macbeyland: I don't think you can make this conclusions without considering the fact that the condition of the fall on the above mentioned devices might actually be different.
My max 2 has fallen down on the tiles from my bed severally. On one night, it fell 3 times, one of them it fell flat, face down. You also need to consider the fact that screen protector that doesn't fit might be a contributing factor to the breakage...
Just try to fix your screen and get a fitting screen protector and pouch.. True, am now very conscious when am walking on tiled or tarred surfaces, falls are not predictable, and glass is brittle and poorly resists shock. |

tyoba: I broke the screen of my xiaomi redmi note 5a prime, the 3g ram yesterday. First drop ever, the screen shattered despite a screen guard not designed specifically for 5a prime. Could not get one for it and using that pending the delivery of the rugged case and screen protectors I ordered for from Aliexpress. Can I fix the screen in Nigeria? Any idea as to price also? Many thanks cc noobody. |

tyoba: Further to above, I doubt if its a gorrila glass3 on the phone. My note 2, z10, note 5 and hot5 pro dropped so many times without breaking. Was going to root for Xiaomi but they broke my heart. What should one expect from top specs affordable phone? Compromise in other areas abi Which surface did it fall on? Am asking because mine also fell many times from various heights without any issue. The day it fell on tarred road, that's it! Replaced the screen, just under two weeks, fell on tarred road again, and same thing happened . Morale is, not all surfaces are thesame, some are harder and rougher. The harder and also the tougher a surface, the more the likelihood to shatter your phone. Also, how the phone drops and lands determine its survival. |

Agbi4: Hello Xiaomites, I have been trying to add my account and device so that I can start my bootloader unlocking process on my Redmi Note 5 but I keep getting an error to connect to the network and try again but my data is active and the network is quite strong, I have even tried while connected to WiFi but the same error. Please who has idea what I should do because on a serious note I'm having a bad experience using MIUI and I wish to install a custom rom. Simply reboot your phone and try again. |

henry007: Not gonna lie, as at rn i would pick a SD636 over a P60 still just coz it's more expensive and I am Nigerian loool I think there is more to this, something almost synonymous to investing in the Dollar rather than the Naira. |

henry007: Snapdragon didn't exactly have a good run with the SD810 so a lot can be said of the flagship processors across the board that year. Yeah, true , that year was for Exynos . Particularly loved that year because Qualcomm needed to make amends after the whole saga, they had to prove a point by any means, and so came the beginning of a new era for mid range devices, the Snapdragon 650/652. This processor bridged a wide gap between flagship and midrange phones, it's the reason the Redmi note 3 pro was a huge success, the performance was ahead of its time. The Redmi note 4 was actually a downgrade as far as performances is concerned, the Redmi note 5 is the worthy successor. As for Mediatek, maybe because we didn't expect much from them, they barely tackled their major flaws, though the Helio X20 is by far better than the X10 in terms of heat management. |

dhannyson: what about the repairs is it easy to fix in Nigeria. I saw a tab on Jumia EASTMAN TABLET it has a great spec what do you think about it Repair is easy, you just order for the needed part, as for the EASTMAN tablet, don't think it's q good buy, always do some findings before venturing into some brands. |
Phones › Re: Xiaomi Or Oukitel which is better by Gptech(m): 11:30am On May 29, 2018 |
dhannyson: Where can i get either of those tablet in Nigeria. And can i get any of them for 30-35k. I checked Jumia these products has Nice specs but i don't know about their durability. If i can't get the tab for that price, i could go for their smart phone. The question is who has used the product and what is you experience i'm tired of using Infinix i'm always having slow chargin issues or chargin port related issues especial after 6 month of purchase Oukitel is a very small brand and no where near Xiaomi. Don't think Oukitel makes tablet but Xiaomi does but only 3 so far. The price is far above what you have, over 80k. You can try out Teclast if you are keen on cheap tablets though still above your budget. If you want phones, then settle for Xiaomi, you get maximum value for money, will advise you up your budget abit. |

femooshad: Nigerians will always badmouth products sha... MediaTek is the only reason Snapdragon powered phones are going on a cheap. And their devices are not bad at all. You don't need to rubbish the product!!! Nobody rubbish anything, inasmuch as we welcome competition, we also welcome improvements and efficiency. When you start a competition, you should be ready to finish it well, this is not 2013 anymore. |

Even if na iPhone dey use mediatek or Xiaomi.... I ain't interested. Hehehe, I see pepper for their flagship chips, starting with the Helio X10, then X20 and the overclocked X23. Can never ever be tempted again, even if they turn the table around and before consistent for 5 straight years, the level of instability with time is alarming . |
