is always competition for every position you apply. So dont expect it to be a freeway, just try getting there first. Also are u referring to recommendation letter? because these guys in O&G take letters to be nothing.

All i can tell u is that its not as easy as u think. Just be talented in various fields also be ready to face ridiculous aptitude tests, especially the complex quantitative.

there are several ways i know of getting in there, i am like u but its good to share knowledge.



1 The direct approach, you apply directly and pray they call u. Depending on the firm advertising the vacancy there are various stages. aptitude tests, assessment center e.t.c. but aptitude test is always a major draw back for graduates so study hard and its not k+1, calculus or numerical methods, its a completely different thing and time is always short.

2 The indirect approach, get connected with someone on the inside maybe u can get a slot through connection. Let me give u a feed. Oil and gas firms usual employ every 3 to 6 month depending on size they can employ at least 4 per month and advertise vacancies to us graduates to kill ourselves and at the end of it all u get placed on the waiting list while those with connections go through the back door.

3 STARTING LOW: Some people go for the low levels, such as security and cleaner. HOW MANY OIL AND GAS COMPANIES HAVE U SEEN PLACE VACANCIES FOR CLEANER AND SECURITY (ACCESS CONTROL). Forget the pay, there's nothing like when you're inside you know whats going on. I have 2 friend who did that now he's building his house and started as a cleaner and that was 2013. This applies to people of various fields not necessarily for engineering alone.

I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO GET INTO OIL AND GAS since October last year, i have been called for 2 aptitude tests and bros i no go lie u, e no easy to get work. I have hope because i get motivated every time i visit a company. Go and buy a 3 in 1 printer N10K or 11K and have a laptop too if possible ur android phone should do. Surf the web sign up for job alerts. Submit online and Submit to the company if u can. Also dont just wait for them to advertise, because let me tell u what i discovered.

Before any company advertises a job, the HR has 20 approved Cvs for that post dont u know the workers have slots for themselves? Host communites too have slots.
Also before it gets published, rumours fly and people start applying and after it has been published online for nigerians to see, in just 30 mins 400 people have applied.

The 3 steps i have given u should not be a selective measure. Attempt all.

Is it not about industrial safety regulations, i know nothing and KNOWLEDGE IS POWER. It wouldnt be bad if i knew about it before i learn about it. Who knows i may be a contractor tomorrow

I recall of a time NLNG was seeking trainee, only 2 applicants from my school were taken, one was a super distinction candidate, the other had a training certificate from mobil just like your. you stand a high chance BUT i hope you diddnt graduate with PASS. Also guy make i yan u, this na naija if u fit get OGA AT THE TOP connection, you even stand a higher chance because the best jobs are usually not advertised.

Scantee does not work in the oil and gas sector. Check his previous topics he is known for raising topics that draw attention and even fraudulent so that ladies can notice him. I must commend him though for really studying much about how the oil and gas industry works to give the little info he gives he has never worked in shell, total, mobil, addax, agip, seplat, sepatro, chevron, nlng, or even in any oil servicing company such as seadrill, baker huges, transocean, halliburton, slumberger, pacific ocean, siapem etc he does this to give himself some sense of worth....My advise to viewers and readers learn from what he has to say but mind you he is as desperate as you are.

I dont know who you are, and i dont care if your allegations against scantee are true or false, but from what i have been reading here, scantee has motivated me. he is giving me an inside view of what it feels like to be a coy. 250, 000 graduates complete nysc every 3 months and in a year there can be 1.75 million. so imagine 1.7 million graduates in adexen's database every year.

If i were to explain my achievements in my CV, its gonna climb to 3 pages. But good point. I will do that right away.

So scantee why is it that O&G companies barely call for interview these days?
while i was serving in anambra state Sahara Group and Halliburton called me but i was too busy serving a country that doesnt care about me.

Now i have finished serving since October 2014. Till date i have only received 1 invitation and it was even for graduates from hosting communities. Not online submission. I submitted my CV directly. 9 were called 1 was taken. That was november 2014. Since then GNLD people wan kill my phone with text message about job invitation, i receive at least 2/day. Also several scam messages from Shell, Nnpc, Chevron and Seplat. i can easily identify scam messages because of my experience at administration.

My point is that why dont they O&G call any more. I have submitted my CV to almost every known firm. I am online 20hours every day. So as soon as the ad comes i am usually the first to see it. Is my Cv not good enough. Or do i just have the wrong qualification. Please help me check it and give a feed back. Thank You

Recasy, you words are true, when i got contacted by HCP for the aptitude test invitation i had no idea how my name got there. submitted my Cv to Seplat base office directly and 1 week later i got an invite. we were 9 in number that wrote the test. 5 of us diddnt make the 1st stage, and i think they only need 1 person. My cousin's test written weeks before mine they were 2 in number that wrote, why he no go pass, he pass well and his own connection was through a king, but them never call am for medical

That was when i realized that OMO CONNECTION IS THE WAY. Because my Cv wasnt submitted to the secretary or HR, it was directly through the CLO.

I go to seplat nearly every 2 weeks and only 3 weeks back when i say those working in the field, i discovered 40 percent were not graduates. Some got in through IT. I even have 2 uncles there, and one of them is an ND HOLDER who got in also through connection he has worked there for almost 3 yrs, he don build house and has 2 cars. He no hold biro and he never touched paper to get there.

See as from January they will start calling and if they dont call u, u slot is gone and there is nothing u can do about it. So follow up, make some friends there. Do u know that SEPLAT is looking for people? If u can get through the HR/ADMIN, go through the CLO and not just seplat, do the same for all Companies. FIND THAT OGA AT THE TOP. DISTURB HIM BUT DONT PRESSURE HIM.

How many of u here has done medical, you are simply on reserve, if u dont have connection with oga at the top, you may wait forever.

Seplat says there is no vacancy yet they employ new faces every month. This is naija, if u no get connection you no go get pocket power
