I wanted to know if there's anyway I could track it but ally could get from people around me was discouragement that it's bit an apple phone so I would not be able to get it back and now someone just recovered his Xaiomi phone with MI account for the reason I'm getting a Xaiomi phone...
I would need a redmi 6 pro does any tout have it on stock cuz I can't be Abel to stay offline for more than 3 days and I'll dish out my tecno CM before I could get it.

You nr kw wetin we dey enjoy since na, even my stolen old Redmi note 2 dey chill for one cupboard somewhere because of this.

Hello guys, i lost my phone (xioami redmi note 5) on 12th friday of this month and i was able to get the phone back this last week friday.
It was not easy at all, i was able to recover it through tracking of the phone from my mi account, involving of police and all that. It is a long story sha. What i can just say is that the phone security lock is wow, even after those guys wipe the phone, try to install another rom on the phone, hard flashing and all that the phone was still asking for my mi password. All thanks to God and those that help in the process of searching for the phone ( Thanks Noobody and others too).
Now i am enjoying my phone again.

Nice testimony, thank God for the recovery.

BTW I got a Tecno G9 Pad II battery still good, clean as new with the anti screen scratch wrap on it, follow come charger. Box available but currently not in here Lagos. The only issue is with the screen flickering. Was using it as my Kindle book until recent. Any good offer within Lagos gets it. I'm trying to let go some of these things

I know how many people around me wen dey buy the phone just because of the camera wen dem see, phone wen beat every Infinix and Tecno out there wen dem dey sell over 100k, because of some ppl comments, dem go allow some poor souls go land those weak devices . Na something like this make someone dey ask yesterday if note 5 fit handle Snapchat without lag, because Tecno Camon Cx dey lag with am . I kuku vex install and for both note 4x and note 5 just to satisfy d person curiosity. Imagine comparing the weak mtk processor of the Camon CX with even the S625, not to talk of the S636 . The way some of us dey drop comments here dey do more harm than good.

Got the Note5 and I absolutely love the phone to bits. It's very immersive and aesthetic when compared to its mates in the same spec or price level.


I appreciate the fact that as much as xiaomi tries to bring the best of specs at very affordable prices, but there are few areas they seriously need to work on. Not to sound like an Oliver twist (because with the pricing, this phone company doesn't owe us any better IMO) but there are three major areas I feel needs work on the note 5.


1. The notification light on the RN5.

My second smartphone was a Sony Xperia V. At that time, it was a worthy gladiator with mad specs. I was the envy of many. I got so familiar with my phone so much so that the notification light was sort of perfectly interactive. I knew if I had twitter, Facebook, WhatsApp, or Quora notifications because I enabled distinctive colours for the different apps on my phone. Once my light goes green, I have WhatsApp messages, blue for twitter, red for Quora, and so on. It didn't blink like it was hungry and weak just as the Note5 does. The lighting was perfect and on time. This technology was perfected by Sony in 2011.. I think xiaomi can do something here, because one of the reasons I went for this phone is because of the notification light and I'm not impressed at all.

The coloured notification is not a mistake, they deliberately removed it starting with the Redmi 4x of last year. If you want it so badly you can get the Redmi note 4x , it's a reason I find it hard to let go of the device, so used to coloured notifications.

Lol, u just wan spoil this phone for us. Na me buy the phone from you o. But the first time I got the phone, I was a Lil disappointed with the front camera, well maybe cos of the hype I got here. But albeit, the camera is not bad at all, comparing it with other common devices within its range.
I was opportune to compare it with Infinix Note 5 stylus, Damn, that phone camera na real poo. RN5 beat it hands down. The RN5 camera isn't bad at all since it's a mid range device.

Believe it or not, most selfie lovers I have met prefer the stock front facing camera app to that of Gcam because they hate details , everybody one fine by force. Asaba you see there is just a transit point, all items must go through such transits, located in state capitals before arriving local post offices; you can't collect an item from these post offices. Meanwhile, Warri post office is one of the most efficient I have seen, both in real time and on this thread .

I think I'm clear now on the much hyped GCam ....I'm ok with my follow come camera with portriat mode. I'm sure Xiaomi will soon release MiUi 10.0.02 which will do the needful

Just forget about an update improving your camera performance from Xiaomi, has happened only with flagships.

Naa, that's just too differentiate between the 2.
Seems the algorithm used by both is very different. Even without using portrait mode, there's a huge difference in pictures taken between the 2.

As per bricking..

Besides gcam only really does it's magic in normal lightings.
Usually the phone default camera app gives better pictures in low lighting.
Anyways I don't reckon with smartphone camera for low lights

Truth is under low light, Gcam does better than the stock app, especially when you are after details, this is confirmed using both Note 4x and note 5.
