You are right to say that the ladies acted based on professional rules but there are instances rules are bent on common sense. Even at the court of law rules are bent by the justice. There are times 6 years jail time crimes are given a year depending on what led to the crime. Example: a hopeless hungry orphan stealing food. He committed the crime but for survival.
Many lives have been lost to rigidity of people at the helms of affairs simply because of some rules they should use their common sense to apply.

For instance robbers struck at an area and the victim was rushed to the hospital the doctor heard that it was true the incident happened but declined to treat the victim until police report is obtained by the good Samaritan. Before theyld process police report the victim gave up.

Several years back. I was given cheque from Lagos by a client to cash in my state of residence. I was having only my international passport as a means of identification. It was a Friday and once I can't cash it, I would have to wait till Monday. There was nothing at home for my family. I went to bank to cash it and got to the cashier who is a female. She checked by he cheque front and back and asked for my ID. I gave her my passport and she looked at me.

"Mr GoodisGod your passport expired two days ago. I was startled I collected it and checked and it was true.
"I am sorry I didn't know until now" I said.
"Any other ID?" She asked.
I said I don't have another
"I can't pay you " she said and called the next on the queue.
"Sister please help me. It's just two days of expiration. I need this money" I pleaded.
" I am sorry I can't pay you" she repeated.
I hurriedly left for another bank before the closing hour. And it was a lady at the counter again. She looked at the passport and said same thing.

"I am sorry it is wrong for me to pay you with expired ID"

I left the bank for another and the thought of my family going hungry through the weekend was bothering me.
This time around I promised myself I won't go before a female cashier no matter what.

I entered the bank and it was my turn in front of a gentleman.
I gave him the cheque and he asked for my ID. I gave him the ID. Then he looked me in the face.

"Mr. GoodisGod your passport expired two days ago" he said.
"Yes I replied. Im sorry I have no other and I need the cash for the weekend" I replied.
"Go and renew it or get another form of ID. When next you come with this I won't pay you" the guy said and he started counting the money.

I breathed a breath of relief.
And since that day, I prefer a male cashier to the females. Even when all my documents are on point.

Ladies change your attitudes. You are made beautiful, so your behavior should be beautiful likewise.

My school is allowing it and i personally think its wrong. Why must i sit together in a lecture room with someone whose face i don't know. Totally covered and making me feel uncomfortable?


I think the total face covering should stop in our SW higher institution. It's a security threat to other students.

If they wear it in Islamic schools fine there is no problem but going to a christian school to fight for such right is provoking and demonic. All in the name of public schools. Where as in a Muslim public school no female would be allowed to leave her head uncovered. It is compulsory to wear hijab. Even if you are a christian. Although hardly would you find s christian child in a Muslim school. Christians don't look for wahala at all.

Wear your hijab to Ansarudeen and Awarislam schools. No wear am reach St. Joseph and St. Mary schools dey look for wahala upadan.

Christians don't send their children to Islamic schools but they are the ones that will be sending their children to christian schools to go and fight for hijab rights. This religion! Chai!

Good day great people of nairaland. I'll make this as short as possible and forgive my typo errors.
I've been working in this construction firm for the past five years together with taking care of my family and my girlfriend who has been in school but due to ASUU strike, now at home.
I'm usually busy and spend less time at home except on weekends - Sundays.
Recently, my girlfriend has been talking me into changing the nature of my work to another job that will afford me the opportunity to give more time to my family and her. I insisted that I'll need more time to be able to find another job but she will not have it that way.
Seems to spoke to my mother about it and it's now hell in the home with my mother threatening she will kill herself if I don't quit the job. This job is something I have used in completing my house and paying the fees of my girlfriend.
Lest I forget, I got the hint that my manager is considering me for a promotion and my quitting the job might just spell doom on me!

I'll appreciate all your suggestions, advice and criticism. I'm really in a fix!

Stick to your job as long as you derive joy and satisfaction doing it.
Call your girlfriend and talk again to her. If she doesn't listen to you now don't think she would when you marry her.
Remind her of all God helped you to do in her life and that of your family. If eventually she doesn't still see reason leave her to her choice. If you lose this job pẹrẹ, and you can't take care of her again someone else will have her. And she will not remember that she was the cause of your misfortune. She will leave you immediately.

As for your mum, call her too. Tell her if you leave your job you may not be able to take care of her again. If she insists, then tell her you have heard her. Tell her weeks later that you have started looking for job. Any day you have a free day lie that you have a job interview. Go out and have fun with friends and come back later with tales of a job interview.

Days later tell her they are offering you 1/3 (one third) of your salary where you presently work. Continue to dribble her till she forgets about the issue.

Never leave your job because of your girlfriend or your mom. You will regret it.
If your babe wants to leave let her leave because she will still leave when you are broke.
If your mum continues saying she will kill herself leave her she can not. It's not easy to commit suicide. And if she is old enough to die. Why worry.

Joint account is not a good thing. You can both have personal accounts and one joint account though. That means you will both work out how much each of you put in the joint account monthly. Joint account without each of you having personal accounts will cause serious problem bin the future.
