Peterjosh: Thank you so much. But look at the ROM on my phone. Its same rom you are to download and flash to try fix the current issue you have. |
Phones › Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by Gptech(m): 1:33pm On Jun 10, 2019 |
Peterjosh: Nope. The phone was fine a while but the hanging demon popped up again... Ok, you need enough data then, try downloading the recovery rom and flash manually first. https://en.miui.com/download-342.html#508Follow the screenshot too to ensure you download the global rom. Copy the rom into the internal memory of your device in a folder you should name downloaded_rom, then go to the updater app, tap the 3 dots on the top right of your screen, choose update package, then scroll down to the folder, 'downloaded_rom ', and tap on the rom. Update will begin automatically, don't stop it till it's completed, takes around 15 mins. Ensure you switch on data during the process.

emitheo: Will you rather wait days to get unlock permission and also wait for XX hours or you will just wait for XX hours? Nothing like waiting for permission anymore, it's official, you just to attempt unlocking and you'll be given the number of hours to wait for you to unlock, 72 hours for old devices like the Redmi note 4 and 360 hours for new devices from the Redmi 5 plus I think. |

2kurupt: You deleted "android" folder This is guaranteed, unrestricted access into brickland for sure. Flashing the android pie update again is the only remedy I see here You'll need to flash the fastboot rom, but was the bootloader unlocked? Do you normally see 'unlocked' under your screen when booting up your phone? |
Phones › Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by Gptech(m): 11:05pm On Jun 09, 2019 |
wiconse: I don't really understand d benefit of unlocking boatloader . Incase your phone soft brick, you can easily bring it back to life when bootloader is unlocked, especially by flashing a custom recovery like TWRP, and then flashing the recovery rom through it. |

optimised: Not so boss. It's the other way round. It is best to communicate with banggood agents via live chat. Just Google or search their website for the live chat webpage. On the aspect of warranty, they have upper hand. While aliexpress is limited to client protection period, with banggood. You can make claim beyond the period that aliexpress usually gives because they sell the goods to you directly as a company and not like most of the third party sellers aliexpress that can decide to ignore you after the protection period elapses. This na good development then, my only two experiences with them nr too good. |

olahpet777: Thanks for your reply. Only issue is that i can't test with the old screen cus it's completely bad. Blackout bad. Then dry phone properly and fix the new screen, if it still has the issue, open dispute sharply, some of these generic screens come defective from factory. |
Phones › Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by Gptech(m): 11:11pm On Jun 06, 2019 |
olahpet777: Hello House. I've got a problem!. So i ordered a screen with frame for my redmi 5 plus about a month ago and it arrived today. Now coincidentally, rain fell today and the board got wet. (the phone itself with the old screen that was bad) i just casually dried it and went to collect the new screen from the post office later and fixed the new screen. At first it was pressing itself and half the touch was working(that was in the afternoon) now only half the touch still works but its no longer pressing itself. Now to my dilemma. Is the new touch faulty and do I return it by pressing that open dispute button OR Dismantle the phone, dry the board till tomorrow?? But i personally think the board getting wet before i attached the new screen should not make the new screen malfunction!
Ahbeg i need y'all's help. Money tight, e must not enter fire jus like that! Edakun! Remove the new screen and dry the phone properly. Put back the old screen to confirm if problem is with your wet phone or the new screen. If it works well, put back the new screen, if problem persists, open dispute, screen is defective. |
